When I was in the military we had this small guy beat every single one of us and some guys even tried using two arms. This was in boot camp, there must have been 80 guys there, most were larger than him. He was some kind of amateur arm wrestling champion. Skill is everything.
Skill AND arm wrestling specific strength. You have to be strong at it, because otherwise, you'll occasionally run into a brick wall of an arm, that doesnt move when you try to pin them. You do need some skill, but its still a LOT of strength involved in the fingers, wrist, riser, supination and pronation, side pressure and back pressure, hammer curl strength, etc. All of that needs to be almost superhumanly strong.
I know hardly anything about this fine sport, but I have watched numerous videos of the best at it. It seems that the winners tend to use their whole torsos, not just their wrists and arms. That’s what this Russian woman does very effectively, I might add….
@@brentlionakaboldchamp Wrong, its 70% technique 30% strength. If you think this girl is stronger than some male power lifter you're a fking iddiot, literally.Ive seen skiny boys beating huge guys,or thor bjornson losing in arm wrestling. This sport is a joke anyways
can confirm. am weak noob gamer but usually beat newbies much bigger. 2 minutes of me explaining what they're doing wrong and they smoke me tho, lol.. if they're listening
They'd have to be an experienced, very, very strong arm wrestler themselves to beat her. Im an arm wrestler....and strong af at it, but i cant beat her, at all. And i"ll crush most untrained guys usually super easy.
@@klefthoofrobert787No, thats not the case at all. Several women have won the pro men's division, on several cases. Female arm wrestlers, just like male arm wrestlers, train to be strong at arm wrestling, and some are REALLY strong at it. Im not close to being able to beat Irina Gladkaya (the chick in this video), and im an aem wrestler myself thats super strong at it.
@@brentlionakaboldchamp What are the names of the pro female arm wrestlers who beat pro male arm wrestlers in competitions? Where is the evidence to back up your claim ? As far as we are concerned, the competitions are segregated between the two genders. Women don’t professionally compete with men. No offence but you are deluded if you believe so.
@@xAmiin Im an arm wrestler myself, but one of the names of one of the females that beat the men's division is Sarah Backman, and she is strong af. A few others did it, as well. Why dont you go to your local arm wrestling club, and arm wrestle females there, some of which are probably amateurs, and they will crush you. I have lost to an amateur female once, because they are strong, and trust me, at arm wrestling, im strong af.
None of those guys could beat her and I couldn't either, but put some strategy to it. Even someone like me understands the leverage factors, still she would toy with me
Irina Gladkaya is a multiple times world champion. Of course someone like Devon would easily beat her, but the point of the video is that if you have good technique and strength you can pull somebody stronger and heavier who has worse technique
I would like to challenge Her I'm 175 lbs man I'm considering myself ok strong I can do about 30 pull up in 1 set in a good day I never got beat by pretty strong women this might be the 1st
You wouldnt be able to beat her, bro. This is a pro female arm wrestler. Not just some strong chick. Of course, you do need to be strong at the specific arm wrestling movements, and she is. Much stronger than the average man. Im an arm wrestler, and dont think i can beat her. An amateur armwrestling girl once pinned me (im an arm wrestler, also) and that chick would get crushed by Irina here. But, the amateur chick (named Elizabeth) has leveled up, and she even went into the pro men's dividion and beat a few of them. Lots of female arm wrestlers are no joke....seen plenty of them beat some pro guys, no problem. Its not just technique, because the pro guys are technical as well, its also a ton of strength involved.
No, arm wrestling also requires technique but not every big arms means strong. There are many arm wrestling champions who don't possess those large, muscular arms
Sure, against a bunch of weak men that have never arm wrestled in their lives it wouldn't be that hard for someone like her with a fair bit of strength and the proper technique.
Im an arm wrestler myself....and i cant beat her, but can most likely beat all of those guys she beat. At arm wrestling....dont think i can tough her yet, because she can crush people that can crush me.
@@user-qz4zp7jv7d 1) It's not a tournament so there are no fouls 2) not in every match. She had a lower grip against the georgian dude (or not georgian but definitely from kavkaz)
No, she isnt. She is a pro arm wrestler. Most people that dont arm wrestle professionally knows next to nothing about whats allowed and whats not. She can beat me, and i`m an arm wrestler myself that also uses his body. Still cant beat her. There is a huge strength element to it.
@@pyrmontbridge4737 These guys are untrained, although she can beat a fair bit of trained guys as well. She is HELLA strong at arm wrestling. Thats what happens when you spend well over a decade training for it.
@@karuonline3294 A fair few pro guys she can pin as well. She has probably been arm wrestling for at least 2 decades, so she developed a TON of arm wrestling strength, on top of specifically training to get stronger at it.
Start training for arm wrestling, and become an arm wrestler. I did it, and met up with plenty of famous pro arm wrestlers. It was awesome. It might take years before you reach that top level, and even then, there may still be MANY people that can easily crush you.
