KAMIPPOI is slang for "awesome" or "cool," although it also literally means "god-like. This song is about those of us who blindly follow the trends setters in fashion, music, literature, and criticism, shouting "KAMIPPOI" and dancing to the tune of the trends.
I think this song depicts Ado's personality best. I think it is also my favorite song that Ado sings. Other songs I like to listen to a lot are "Yokubari", "Last Resort", "Uminaoshi", "Odo", "Gira Gira", "Eien No Akuruhi".
Sure its all Ado. Ofcourse she couldnt sing it all live without a backing track doing some of the layers- but its the same for a lot of songs - Odo has several layers of her singing too.
I have a counter argument to this. Although at the time when she covered this, she couldn't do the faster pitch shifters present within the song as she has admitted herself, I'd argue that now she is definitely capable of such a feat. In Fleeting Lullaby for One Piece Film Red the really fast rap section she does is about as on par with some of the stuff in Godish. Whether she has the breath control to keep up with the pace is something we really wouldn't be able to tell unless she attempted it, we know for a fact that the segment from Fleeting Lullaby is one take because she did it live on Twitter, slowed down because a lot of people we're asking about it. TOPHAMHAT-KYO, the man the myth the legend behind the track did a demo of how that part of the song was supposed to be done which is what Ado based her take on, she talked about this in a live stream, you can find it translated here, and she also talked about how difficult it was to do it. Again, one has to remember this cover was done a while back, and a lot of people have talked about how much Ado's vocal control has improved (which isn't just a compliment, it's practically heresy, she was already insanely proficient, the fact that she's only getting better is scary as fuck). But back to the topic at hand, if she ever decided to cover it again (I mean, why would she?), yeah, I think she'd be able to do it one take. (Side-Note: The term "pitch shift" is usually associated with music editing, in the manner I'm phrasing it is used when you shift the pitch of your singing voice, I'm using it as a descriptive term associated with the act of a person's voice shifting in pitch, not with the act of "editing". This can be confusing for some who are aware of the term, as I don't know who everyone is or their experience with music production or vocal performance, I thought it'd be wise to place this disclaimer here.)
@@mitrikgaduk347 I wasnt talking about switching to totally different voice types fast etc- I bet she COULD do most of that now. Im talking about the times there is multiple layers of her voice singing different things! No matter how talented she is she cant sing 2 seperate voice lines at the same time!
Have you reacted to any songs from Sayuri yet? She is one of my favourite artists of all time. Some songs i recommend are Mikazuki, Reimei, Tower of Flower, Heikousen, Tsuki to Hanataba, the erased ed, Koukai no Uta etc. She is a really good artist imo.
I like this song because when Japanese people listen to it, it makes a sarcastic comment about someone in the world who feels like it's okay to act like a god.
This is gonna be another rabbit hole request, but if you love this song so much (and not just ado), i would like to recommend Maria Marionette's cover of God-ish. She's from another Vtuber agency called Nijisanji and her cover is only 2nd best to Ado imo.
I like the original better. Also it's not her song. So people need to give credit to PinocchioP who actually made it. It's not my favorite PinocchioP song. I love 'Nobody makes Sense' better. But he's got a lot of great songs. The lyrics to Nobody makes Sense are a lot better translated to English. Maybe God-ish makes sense in Japanese. Probably. The English translations are a mess.
@@Jordan-Ramses It makes sense in English if you don’t directly translate it like most people do Japanese makes zero sense translated to English direct one to one - which is a problem because no one takes creative liberty with that. AmaLee is one of the very few cover artist who actually translates Japanese words into English that makes sense without getting rid of the meaning
i can agree to disagree about liking the cover more than the original, because both have their goods and bads. me i personally like the original better.
