Randomly got recommended this video, love how kind you are about the mom. A lot of people who make content about mlms and stuff will only make fun, and I get it, but there are also just vulnerable people desperate to make ends meet and they deserve sympathy and support.

What her mom is going through isn’t to be totally disregarded, even though it may not be coming from a viable source complex PTSD is tied to a lot of things from cancer to diabetes to learning disabilities because it directly impacts the nervous system so trauma can cause things in the body there are lots of medical doctors out there that will state that the brain is not immune to being abused the same way that you can drink yourself and not expect to get liver disease. So I think everybody needs to humble themselves a little bit because they’re also not in the field of study in order to make these broad statements like they know .
EMDR therapy is the only modality that helped me heal my trauma, and very quickly. I worked with two practitioners who both had Ph.D's in psychotherapy. This is coming from someone who pushed for 17 years to heal childhood PTSD. This modality finally got me healed so so well. So no, you can't likely be an effective practitioner after a month-long certification program.
Unfortunately not everyone responds to emdr. With my therapists we have noticed that I was highly resistant to things like hypnosis and EMDR. It just does not work for me and I was bummed because people keep saying how amazing it is and it literally did nothing for me. 😔
I feel bad for the writer and I get that she has sympathy because it's her mother but if one of my family members ever tried to imply, even in a "compassionate genuine" way, for even a SECOND, that my severe vision disability I was BORN WITH is in any way even REMOTELY my fault for "manifesting" it They're not my family member anymore. They are dead. I have cut out "family" members for doing similar things... Implying I just need to "learn" to see better, or after I wasn't able to read a sign, them saying I need to learn to cope or I'll be a loser for life. Exit my life. I lost my patience when I heard the 6 year old boy got leukemia, and knowing the fact that this woman genuinely thinks her 6 year old son did something to "manifest" (aka DESERVE) leukemia. Disgusting. I get she's a victim of a cult and that's unfortunate, but what a despicable mentality to adopt. Those poor kids.
I can agree with this. When my wife was in the MLM chaos before the fog lifted, she would believe those "mentors" over me. I was flabbergasted. And hurt. I would ask her "why would I lie? If this was legit or even real then I would support you! I want you to retire me too!" Now that she's out and sees it all, she has apologized. But, it's wild to me that strangers can take hold of someone's mind. Videos like these are so important.
No offence to anyone but a lot of scammers also definitely know their target market/certain cultures,and a lot of them English is their second language and some cultures don’t trust “westerners “!
