There's more than one George Strait song you could be referencing and if you haven't listened to 1 of them you should because both of them are fantastic. You are most likely talking about the song "Give It Away" But right at the end of your instructions for us to leave the answer you mentioned that she looked back and didn't say a word and didn't even say goodbye. That makes me wonder if you aren't talking about a song called "Babies Gotten Good At Goodbye" Basically the song says that his woman has left before but she always comes back....... But when she left this time she didn't cry which has him wondering if she's finally gotten good at goodbyes.
