As a former door dash driver, it really is sad to see no tip sometimes lol. I understand there is no obligation to tip, but waiting in a parking lot, going to a restaurant, driving 10 minutes out to a persons location, and leaving the food there in the best condition I could keep it in, only to get no tip is a bit sad. Just my thoughts

I was recently fired from DoorDash for a very similar situation. DoorDash never wanted to actually hear what happened and I have been banned from being a DoorDash driver! That’s how I made my money. I’m scrambling to figure out what to do

People stiff servers and delivery people because they don’t respect the hustle. I truly believe that high school seniors should have to work a restaurant job so they can get an understanding of how hard people in the service industry work and how much we actually do.

I hate this shit cuz I live in an apartment complex and my drivers always have a hard time finding my place (even with directions to get here) and they typically leave my food in front of someone's else's place and since they don't send pictures of anything outside the bag in front of the bottom of the door I NEVER know where they actually end up putting it and I hate feeling like I'm getting them in trouble when reporting never getting my food because I never did, even when I go look for it I never know where to check because there's roughly 150 other apartments with the same exact 1/4 of the door to check and even when checking all of them before someone ended up just scooping up the food someone left at their door. It's super annoying because not only does my food delivery get delivered to the wrong place, so do my Amazon packages or anything I order that isn't small enough to fit in the amazon lockers.

I work for UberEats and this literally happened to me last week, someone reported that they didn’t get the order when I know for a fact they did. I was shocked when I got the notification saying that someone reported they didn’t get their order when I know for a fact they did. I wanted to go back soooo badly and record them like this guy did but I just don’t have the confidence. But man did it make me so angry! I drive for doordash and someone gave me a 20$ tip one time. It was 2 am and I was struggling to find the house in the dark but once I did they understood and gave me the biggest tip I've gotten on dash in 2 years. I appreciate those people to the moon and back!

This just happened to me this week, 2200 deliveries since Covid an almost perfect rating, and one liar gave me a contract violation. She was waiting outside picking up food from multiple apps, so I said “handed to customer” instead of taking a picture and leaving it like normal. Later on I found out why, so there was no evidence I delivered her chick-fil-a. I filed a counter-claim but it’s still on my account (still allowed to dash for now). Thankfully I now have a 9-5 and doordash is my side-gig now, but for many others this could destory their livelyhoods. People suck bad sometimes forreal.

My DoorDash driver actually did steal one of my boba drinks. He lied to me that the store only gave him one drink. I ordered a taro drink and melon drink. It was a really shitty day because my family and I just got home from my daughter being in the hospital. We wanted a relaxing night but instead I had my DoorDasher steal my food. The only thing DoorDash did for me was refund me my money back but what made me so mad is that I didn’t even want my cash back for the item, I was so bothered by the lying and the rude DoorDasher. The store was contacted by myself and DoorDash as well. The store confirmed he had taken the order complete. After confirming he lied and did steal my food and also reviewing his order pick up history. They had seen he was doing this to several customers. He definitely got laid off.

I always tip at my door. Despite adding the tip digitally. Everyone of us has worked in the food service industry at one point or another, most of us may have never made it to a career because going off to do bigger and better things but we would never forget the experience and what it taught. These delivery people are the unsung heroes who were there for us at the worst time ever. They made sure the food was delivered and I made sure that their service was appreciated.

Recently saw a TikTocker who bragged about all the free food they were getting by repeatedly claiming their DoorDash order never arrived - then cried embarrassment when DoorDash thereafter required her to sign for her orders. She wasn't too embarrassed admitting to being a scammer on effing TikTok.

This also happens with Amazon delivery drivers and walkers They get poor on their reports if the customers didn’t like the method of delivery. The customer can put a bad review on the app themselves at anytime they want . Randomly receive a poor review for the week and the issue is out of every customer you delivered too (100+ a week) you’ll never know who it was (for their safety apparently) Sad on the middle man

So low to do that to people we rely on but society says they’re beneath us. Glad she got put on blast.
