I'm from Enfield and visited the shop twice. Their gyro is not good! They literally got TikTok famous out of making an oversized kebab and charge you a lot for it. There is nothing authentic about their gyro, and I'm a London-born Greek who has eaten gyro all my life. Drive 10 minutes to Winchmore Hill and go to "Going Greek". They make a gyro worth the trip. Thank me later. 😅

Tik Tok Rip Off - crazy prices - as a proud northern lad myself we have a couple of authentic Greek Kebab Shops in my area and you would get the same for about £18. At Both places they make their own kebabs not the mass produced mysterious meat. I know it's London but those prices are crazy

As a former executive chef at a Greek restaurant, I have to say you have no idea what you're talking about. Skepasti is like a Greek version of a quesadilla. Comparing a Skepasti to a Gyro is like comparing a Quesadilla to a Taco.

Totally true. However maybe the business is actually following the law and has to pay insane London business rates and rents in order to survive? Maybe the owner should turn it into an "American Sweet shop" or a "Turkish Barber shop"? All cash laundering and the HMRC will not touch with a barge pole. I bloody love a doner as much as the next person but that plate on the left for 12 quid looked much better (in appearance and value) than the 32 quid gyro on the right.
@@deadzio For a portion that seems suitable for one and a half people, not even two, £32 divided by 2 = £16 per person. This doesn't include a drink and comes with just a small serving of fries, definitely overpriced. Even German Doner Kebab is cheaper and gives you more food.

Gotta try king schwarma, bottom of Westgate in wakey mate, their wraps are banging for the price mate, loads of meat fresh salad n fresh baked bread for £4.50,yes I've eaten better food but nowt as good for that price
Obviously things have changed since he started, more followers, more revenue and feels the need to turn out vlogs seemingly just for more content. The endearing charm and down to earth quality of the earlier ones have progressively evaporated. That price is ridiculous.
hi danny you should go to rainham in essex there is a lovely kebab shop that i go to called village kebabs the kebabs are so nice i have been going there for over 12 years
£42 for reconstituted off cuts. Kebabs are everything unsavoury in the food world. I watched them build a kebab meat roll in turkey,it turned my stomach.
Don’t know about prices in England right now, but here in New Mexico, that gyro is a bargain. (I’m just assuming that my “Rate of Exchange” chart is accurate).
