A Condition Called Love Synopsis:
Hotaru Hinase is a first-year high school student who treasures her family and friends above all else. Unable to understand romance, she decides she will be content living without the experience of falling in love.
While Hotaru is spending time at a café with her close friend, she witnesses the relentless breakup of a handsome honor student, Saki. Encountering him sitting alone in the snow on her way home, she extends her umbrella to him in a gesture of kindness.
The very next day, Saki appears in Hotaru's classroom, asking her to be his girlfriend. Despite being rejected, Saki sticks closely by Hotaru's side, performing selfless acts in hopes of pleasing her. Hotaru begins to feel emotions she had never felt before.

I think it's interesting 🤔 to see an anime where the guy is crazy about the girl, and the girl is the semi-disinterested one BUT she is nice and kind about it. There is so many mean girl tropes or that the girl is the pining one. This anime interests me because of the subversion of the "obvious" dating anime tropes.... Except his stalker/excessiveness is showing up more and more (waiting for almost 2 hrs each morning and a shrine to her?)... Hopefully this anime can show a way to deal with those kinds of issues in a partner in a healthier relationship way, instead of either ignoring it or making it an eye rolling 🙄 trope. #mentalhealthisimportant #healthyrelationshipgoals

Yeah but I was getting a bit creeped out. He could so easily be a psycho who just "wants her for himself". I hope they show some healthy relationship behaviours instead of saying that this obsession is what love is. Because resting your happiness and love only on one person is unhealthy, for both people.

the title is misleading because both of them have no idea what love is. He is a hopeless romantic with no idea what love is about and he is more in love with the idea of being in love. At least he learns from his mistakes.

@@ComfyTeaShojo I'm not nitpicking, I'm just pointing out that the title misses the message of the anime. The story is centred on both of them. Through her, he started to understand what love actually is instead of his self-centred view of love. Hopeless romantics only care about their own feelings because they care about the idea of love, not about actually being in love with the other person. That's why he always did things for her at the cost of his health etc. without thinking about how she would feel when he got sick for example. She doesn't understand love but neither does he. The story is about a girl that doesn't understand or care about love and a hopeless romantic finding out together what love actually is about. This anime is picking apart and reconstructing highschool romance anime. I'm not a youtuber, so I'm not used to making video titles, therefore I can't help you much with that. I don't understand why you have to be so defensive and passive aggressive about this tho.

It hurts so much when the other person doesn't want to be friends after things don't work out. Like NEVER seeing me again is wild to me. I can understand taking all the time you need to process but knowing that we'll never speak to each other again and it wasn't even a bad break up hurts. I do understand that they are hurting and that it hurts to be around me but sometimes it's like we were great friends first and the NEVER wanting to see me again makes me feel like we were never friends to begin with.

I understand it more when you met through dating. But if you a homie and don't want to maintain a friendship after it doesn't work out then idk I know you can't speak for future you but I guess emotionally I'd rather you not have dated me in the first place and stopped being my friend. You're investment is too deep to then not want to EVER be my friend again after we don't work out. And I'm the time of person that will 100% leave you TF alone and let you do your thing. I guess when I signed up for this dating thing I KNEW I can accept losing you as a partner but the feeling wasn't mutual.

Yeah I think that's better lol. Just stop being my friend first and then months later ask me out. That'll work LMAO! The heart is weird. Though if the condition was: "In order for us to date we first have to stop being friends." Then I could accept this condition because THEN I am going into the situation informed. I can brace myself in the event we had to break up. Then there are the people who stopped being friends over a rejected confession. Again I'm fine if you need time because my very existence hurts you but the NEVER part is where I get hurt. But if it's just a confession then it wont hurt me nearly as much.
