*F A K E T E A R S O N P R E T T Y F A C E* Please do your due diligence and research this woman's credibility. She has already been exposed as a fraud exaggerating/fabricating her claims. Her stories have been inconsistent and contradictory over the years, raising questions as to the veracity of her claims. Anyone who is tempted to believe that this woman might be telling the truth should look up ****. Park Yeonmi is a compulsive liar and a narcissist. She has been caught in a million lies and simply profits off her NK sob story and by virtue signaling. No better than Greta Thunburg! Short version, her story is full of holes and she has changed it multiple times (she can't even remember it consistently which is a problem with people who make things up since things that actually happened are just plain easier to remember than things you made up for profit.) Also see "Why do North Korean defector testimonies so often fall apart?" in The Guardian. The combination of cash incentives (from various political organizations as well as the government) and the media’s constant pursuit for disturbing stories encourage refugees to exaggerate for financial rewards as well as popularity which in her case, she was able to use to tour the world AND become an actress. Also look up North Korean defector Shin Dong-hyuk who wrote a bestselling book about his life in a gulag he was never actually in and admitted the fact AFTER earning vast sums of money with a memoir which he made up. We have to do a great job in putting together a very strong case that exposes Park as a deceitful opportunist & charlatan who took advantage of the Western society's goodwill & sympathy for her own financial gain. I also noticed that she seems to really enjoy the spotlight & relish in her celebrity status, which made me very weary about her real motives. But her contradictions, distortions & lies can't be excused away or justified. So many commenters here have made asinine remarks about trauma, developing memories, age counting differences, etc. in order to deny or deflect the objective facts presented here. Really sad that people become so emotionally invested in someone like Park to the point they are unable or unwilling to critically analyze the reality & the facts that clearly demonstrate her manipulation & fabrication of the facts. She can't seem to get her story straight . Anything about the life about her family is said to be lies. Life in North Korea may be shit. Life in many countries of the world is shit. She was never a “defector”. At most she is a refugee, at least, an economic migrant. Her mother and herself lives like princesses according to testimony of people who knew her while she lived in the DPKR. She has become a Millionaire and is living the dream. She didn't waste any time capitalizing on the misfortunes of her fellow North Koreans. Really sucks that RU-vid has made it so easy for con artists to create a channel with a fake bleeding heart story and get super rich off the caring public that falls for it. There's so much of this going on across many different subjects. ****Please google this: "The Strange Tale of Yeonmi Park" in The Diplomat

Everytime i hear Yeomi speak i am appalled by what she went through, so much courage ! i grew up in the lower middle class in morocco and moved to France at 18 for studies and i realized that we all had more or less the same childhood ( compared to NK ) with the same human rights and the development of technology ( tv then internet then smatphones etc .. ) aspirations, goals , i used to think morocco was not a good country to live in but i think it's paradise compared to NK, thank you for telling your story and i hope that the north koreans will one day be liberated !

*"How can anyone think this clown is telling the truth."* Yeonmi is a paid, celebrity "witness." The Diplomat did a write up of her about how her stories do not line up, and they have the receipts. It’s is fabricated, unfortunately. I know that perspective is difficult and unfair, it seems, but that’s the point of such a story perfectly tuned over time to appeal to your emotions. If you need more proof look at the Greyzone video with Max Blumenthal, and another further report he did previously. There is a literal TV program in South Korea where North Korean defectors compete with their lavishly embellished escape stories to win.. it’s a game show. Yeonmi Park has personally made almost $1,000,000 telling her story. Her story changes massively. One of the most crucial changes in her story from the initial tv interview is that her father was initially with her when she left N.K.. later she said it was only her mom that was with her, in order to weave in the part where her mom is raped to save her from that assault- a much more heart-wrenching progression. Says she was poor but slips up by saying she grew up with her mum having chanel handbags🥴....how can anyone think this clown is telling the truth. Anything she says is suspect, as she could easily be grifting Rightwing media. The story is she stole other defectors stories. She was a high ranking person in DPRK (according to one version they claimed) and did escape (probably through bribes). She steals other people’s stories to make her story sound more sensational. you will always see someone trying to be over dramatic and get attention and fame by making the story 100 times worst. Did she go through horrible things? We don't know. Did she use other peoples stories and exploit them as her own? Yes, 100 percent. She's definitely from North Korea and she definitely "escaped" but I'm pretty sure she's laying the story on thick because her whole career depends on it. It's her livelihood. She's Korean Elizabeth Holmes. She arrived here in South Korea and used the refugee system in every way, got free education, numerous plastic surgeries including breast implants, appeared on TV to find a rich man, failed, then rehearsed years for the show targeting foreign countries. They never escaped to Mongolia. Her mother never raped, and they were never kidnapped/captured as sex-slaves! And her father never was or died in China! The whole story/ her book is pure fabrication. I can document it! But I am not aware of their real life/ story! I just know that they are lying! She lied about her father's death, and got exposed by North Korean government, so she had to admit it (in silence! few people were paying attention to it). Here you go : "But North Korean government came after me and described me that I didn't suffering in North Korea and also they said that my father died in North Korea not in China, and they say that I was an very ambitious girl because he gripping ambitious extremely bad thing and they say you are an ambitious girl, and your father was a bad person, and your mom was immoral person...........But they didn't really come up with a like big thing *except my father died in North Korea* and my father's ashes were in China, and my mother went to China a few months ago and brought my father's ashes to South Korea." WOW! She has such an amazing story! She didn’t make it out of North Korea because of luck, she had a destiny to fulfill and she is living up to it. I just purchased her book on Audible. Thank you for recommending it. On a side note, I was in Pusan, South Korea, while I served with the U. S. Marines, during Team Spirit ‘90. You were not born yet. LOL

I think Madam Yeonmi is a huge force against dprk. She's a fantastic human being, I'd say angelic. I almost think that she is an 😇 angel because she's so ethereal looking and has so much life light surrounding her! She has thousands of angels helping her and she is feeding them somehow with her bright light of love 💖 she's an angel of the first degree. She's as sweet as sweet as tupelo honey just like honey to the 🐝 bee. Keep singing sweet words of freedom sister! Hugs from Colorado USA 🇺🇸❤. Tiff Q

Here you go : "But North Korean government came after me and described me that I didn't suffering in North Korea and also they said that my father died in North Korea not in China, and they say that I was an very ambitious girl because he gripping ambitious extremely bad thing and they say you are an ambitious girl, and your father was a bad person, and your mom was immoral person...........But they didn't really come up with a like big thing *except my father died in North Korea* and my father's ashes were in China, and my mother went to China a few months ago and brought my father's ashes to South Korea." *F A K E T E A R S O N P R E T T Y F A C E* Please do your due diligence and research this woman's credibility.

Here you go : "But North Korean government came after me and described me that I didn't suffering in North Korea and also they said that my father died in North Korea not in China, and they say that I was an very ambitious girl because he gripping ambitious extremely bad thing and they say you are an ambitious girl, and your father was a bad person, and your mom was immoral person...........But they didn't really come up with a like big thing *except my father died in North Korea* and my father's ashes were in China, and my mother went to China a few months ago and brought my father's ashes to South Korea." @@surenaanerus7387 dude I know all of this. My hope is if people go and watch multiple videos of hers that they will figure out she's lying by themselves. I'm being sarcastic as fuck on purpose. The first time I watched her tell her story I felt bad for her. Then I watched her tell a different story in a separate talk, then again, and again. I should actually thank Yeonmi because her bullshit stories opened my eyes to weaponized defectors and how the US empire uses people like her.
