She even does the classic tsundere denial and trips and stutters while doing it.

She just said that because in her perspective ayanokoji is just a gloomy, ordinary guy but this girl is making a lot of moves from here and there and that made things easier for ayanokoji to expose her during the unanimous exam. This means that don't threaten people you don't know well because ayanokoji's outward appearance is just a facade too and much scarier than kushida.
