She humbled the traveler. I love it when traveler isn't protected by plot armor. This means he's not ready and needs to get stronger / regain his lost power. Till now he ALWAYS had some kind of help when defeating the main bosses /gods. Even Raiden almost killed him in a 1v1. Iirc he only soloed childe who was 11th and Signora who was 8th. Scaramouche was 6th and they had to fight him 168 times to gain experience + help of all Sumeru twitch chat. So technically with his current strength, 4th should be unbeatable.
Oh yeah she did. I also like that the Traveler actually lost for once. BUT I do wish we get some sort of reflection and/or training arc and maybe challenge her again. Maybe we meet her again when we find out more about Project Stuzha and fight her again. And yes, it makes sense that he wouldn't be able to defeat no. 4 of the harbingers. Though, I'll still be rooting for him regardless even in the future.
@@ScobraGaming Yes!! I hope the traveler reflects on how much he needs to grow after this and would definitely love a training arc. I don't know about a rematch with Arlecchino but imagine if after the training and regaining some of his lost power, traveler is able to go toe-to-toe against no. 3 all by himself which also indirectly implies that he already surpassed Arlecchino.
The traveler only use the dull sword. Didn't even use any element. Just auto attack. The traveler is holding back to hide their true power from the Fatui intelligence.

Tbh the only ones that we've been shown to be able to beat alone are childe and signora. Everyone else we had the help of an archon or army. Even scara, nahida had to trapped him in like 100 cycles just so we could learn his moves. Also we still had our full strength when we fought the heavnely principles, with our sibling too we still got clapped 😭
note that we "won" against Childe because he was suffering from his transformation effects, we don't know if we would win against him If he did what he did against the whale(he did fight it for weeks or even months as in focalors plan was for him to hold back till the archon's death sentence)
@@LlamaM2288 true but Childe could always be getting stronger by now as he is the talented youngest harbinger and remember that fatui ranking is not by strength, in cn the fatui are ranked by "ability" the word strength or fighting skills is not used there
I think this quest suffered more because they did too much in a sense. I'm not that mad because they didn't give us more lore drops because everything had their own place and this quest was more of a buildup towards the main plot with the project Stuzha and descender stuff included with Khaenriah and that's fine. I can't blame Cyno's first story quest for not having Hermanubis included in the story when it has a definitive role at the 2nd part and they didn't just leave that hanging for no reason. The descnder or skirk talk gets tricky over here because a lot of people don't know that traveller is a descender and talking about it in front of a potential enemy (at that point of the story anyway) is dangerous. They included him mainly because a lot of fans were just left hanging because his health wasn't confirmed and that 1 small talk introduced project Stuzha for the people that didn't watch the 4.6 trailer while they also explored how the harbingers work in different scenarios by talking about regrator and rooster. The first part being about Lyney was kinda necessary because the house of the hearth is a very integral part of Arlecchino and that defined that that even though Arlecchino was a good person subjectively atleast, the children were not leading ideal lives and in some cases that's because of Arlecchino. This was not that Zhongli or Raiden second story quest type that goes into the lore that much but is perfect for building blocks for what is to come. Story quests basically categorise into two or three categories. One would be like Navia or Xianyun where we dive deep into the character themselves and explore their part of the story even though some of the things may not be that relevant or the character may not be that relevant in terms of the greater lore for that time. Second would be obviously the 2nd story quests of the Archons which are filled with a lot of worldbuilding and lore drops and the 3rd category would be buildup like Cyno's first story quest or Tighnari's story quest that do work in a relatively similar manner where you don't get that much lore but it helps in the world building. Now obviously there are some horrendous ones too like Ayato's story quest where we basically do nothing and solve a political issue and don't even explore the character properly. And as you said the Clervie situation paired with the animation short explored Arlecchino's story well in that term. The problem with this story quest in particular is that we didn't get everything that was shown to us in the trailer from the curse to project Stuzha and everything. But I do feel that just going on with that heavy stuff when the character just released and you haven't even interacted with them for a significant amount of time is just bad in general no matter how good the lore is
