Amber made vicious false accusations against Johnny in open court that's why the public and social media snapped back at her. She brought it on herself.

As a woman I personally disagree with Amber saying the verdict was a setback to women. The setback to women came when Amber planted and tampered evidence and lied her way through everything. She is absolutely not an advocate for victims of sexual or domestic violence.

Toxic relationship is one thing. Publishing an Op-Ed to defame the other and pump up yourself is something else. She lied. He didn't. It's libel. This is why you have courts and not conviction by press.

God I hate when people say that they both “abused each other”. Such a bad message. Often in abusive relationships there is an abuser and a victim. The victim can at some point react not do favorably but that doesn’t make them abusive. There is zero evidence that Johnny abused Amber. So many people are just assuming he did because he did drugs.

Heard does NOT represent me as survivor, at ALL. It’s infuriating to have her claim it to be so. SHE made it harder for real victims, not Depp.

As a victim of abuse, I'm elated that Johnny Depp won. They should prosecute her for lying under oath. She's absolutely disgusting.

I wish everyone who watched this trial to learn a lesson: Life is too short to be unhappy. If you have a partner or a friend who is narcissistic, egotistical, gaslightes you, makes you responsible for the bad things he/she has done, abuses you verbally/physically, please get out of that relationship/friendship! I don't agree that people were just on Johnnie's side because they 'like' him. People were on his side because Amber Heard lied continually throughout the whole trail and it was proved, with evidence, that she's a liar. People also listened to her ranting abuse and confessions of hitting him and calling him a baby because he complained about her hitting him. I don't understand why Amber and others would say that the "Me too" movement is negatively effected by this as Johnnie was forced to have to come forward about the physical abuse he suffered from Amber, no matter how embarrassing and humiliated he felt about revealing intimate details of his relationship and life. So many men have come forward since Johnnie did this, to admit that they have been or are being abused and it's giving them the strength to try and stop it. Unfortunately Amber makes real abuse victims have to suffer more scrutiny, which no one in that situation should normally have to suffer....all because she is a lying, publicity seeking, personality disorder....and not a very good actor.

People wanted the truth to prevail, many people were not Johnny's fans, but watching the trial they realized who she really was and took Johnny's side, they went for the truth and it was beautiful to see.

I was 100% expecting him to win. The evidence was overwhelming, and the world knows Karen behavior. Johnny wasn't "very abusive", there was no evidence to indicate that he hurt anybody but himself. By all appearances, his worst behaviors were defensive, people being assholes to each other over text isn't uncommon. The Judge in England had ties to "Sun", he had a conflict of interest and should have self-recused. Amber should be held accountable for perjury.

Why was Heard allowed to continuously lie under oath??? I am sick of people saying they abused each other. In every recording I listened to, she started everything! She sought him out and went after him. Yes, alcohol and drugs affect a person, but, from my experiences, it is the negative personality traits that come forward. If, you do not have an abusive nature without being under the influence, that will not and cannot come out under the influence. It has to be there to begin with and in JD’s case, it was never there. He may have abused kitchen cabinets, or a closet but that is a far cry from punching someone in the face.

I'd followed a lot of this case via a number of different RU-vidrs reactions: lawyers, body language experts (one was a former FBI on the US Channel Law&Crime network ), a British legal psychologist, and British domestic violence relationship professional. All, have found Amber Heard far from credible. She was acting, without knowledge of the human baseline. In other words, her body language did not work with her claims. She did not present as a very insecure victim of DV would: shy, vulnerable, afraid to look at the jury or her abuser. She sobbed without one tear, and her body language flipped from upset to poker face in an instant. Like an actor having to re-do their lines. Not a natural flow of emotion. She set Depp up with TMZ, and her stories got more incredible and contradictory. She got caught slipping up. At one point, admitting to writing the op-ed about JD... Major oops moment. Oh and she also amputated his finger. But that's OK because he is a man 😱. In the UK the media, unlike the US, seem to be a surprised that a' wife beater' has won his trial against an abusive woman! Because only Men abuse women right? If he cut her finger off would that be a different matter! Women can also be perpetrators of DV against men GF's and children. Starr Hobson anyone? This verdict is a positive step to finally send a message to boys who become men, who become fathers and then grandparents who may be brothers, husbands or uncles, that women with bad intentions are accountable. A step to repair and make the future society founded on mutual respect where men and women who go out of line are treated equally.

Well she got $7 million and said she wanted nothing and was going to donate it all. Instead she decided to keep it all and make up heinous false allegations against him. What no one seems to mention is that when you are being abused by your partner the constant put downs, the hits, slaps, punches both verbal and physical take a toll on the person being abused. You DO react, you DO retort in kind! You get upset and angry and say cruel things back. Yes, they both abused alcohol and drugs but that doesn't mean, in all the years JD has had these issues, he NEVER harmed any woman he was in a relationship with. Each of them have come out and said exactly that! He never harmed them. He was never abusive towards them. What is clear is that they, his former partners, were never abusive towards him which would cause him to retaliate, even if it was only verbally!

There is reactive abuse when a victim is pushed too far. I know this for a fact. Drugs and alcohol are a way of self soothing making matters worse. Very happy about the verdict. I don’t think the defense stands a chance on appeal and Elaine may be setting herself up for a defamation lawsuit against her and/or disciplinary action from the Bar.

Every single piece of evidence illustrated that he was possibly abusive to himself, not to her. There were so many recordings of the two of them, both audio and visual, showing him literally leaving every time there was an argument that was starting to spiral. Not a single witness (minus her sister, whose testimony has been called into serious question) could say they saw him get physical with her. She admits on multiple recordings that she gets violent. So no, I don't think they were both abusers here, and frankly I'm really tired of people saying that's the case.

Alcohol and drugs don't change a person as much as being abused by a lying, manipulative, souless person.

Amber does not represent me as a survivor. It makes me upset knowing that she falsified so much information, and events. She should be taken off that board for representing abused woman around the world. So many flaws in her testimonies. I hope her the best and that she gets the much needed mental help and focus on herself rather than Johnny and appealing this case. Not all the evidence was used in the trials before, she's going to end up in jail for perjury if she continues on this path.

I haven't seen a movie of Johnny Depp's in quite some time and I had no idea who she was but here in America it did not take but literally 20 minutes to figure out that there is something wrong with this girl and then when you heard all the tapes and you saw for your own self where she had lied and more than once or twice. This is a wonderful victory for Johnny Depp and real victims of abuse both male and female. As a survivor, I was horrified that she used this weapon. I don’t feel badly for her.

What struck me in all of the audios was Johnny fleeing and Amber pursuing him. No abused person wants to be in the same space as her abuser except Amber. Of course unless Johnny was in fact the abused and that is certainly how the jury saw it.

I was losing faith in court system, but viewing this case for the past month gave me my faith back in justice.

I scoffed when this woman said that both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were being abusive to each other. But I like the fact that she pointed out that Amber had lied multiple times under oath.

AH is a liar. I watched/listened to 99% of this trial. Camille Vasquez helped JD show what a liar AH is through cross examination. JD isn't a perfect person by any means but HE is NOT an abuser. AH made the decision to make up horrendous allegations against JD and was finally shown what a liar she is. I hope she never works again Her behavior is unacceptable.

I think people are forgetting that while Depp may have done things, imagine how an abused animal reacts when it's placed in a corner. One of two things will happen, it'll crawl up into a ball or it will lash out. Depp was that cornered animal and while I don't condone all of that which he did, it is completely understandable why he did it. If the roles were reversed, you wouldn't, for a single second, hold Heard accountabe for her actions cause you'd say, "she was a victim acting out of instinct to her environment". And that's exactly what happened for Depp, he was a victim acting out of instinct to his environment. He was verbally and physically abused well past the point of brokenness. What Heard did was vile and she deserves every ounce of justice that is coming her way.

Why do people continue to let PM LIE? The judge in the UK trial went by Amber's word & refused to let JD provide any evidence. Thank Goodness here in the U.S we do & judged by a jury. If JD didn't insist on the trial being televised, people would still be calling him a wife beater.

We saw our abusers in Amber Heard and ourselves in Johnny Depp. Simple as that. I can't imagine any filmmakers accepting the risk of hiring Amber Heard. What insurance company would insure her? What actor wants to work with her? She's done. Amber also wanted to be the face of domestic abuse. She is now the abuser. Why would anyone use her as a spokesperson for anything?

AH was an unstable woman, abuser, and stalker. It's amazing how people are so quick to claim toxic relationship instead of toxic participant. JD was AH's victim. Sad but true.

For Heard to come back from this she would have to look deep within and do some serious soul searching and aplogise for her actions. Sadly I don't think she is capable of that and so I can't see she will come back from this.
