Pros bluff way less than you think they do. 80% of the time they play like this they have something to back it up. Only Amateurs think that you'd bluff way more.
@@benw2119 sure but she's likely playing with someone else's money and it's not her last tournament. There's a small percent of the time that she runs into quads, especially compared to other hands. So yes she is beat and without the magic of tv she knows she could be beat but it's not likely
She bluffs so much & gets caught cuz everyone knows she does. Gets pissed,says they play bad when it's her. Retired cuz she can't bluff everyone anymore
it almost impossible to fold this. But on the other hand, this is the WSOP and every hand you're playing for your tournament life. So the way Gale was calling so quickly and later puting her all in so fast, one would think that she'd only commit like that with the absolute nuts.

It's late so I don't wanna type a bunch up but basically it's very hard for worse to call and there can be a bunch that beats you still. You'd just call, if that wasn't implied.

Only (loosely) would A7 be there, and if there it'll be 99.9% be suited... It's tournament poker, pros know playing A/rag off is a good way bleed oneself of chips/life. Edit: different A in Selbst's hand, and suddenly eliminates A7 suited entirely... Makes a fold more justifiable.. When you see Selbst recheck her hand after Bowman's shove.. that's what Selbst was checking...
@preedeelosoponkul993 Because it would be way less likely that the opponent would be calling pre flop with A7 offsuit. The only ace left was Ah so it's more likely that Bowman was holding Ah7h. But if Selbst had the Ah or Ad she could have ruled those out and figured that Bowman did indeed have pocket 77
@@conorm2524 You are right, she even checks her suits during the hand and would have folded if she had the Ah instead of As. Still there's only 1 possible combo Baumann can have and its a stretch to think she would call a raise a7s v ep in the main even if deep.
They look nothing alike which means you probably have Prosopagnosia (face-blindness) and are focusing on the hair alone because you can't memorize and recall unique facial features. To give an analogy: If I draw a circle, an oval and a hexagon and show them to you, you'd say "LOL all these circles look the same, must be related LMAO" and the rest of us wouldn't get why you're saying that.
I feel her pain. Sometimes you know they have it yet. The hand is too good to fold, and this was one of them. Giving me flashbacks to yesterday I turned quad queens against the donkey, possibly drunk better and my Internet connection dropped out just says he went all in… Only a few hundred bucks but that one hurt. And then I folded pocket aces pre-flop as well as queens the same day and the aces wasn't even a connection issue. I just switch hands with my phone and accidentally press the button other than that I love online Poker.
Selbst always seemed like she was trying to prove she was "just as good" as the guys and it led to her busting herself more often than not. She was so aggressive after a while noone took her aggression seriously
I hear what everyone is saying about her folding, but how many people bluff an all in with little chips left with pocket 7s on display. She even said she almost folded, second guessed her self for sure.

thing is there are two hands she beats and there is only one where she loses, ignoring crap like 74 Baumann probably would have folded preflop. From that point of view it's a clear call, however, she said it was the beginning of the main event? you don't win the main event on day 1, therefore it's not a tough fold. there is no shame in getting bluffed out of a pot.
This the ladies event and they play tighter. When she got reraised in the end it's not even 5s and Selbst knows this as she said I guess it could be A7. If it's only quads or A7 it's not -ev.
The way she played the turn and the river, she will always get crushed on this river raise against a pro. She just put her opponent at the top of her range by check-raising the turn. Then she got raised on a overbet on the river, there is absolutlu 0% of bluff, she will only go allin with the nuts.

I was playing the WSOP that year. That was flight day 1C. I just had arrived at my hotel and was eating watching this hand live at the bar. That was disgusting to watch.
