i believe that Lucy is supposed to be nature. It's written in the Romantic period when, after the Industrial Revolution, cities became afwul places to live in with poor living circumstances. It's typical for the Romantic period to long for nature. So it would make even more sense. He also writes how she is now in her grave and how she ceased to be because nature had to make room for factories and houses. That, at least, is my interpatation :) Thank you very much for this video. Ans sorry if there are any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language :)))

Hello, I am a booklover and this is my favourite poem by William Wordsworth. Thank you so much for this video, your explanation is very thorough and clear. I like it when RU-vidrs don't just read a poem but make an analysis or comment - I try to do so myself and to analyse the text on my own channel. I subscribed to your channel and I look forward to watching more videos.

I think this is a good analysis. 'She' cannot be a real individual, otherwise how could she dwell amongst the 'untrodden' ways? If she were a person, she'd have to either hover above the ways (routes), when using them, or just..well...stay put and never leave one spot.
