@@Jnor116 Haven’t read many hulk comics, but I don’t think it matters. His character was good, if they’re going to bring him back as a comedic relief they might as well have not brought him back at all.
@@novamorphex Yeah. They make THE Abomination into a cuddly littl' thing that you can enjoy a wholesome evening with. You must be too young to even remember what he was before Marvel decided to make this joke of a show.
Tim Roth is a great dramatic actor, and a very good comedic actor, also. He is one of Tarantino's main go-to actors in all of his movies. Most of us in USA probably saw Tim Roth first in "Reservoir Dogs" as the Undercover Cop. One of the funniest things you will see him in is where he plays the hotel Bellboy/Bellhop on New Year's Eve in New York in a movie that is 4 separate stories called "4 ROOMS" AND HE IS A COMEDIC GENIUS, it is very funny and also a somewhat "black/dark comedy" and there are A LOT of big-name actors in the movie and he steamrolls them all and basically steals every scene in the movie.
4 Rooms is so underrated and a fantastic movie! I remember being a manager at Blockbuster and there was only 1 copy in the entire store, since it was pretty much an indie film. Glad I reserved it for myself cause it was rented all the time. Best decision I ever made cause it was hilarious with a bit of suspense. The ending when he chops off the finger without hesitation had me rolling! 😂😂
I think that Abomination is still not completely clean. He shows too many signs of a classic psychopath, like the constant chill he is in, as if everythin is on control. Maybe this is still no bad news for Jen and Bruce, since Emil might have a grudge more against the ones who put him into jail than Bruce, who only was protecting himself and his close ones.
Given how collected Blonksy is these days especially due to Wong’s influence, I suspect if he’s got an agenda it’s a long game plan that doesn’t involve violence. I suspect he either wants to upstage Banner or alienate his image given the honestly gory things he saw Hulk do in 2008.
@@cintovalenzuela7710 That’s the heroic group. C.R.A.S.H. is short for Chaotic Radical Agency of Super Humans and consists of Abomination, Titania, Absorbing Man, Sauron, and Blastaar.
But the whole point was that she didn’t want to be a superhero. And how exactly does even the greatest attorney on the planet handle the equivalent of the Hulk meets Charles Manson?
The show would have been soo good if they just went with the most basic of she hulk plot she hulk getting her powers from a car accident that forced bruce to save her by blood transfusion in the comics, she is happy bc Jen has no friends and doesn't getting the praise she deserves but when she becomes she hulk, she becomes very confidence The point of She hulk is about self esteem, Jen sees it as a blessing for her to be confidence while Bruce sees it as a curse cause of his anger inside They could have made it where Jen needed to learn how to love herself as herself instead of relying on Shehulk
@Zagor mate the whole thing of abomination being amazing was that he was so primal and scary. Heck that 2008 abomination still scares me as an adult never mind a little kid me. Now he's some goofy boring character
@@14lamnc1 do you really find marvel films "scary"? Well, to each their own i guess. But i must say i find it a bit funny you desperately wanna see "big monster go smash"
@@zagorsaxethey had source material that was obviously successful and widely accepted, and threw it out the window. This show is a joke of what hulk is supposed to be. If you are watching the hulk for in depth character analysis, ur in the wrong spot my friend. Go watch othello or hamlet🤣
These idiots already knew he could transform into a huge monster. Why are they freaking out like another apocalypse has come when he actually decides to transform?
I actually like the show just for entertainment but, abomination in my mind is never going to be this tame. He'll always be the deep voiced monstrosity that was able to go one on one with a version of the hulk that had no limits. This version of the hulk is just, forgetful.
I just watched the entire show and it wasn't terrible at all , i give it a 7.6/10 even 8/10 per episodes, it was fun ,light and a good introduction to she hulk in the mcu universe, they showed how resilient, smart, strong and funny she is
remember when everyone hated the hulk movie now everyone’s treating it like a gah damn jewel. How can you criticize something when you don’t even know what the hell you want
Well thats probably because a lot of the new shit is even worse. When something worse comes along you tend to appreciate what you might have over criticized in the past. Like the prequel trilogy for star wars after the disney trilogy came out. Or the Hobbit after the tolkien anti-fanfic that is rings of power.
In the 2008 movie, they made it look scary, he didn't have the thin ears, but he was still scary Here they put the fan years on, and made them look like his retro self(which I like very much), but they made a face look too human
After hearing Abomination's voice, I am noe worried how they will also make The Thing to be a joke too. Imagine saying "Its clobbering time!" in a high pitch voice.
Okay, yeah, I'm calling shenanigans. Blonsky may have control, but he's the BBEG. Calling it RIGHT now. Also I love that Wong, when told he has committed basically a federal offense is like "Yeah, no, bye." and portals out.
I just hope they don't insult my boy Tim Roth and actually have Abomination be consistently more compelling. For a former special-ops commander of the British Royal Marines he should also be provided opportunities to show he is by the end of the day a Warrior. Perhaps one who can fight for good.
I honestly don't believe he's become the peaceful loving good guy he said he's become. I think he's planning something and She Hulk is the key to his plans. I'm not sure how but I just have a feeling that he hasn't changed. Also the reason I say I think She Hulk is the Key to his plans is because towards the end of the newest episode some thugs tried to get She Hulk's blood and when they failed and ran back to there can to drive off they said that there boss wasn't going to be too happy about there failure. I was thinking Abomination is there boss and he needs her blood for something but we'll see.
If anything, this peaceful approach is probably a long game plan. Abomination now has evened his temper learning from Wong, so now he’s able to first react by using his wits. He was a renowned soldier and definitely not dumb as a result. If there’s anything he could want still against Hulk, it’s to spite him. If he can’t do that with violence, he can do that by alienating his image. Let’s not forget Hulk did some fucked up things in 2008 and many of them Blonksy witnessed. He could easily go public with it in some form. Hurting Hulk physically doesn’t last, but emotionally, oh it’d have the ramifications Blonksy could be looking for. I’m not sure if he’s involved with Walters’ assailants. The need for gamma blood feels more like something Sterns would want and if he’s now The Leader, he’d definitely be smart enough to find a way out eventually.
Probably not in this series but I’m a future one I bet he’ll go back to his old ways and hulk and she hulk will be involved I think we will see red she hulk and red hulk too it’s about time we get some more hulk enemies
She Hulk: "The man you see before you is not the same man as you see before you" Me: Wow! No kidding?! Here I thought this was the same guy from 2008! 😂
He sure was better looking in The Incredible Hulk. I cannot believe fans hated that version of him! That 2008 Marvel movie was spot on to introduce the Hulk and Abomination like that!
@@OneDumbDudeExactly! All they need to do is have Thunderbolt Ross become the Red Hulk and say that he can't transform back into human form or else he'll die. There you can hire a voice actor to do the voice acting for Red Hulk and that's how you do Red Hulk in the MCU and also keeping William Hurt in the MCU.
@@callmestorm23 I understand your idea, but I doubt marvel would roll with that, and the fans would probably call it bad writing knowing how whiny Marvel fans are.
Tbf Blonsky's won the battle with his alter ego, that's why it is his voice we hear in the monster form. Similar to Banner, Blonsky managed to surpress his monster side and gain control of his body
In the business this is called they were going to use his original scarier 2008 design then changed it in the editing bay once they were told he was going to be redesigned in Shang-Chi....
I wasn't invovled in their craziness- Tho if 2003 Hulk had an animated reboot?? maybe this design of Abomination could be a cool 2003 Hulk atagonist than David Banner lol.
Blonsky might be reformed if he proves in the next alien attack(if that ever happens, which I doubt somewhat) if he and Bruce, make up for what happened, I honestly think what ever was in that serum he was injected with, mightve contributed to him going psychotic and destroying parts of Harlem
Hulk: A complete and total bitch. Abomination: A waste of PHENOMENAL acting talent and an underrated, underutilised story arc. She-Hulk: Apparently the woman who can do no wrong.
@@thelegend_jlz its more accurate but it looks worse. they also gave like literally zero reason for his drastic change in appearance i keep seeing fans saying he continued to mutate but there is like zero evidence of that he just looks totally different for no reason. maybe they will explain it but so far nothing, also much like modern Hulk he just looks to clean the old design actually had some grit to it.
You've never read a single She-Hulk comic. Not one. It's so painfully obvious. So oh no, they STILL won't get your comic book money...just like before...oh noes. Trump is going to jail, btw. LOL.
It feels so good to see Tim Roth as abomination again! I love The Incredible Hulk, it is my favorite MCU film and I’m so happy that it is finally getting the recognition it deserves!
@@ennieminymoo6675straight up. I haven't really payed much attention to marvel since like 2018, I seen that they were making a captain America movie in 2024. With Anthony mackie as the new captain America, ( ok that sounds promising I guess. Better than female CA) then I read Tim Roth was reprising his role as blonsky! I was ecstatic but thought, man I'm gonna be F*CKING PISSED if they turn him into a joke character, then I come to learn he had already been brought back in shang chi, I check out that clip, ah ok not the same as 08 but still alright I guess! I just discovered this clip... Wtf man. Marvel is f*cking trash. Expectations destroyed.
Isn't it comic book canon that Abomination CAN'T transform back? He's bigger and more powerful than baseline Hulk (Until Hulk gets mad) and retains his full intellect, but at the cost of being permanently transformed.
Abomination is one of those unstable line sort of cases....there are a league of factionable anti-weaknesses and consequential imbalance recationable verses of how his form metaforms based not just on his development but his human strength health and his proximation and experience against each hulk type....for example...he is the only known super soldier hulk to not be strengthened by added Radon exposure and underwater his Bone Speed and breathabilit intensifies as well as his ability to drown the cell capacity of likeness powered opponents such as A-bomb(Rick Jones) and Red hulk based on the Ross Team Military X serum componet
When Red Hulk killed him in the comics, it enraged me. Waiting years to see this Abomination again got me infuriated. If he doesn't go back to jail, maybe I'll stop seeing green.
@@rellko3900Couldve already filmed his parts if he shows up later in she-hulk. Or just dont have him show his human form. Always red hulk with someone who sounds like him voicing him.
Y'all are acting upset that he's different, but honestly I'm just happy he's back and Tim Roth is getting more screentime in the MCU. And no, they wouldn't have gotten him back just to ham it up and tell jokes. It's Tim Roth, he's always hiding something.
i LOVE The Abomination. he was always one of my favorite Marvel Characters. and while i like how he has the Fins on the side of his head like he should have to begin with, i hate how they made him basically into a Pussy.
Not just masculinity. They are removing femininity as well. In fact, I'd go as far and write Disney are trying to remove anything that makes the characters human and relatable.
no way hulk and abomination are this weak 😂 Workd war hulk literally destroyed manhattan in a single step yet he’s getting dropped by she hulk and Abomination is literally being contained which is crazy in itself
2008 abomination design was good though, there was no need to change it to it's fishfreak comic accurate design. He was ok with that design in comics but not in MCU. Imagine hawkeye, electro, etc,. in MCU with their comic accurate design. Comment if you also have opinions about it.
This is the use of someone like Jenifer and Matt being a super hero and someone who knows the law. They could keep people like Wong, Strange and other super hero individuals in-check. Love the show.
I love how it’s the same actor for abomination after all this time of having a different actor for hulk. The Edward Norton hulk that abomination fought was a different hulk. Honest I think the MCU made The Hulk and Abomination a little worse.
nah the Edward Norton movie is MCU timeline canon, they just recast the actor - bruce talks about the incredible hulk movie in the first avengers movie
@@cheeseburger7788 I understand canonically it’s the same hulk. I just mean that Edward Nortons Hulk seemed angrier and scarier than when they recast Ruffalo.
Why couldn't they give Abomination his monster voice back? I really hope he can do it on command, otherwise they just made him into discount professor hulk.
