That's not an comparison, Elizabeth Holmes claimed to have built a tool which does something at a very low cost. Laura isn't claiming to do any such thing, she simply invests in startups that look promising to her
I don’t see how anyone this young who didn’t finish school can even remotely qualified to do such things. That either means it’s way easier to do this sort of stuff than I thought, or she should go to Vegas!
@@boot-strapper let me be even more explicit: she is able because se _didn't_ go to school. Therefore she isn't nor has ever been a middle schooler. I wouldn't let middle schoolers run the country, but for sure people like her would be much more capable to do it than the ones in charge today (for today in a broad sense. I'm not doing any political party dinstiction here).
@@LucasDanielSantoro of course she went to some form of school - its the law. So elementary, or middle, or high school. whatever it was, she isn't qualified. you should stop putting people like this on a pedestal. It's delusional.
@@neverpayingtaxes no point arguing with some bigot painting all women entrepreneurs the same. Elizabeth Holmes had no silicone valley backers. They were all old dudes with no background in tech. Laura Deming’s VC are complete opposite.
Not even close. She's already a proven success in her field, investing in and helping others start companies related to longevity. She specifies not being on the front lines, is careful not saying anything currently undeterminable or definitive such as timelines, and is responsible enough to not tell people what to take or what she even takes because everyone's body is different even if something works generally. The problem is SOME people can't even imagine where technology or science can and will take us. It's always been like that though.
Great interview Justin! Aging is such an interesting topic and it surprisingly has not gotten the amount of attention it deserves, especially in the tech world. I hope someday the compensation can be on par with the importance, to get more smart people working on this problem.
Justin, this is really informative, but not knowing her age and what years she's talking about, it's hard to get tangible timeline of how events transpired. For instance, at what year did she email the lady at the lab? Are we talking about the 90s or like 5 years ago?
I quickly want to recommed Dr ncube for a good well readings, future predicting and astrology readings, removing of bad luck and removing bad spells. For personal and private readings.
I think this tech should not be given to markets and should only be used by scientists as more age means they can reasearch better after all the knowledge they have gained, but this will be a disaster if given to free markets
