The irony that she wanted to become a famous serial killer, but Germany’s strict identity protection laws mean we don’t even know her real name… poetic
This case is extreme example but to be honest when you see how "court of public" (especially in USA) can totally lynch you if you are just suspect I am glad for our identity protection laws (I am czech but our protection laws are similar).
@@mariefryzelkova7927h yeah, it’s pretty insane how some ppl take a suspects name and run with it, in some cases doing irreparable damage to the person only for them to not even be guilty. court of public opinion can do lots of harm sometimes!
So..to be clear...you can show her image, tell us where she was born, her medical diagnosis and pretty much give away everything about her and her past, but you can't reveal her name? I'm not gonna do it, but I doubt it would be challenging to find her name on the internet. It took about 20 minutes after Ryan Giggs asked for a super-injunction where his name couldn't be published by the press in a legal incident before his name was publicly known by everyone in the UK. I'm sure the German authorities have the best intentions with their privacy laws but privacy laws are pretty much irrelevant in the internet age.
There are different Methods for keeping people locked up if they pose a threat to society in Germany. Depending on your situation you might never get out, unless a psychiatric exam clears you. I'm not exactly sure what the specific situation is in this case.
She was convicted under the juvenile criminal law, which could have given her a maximum sentence of 10 years, but since the "particular gravity of the guilt" was determined due to her lack of empathy, she received 12 years. In addition, preventative detention was imposed -> she needs a psychiatric exam in order to get free
What gave you that opinion that she would reoffend. I mean apart from the fact she said it be sad if she went to prison without getting to kill someone. I mean apart from the fact she said she would, how did you Sherlock Holmes that 🤣🤣
As someone who lives with BPD, thank you for validating us by saying millions of us suffer with this and most of us would not do what she did. There is so much misconception about this mental illness when cases like this do pop up, so it's refreshing to hear that we are not alone and we are not all monsters.
@@34turnerjason yes I understand that, but my point is it's refreshing to hear a true crime researcher say that not everyone with BPD has murderous intentions like this case. Lots of misconception that we are all wired the exact same. Obviously it's a mental illness and not a good thing to have to live with, but it's something we have to do.
@@ScottishScot yes you're right. I didn't mean for it to come off that way but I just think that more true crime researchers need to be less dismissive of the mental illness since so many people live with it.
I'm from Nürnberg and I have never heard of this horrible case before 😳. I think she should be locked away for life, because I suppose she'll be looking for her next victim once out of prison. Anyway, thanks for your good work, Adrian. This is my favourite true crime channel.
In germany this is pretty normal, that even murderers get sentences like this. For example Suleiman A, who killed a doctor with 20 stabbings in 2018 will be free soon. Only if you are very dangerous and are a repeated offender you can get something called "sicherheitsverwahrung" which is like a life sentence with parole.
@@TR-707 i agree with you. Maybe that is the reason of the exploding stabbings and brutal homicides here. As everybody knows, especially previous offenders wich are used to this lifestyle, that you will come free again, even if you kill your opponent.
As a German it's sad that i rarely hear about such cases that happen in my homeland, especially as someone who deliveres newspapers out i still get barely exposure to murder/crime cases.
I agree! Fellow german here. I was so surprised when I heard about this because I never heard about it until now and I usually read the newspaper to catch up on things that happened. I can understand that it's a special case since she only was 18 at the time and we both know our law here so yeah. Most german cases I found out about were on the internet.
@Knowledge Is Contagious Pass It Around why does this matter? I’m not trying to be rude lol I just don’t understand why this matters in the context of what both commenters said.
Almost 40 trying to sleep with a teenager ... not exactly an angel ... but still didn't deserve what happened. Sarah will kill again if she is let out ... she doesn't have a soul.
Yep! He didn't deserve what happened but oh well....if almost middle aged men would think with their brain instead of their 🍆 and stay away from teenagers .
This will always be my favorite crime channel. Your well-researched, relaxed and respectful (esp to the victims) narration is what makes watching your stories so worthwhile. Thanks, Adrian!
I’ve been with your channel for awhile now and I can’t seem to get enough. You have only been here since Dec 2020 and look how much you have grown ! Congratulations Adrian
Adrian, welcome back! I just want to appreciate you and your work. In my humble opinion, you do the best work on reporting chrime stories. All the way from content, execution, never "going on" too much, or too little 🙏, to having a very pleasant demeanor and voice. I'm a big fan, so THANK YOU.
It IS BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that the individual IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND there is ABSOLUTELY NO doubt that she WOULD go on to commit more murders given the chance!!! Therefore, she MUST remain locked up for the REST OF HER LIFE!!!!!!!
Adrian you do a wonderful job with all of your episodes! Caring and concise. I can only imagine that these stories and the effort you put into them takes a heavy toll on your spirits and mental wellbeing. PLEASE take care and look after yourself.
I’ve been a fan of true crime channels for years, and it’s amazing how quick Adrian has become my absolute fave along with Mike. Keep it up, you are awesome!
You may feel jet lag, but your puns and humor is spot on 😂. I sure didn’t notice an abruptness our definition of abruptness must be vastly different 😂. All I noticed was a great presentation, as always. Catch up on your sleep 😴, and thank you for still posting.
Seriously, with all you do in your videos and the effort you put into it. I have extra respect and appreciation since knowing you're a one-man show. Not an easy task. Thank you for quality content and professionalism
I live in Erlangen what is really close to Forchheim. It feels like yesterday when all of this happens and the puplic got notice. Its really sad and horrific what a human can do :(
I hate victim blaming but honestly in this case he kinda had it coming, first of all he was an almost 40 y/o dude who wanted to hook up with an presumably 18 y/o girl and while not illegal, is certainly fucking weird. And secondly like mentioned in the Video he fell for very obvious bait why would he even think she had interest in a man like him. And third and most importantly, if you dont know someone dont agree to meet up in a fucking shed in the woods at night.
While I hate her for being a killer, I do not hold any sympathy for the man. He was a fucking creep. There's no reason for a almost 40-year-old (Old enough to be her father) to meet a just-turned-legal teenager (eightTEEN) for sex. Those types of men generally do turn out pedophiliac/abusive because those are the reasons they always go for much-younger women. Its disturbing and while I am sad for his family, I am not sad for him.
@@pentagrin4157 The worst thing is he belongs to a religion that forbids having sex out of marriage, if he is such a nice person or was, he shouldn't even be doing these things.
@@pentagrin4157 They were both consenting adults and unless you know something we don’t, there’s no evidence that he was a pedophile. That’s straight up victim blaming. He didn’t abduct her, beat her,, kidnap her, or force her into anything.
@@dankishrogue5711 Yep, red flags all around. He may not have deserved to die but I genuinely cannot feel any sadness over his fate because of those reasons.
Thank you very much for the compassion, empathy, and respectful consideration you show in all your vidoes. To me, this is a mark of a genuinely good human. You consistently demonstrate an admirable level of understanding for human nature, and that it's far more complex and intricate than many people seem to realize. It's refreshing to see, especially on RU-vid.
as someone who struggles with BPD, Initially i was apprehensive at the mention of BPD because us with it are so heavily stigmatized by people that have 0 understanding of what BPD is actually like. Thank you for not doing that, and making a point to articulate it's very rare/unusual for us with BPD to have a desire to harm others. It's a mental illness that typically stems from childhood trauma and abandonment issues; we just want to be loved as much as we love. There are also different sub-types of BPD; and generally our actions are out of a desperation to avoid abandonment. It is also very common for those with BPD to be impulsive in all regards, such as hook ups on a whim. It's far far far more common that those with BPD end their own life rather than someone else's, statistically speaking. love your vids, & thank you for steering away from throwing those of us with BPD in the box of stigma
I'm not entirely convinced that they diagnosed her accurately from what I've learned about BPD. BPD sufferers often say they feel everything. She doesn't sound like she feels much if she's thrill seeking. Or am I wrong?
@quatzxice BPD sufferers are often known to seek thrills and engage in reckless behaviour. I don't have that symptom, but it is common. I don't know how accurate her diagnosis is.
@@ZoeAlleyne I suppose thrill-seeking makes sense for filling the void when you don't have a concrete self identity actually. Or as a form of escapism when emotions are too overwhelming. Hope you're doing well tho!
@quatzxice Yeah, the instability can be fed by more instability. Luckily for me I manage to boil it down to just being reckless with money, which just means buying more frivolous, cheap things that I don't need, but I have no debt and pay all my bills so I don't mind too much. But a lot of abuse is cyclical and we tend to seek out familiar dynamics. A lot of us come from abusive homes and we seek out that same kind of abuse in our relationships and the way we navigate the world because...well, it is what we know. Of course, all mileage may vary. A Borderline is a person first and a disorder second and all people are multifaceted. So some Borderlines might have extreme behaviours in one area where other's show little. I am doing well, BPD wise, considering my mother has been living with me for the last 3 months and sharing a space with her is deeply difficult for me :P Thank you for your open curiosity and your empathy. Both are wonderful traits.
I don't know if you've reaf it but you should get the book walking on eggshells. My shrink told me to get it when he diagnosed me. It's really for family members of somebody that has b p d but I found it really eye opening and figured out I was misdiagnosed.
Adrian, the amount of hard work, effort, respect, and compassion (for those who deserve it) doesn't go unnoticed! Always know it's going to be a top-tier video when you upload!
another great video Adrian, and team! also coffeehouse crime has got to have one of the nicest communities on youtube, even though we talk about and listen to dark things, there's always positivity and love in the comments. proud to be a part of it. ❤
You are always so respectful when talking about the mental health of the individuals in these cases. It is so refreshing to see someone describe BPD in a respectful manner
@@carlholland3819 it’s important to not villainize every person with mental illnesses. yes, she is a murderer with BPD and we should not minimize her crime but, you’d be surprised at the amount of people who think all people who struggle with BPD are dangerous and violent to themselves and others. Coffeehouse Crime was able to discuss her BPD without blaming her crime on it which is not something I see often as someone with BPD. thanks for the sarcasm tho
Adrian, congratulations on becoming an Australian permanent resident. It's a magnificent place to call home and I think most people will agree that Melbourne is the coffee capital of the world so I have no doubt you'll enjoy that!
Thank you SO much for distinguishing between BPD and BD. I see people using BPD as an abbreviation for bipolar and it drives me nuts as someone with the latter condition. They have markedly differences in symptoms.
She said she wanted to watch someone die - yet fled in terror once the deed was done - she is a poor shadow of those serial killers of whom she idolized
This is terrible to be sure. I am nit picking, but shouldn’t 38 years old men Not troll the Internet for 18 year olds? Even had nothing happened like the Stabbing, she stated she was a virgin and barely legal. Poor decision for so many reasons. He be alive had he chosen more appropriately.
As an Australian, i thoroughly enjoyed your instagram stories from your trip :) it was great seeing you enjoying this country i call home :) great video as always too :)
Thank you so much for mentioning that people with BPD generally aren’t monsters, it’s such a stigmatising condition and unfortunately we’re brought up often in true crime cases and generally very misunderstood. Continue the good work, your videos are brilliant and so full of compassion. Also Nero is the cutest!
What I do not understand is: why would "such a nice, kind man" search for an unknown female on the internet with the question: "are you the devils daughter?" and then, after she confirms this, lets himself be taken to some lonely "shed"? (A tripple NO GO for any sane woman!) Are men in general so used to not having to be afraid of women, that he would willingly expose himself to all the risc's of such a situation? As for her and her delusioned alures and attitudes, I hope she rott's behind bars for the rest of her life!
Wow! When you started saying what BDSM means, all I can say is you're a d*mn Boss! You definitely do your homework! Even if it's the smallest thing that really isn't important, you still explain and give us the perfect explanation like you always do! Please keep bringing us us these great true crime videos. No one but you can tell us about these true crime stories. You're definitely an amazing storyteller of true crime stories! Plus, your voice makes me consider your videos are also ASMR! Keep up the great work!😊
Damn I'm shocked she got 12 years. In Germany, there's something called "Jungendstrafrecht," which basically means that people between the ages of 18-21 are given very light sentences. There's no exception for violent crimes and it's totally normal for young adults to get off with probation or a couple years for things like SA and murder. In Germany, giving people unlimited second chances is more important than justice for the victims/their family.
Without reference to this case, perhaps it makes some sense as the part of a person's brain responsible for analyzing their actions only develops by the age of 21.
Such a tragic and twisted crime. 'Sara'....so sick. It's truly terrifying how much evil exists in our world and society. Many of us grew up when an argument 'if it got physical' was dealt with by ones fists and not even a jackknife. Now, the aspect of psychotic people getting younger and younger is beyond alarming. I mean....she's posting the 'Night Stalker' Richard Ramirez thank God he's dead.....and her friends aren't perturbed by that? Too many of today's youth are desensitized and out of touch with the reality of what's going on. To some it's no biggie, no big 'whoop'.....to us in our time a kid getting attacked by a dog was a huge deal. The lack of sensitivity chips and empathy....the explosion of apathy....is out of control. I hope this little witch rots, I have no empathy for murderers and those who 'worship' serial killers. May Syed rest in Peace, prayers to his family. Thank gosh this little demon seed was caught, otherwise the thought of how many she would have tried to murder is scary.
"He desire to find a wife this year" but being 40 & hooking up with an 18 year old in a shed in the woods? Isolated without anyone to hear or help. .... hm. If she didn't do anything to him... what WOULD have happened in that shed? That's a REALLY shady situation in itself. Even though shes barely a "legal" adult in America.. that whole situation looks messed up on his end. I honestly wonder if he had any dark intentions on his end. (Maybe not murder at all but SA? Being tied up, Held captive, Tortured?) That whole situation he readily agreed to is SHADY. It would have made anyone nervous and the fact that it didn't make him nervous is suspicious.
Are you really victim blaming the man just for going along in a shed the girl choose also 18 is legal in America not barley and I'm sick of people like you always demonetizing a man for being older she was 18 years old enough in many countries as an adult and she's the one who brought him to the shed and killed him not the other way round just because she's a woman doesn't maker her a damn victim,
Sometiems I have to take a break from enjoying true crime and channels like this one and Mr Ballen cus I’m afraid this could somehow trigger some shit in my brain, as ridiculous as it sounds. Atleast that’s how I know I’m not a psychopath/sociopath, otherwise I wouldn’t be concerned at all. To clarify, I don’t got no infatuation for no killers, creeps or psychos, I just have an infatuation for true crime, the dark and mysterious.
Personally, I don't think that Sarah M. should ever get out of prison. She shows no remorse, won't attend her sessions, so I think she is a threat to society and would most likely kill again. Thank you, Adrian for Coffeehouse Crime. You never disappoint!
Does anyone else press the like button before you have even watched the video cos you just know it's gunna be brill!? I subscribed yesterday and have binge watched about 50 videos already absolutely love u Adrian and every video I've watched ❤️❤️ And also am a massive fan of coffee! ☕ X
BPD is nothing to laugh at either. I have lived with it my entire 33 year life with almost no help or medication until recently. I have destroyed relationships and careers alike because of the intense rage that I got with my episodes. I’m more headstrong and very often can control my actions, but I am still very much at the mercy of my emotions. I’m not making excuses for her horrible actions, but knowing that mental illness very well, she needed help
Try therapy. I hear CBT is good, I had schema therapy. Very helpful. Surprisingly finding out and drilling into WHY I feel so angry really helps me get a hold of it. Because I can ask myself questions and eliviate that unstable, uncertain feeling that makes me angry in the first place.
No one is talking about a 39 year old trying to have sex with a 18 year old?? Thats predator behavior! Dont get me wrong, Sarah is pathetic and the sentence is just stupid. However I cant feel ANY empathy for her victim, dude was a predator!
You are clearly victim blaming just because he's a man. A lot of things you said about him are totally lies. Don't you realise you'd say the same thing to other men in the same position as him. They'd kill themselves because of your shit lies. You wouldn't say the same them to a female victim, right?
@@cinissanguis6836 She's still a killer, and she's already 18 which is an adult age in germany, not a minor, and who cares if a man dated a women younger than him as long its consensual and no minor involved
I don't like to victim blame, but can we just acknowledge that the victim in this case was a 39 year old man looking for kinky, BDSM sex in a shed in the woods with an 18 year old girl? It's not like she was 16,but that age gap should make any reasonable man pause with disgust, right? It's hard to feel sorry for a man with that kind of goal on his mind, who would have been searching for young women to do all these things with. I'm no prude. It's honestly the age gap though. Super creepy and gives me all sorts of dodgy feelings about this guy
They think it's normal because they get older, but the women on the "barely legal" section stay the same age. We're all supposed to be sex positive and look past how freaking weird it is for grown men to want to have degrading sex with little girls who are Just old enough not to send them to jail. 🤮
I'm 95% sure she'll do it again, specially when she now knew that the punishment she got was miniscule compared to the rush she'd experienced when taking someone's life. AND she doesn't go to therapy.
I have to admit that it is a little weird that a 39 year old is going to meet an 18 year old who he believes is a virgin. I'm not taking away from the murder but if there was no murder, a lot of people would have a problem with him going and meeting someone who is barely an adult.
No one deserves to get murdered like that though, regardless of his choices he still deserved to live. Your lack of empathy for this man is horrific. Shame on you.
Thank you for not demonizing BPD not all of us are vicious people who hurt and kill people some of us only hurt ourselves and just have trouble controlling our extreme emotions, alot of people are scared of people with bpd because yeah some people with the diagnosis turn into monsters but not everyone does, my bpd effects my emotions not my morality i still know right from wrong regardless of how i feel, so thank you for not demonizing the diagnosis like so many people do
As always, Coffeehouse Crime's ☕️ presentations of strange individuals are excellent! Thank you. Es ist furrückt! It's crazy. The bit of German I remember from high school! Not just the sentencing, but darkness of it!
No one deserves to die like Zayed-but a 39 yo going to meet a “bisexual virgin (and obviously very young stranger) for BDSM in a shed?” Soooo messed up 🫠
I guess the thousands of other stories on here of women getting killed by one night stands, for BDSM, prostitutes or even going and marrying their future killers 😂. Hilarious, guess most of these women just walked into it as well. Victim blaming is fun tbh.
countless people I know with BPD make me seriously uncomfortable or unsafe with their behaviour and this is literally why... Crazy people like this. I cant say ive ever met anyone with BPD that DIDNT come across as mentally dangerous because of the way they view things and morally see reality.
Terrible that she got away with so little consequences. Especially at her age, she'll have plenty of time and opportunities to re-offend. It's not just women who have to be careful about who they meet up with for dates, men can also be the victims of "dating violence" and everyone needs to protect oneself
Of course she has a “calm” nature behind bars. Cowards like her are never going to fight or attempt anything violent to someone who will likely return the favor.
congrats on your new home in Australia!! amazing video as always, go get some much needed rest!! i have a couple thoughts why would anytime believe that an 18 yo vorgin is into BDSM and why would she want to give her virginity to a stranger...red flag that a 39 yo person should know was a front. now why is a 39 yo man going after an 18yo in the first place? if what his family said was true and he was moving back at the end of the year to look for a wife and start a family then his plans with this psyco was just to screw what he thought was young virgin and ditch her.
Hey Adrian thanks for another great video!! Glad you got to move to Australia🤗 as we all know how much you love the scenery! 🥳 Congratulations 👏🏼 keep doing what you do!
The fact that despite being 18, regardless of her BPD or not, she still knew what she was doing and should've been held more accountable with a bit of a longer sentence. Though if she's unaffected by what she's done, I think she's making her sentence longer by not going to court mandated therapy (according to the comments) and won't be getting out any time soon. So in a weird way she did get held accountable, even if it falls flat or feels lacking in severity.
I love Australia I try to go every chance I get to visit my family. They live in Queensland hervey Bay. The jet lag going there for me is the worst trying to stay up till their bedtime. But coming back to the States I'm up all night to in laundry anything else I would do during the daytime normally LOL. I hope you had a wonderful time :-) I love your Channel!
This girl is despicable, but this dude was trying to sleep with a teenager. That's really gross. I would not call him innocent in any way but he didn't deserve to be stabbed, just in prison. That little demon girl though, lock her up throw away the keys!
Bdsm ≠ Sex You actually can be into bdsm without having Sex I'm in a bdsm association, most of our submissives are taken in vanilla relationships and have doms who they play with but don't have Sex with Not saying she isn't lying, just saying that it is possible to be this way for others Always Love your videos !
wow I’m a bit shocked that she only got 12 years in prison. I can only hope that she will get preventive detention after the 12 years and never get to be free again. Honestly, I don’t get our soft punishment often times, especially, when someone like her hasn’t shown any remorse or emotion during trial.
As a way to stop the confusion between borderline and bipolar disorder, its is now known as E.U.P.D (emotionally unstable personality disorder) as someone who is suffering with this disorder I hate this, It makes it sounds worse than borderline personality disorder
Almost everyone below the age of 40 now comes with a mental disorder. Should we really going to continue to let them use that in court, especially for cases such as this?
nobody lets people "use that in court", to be declared as mentally insane you don't have to be aware of your actions. It's pretty rare that this really is the case. Even if it's the case you usually get an equal amount of time and most likely preventive custody afterwards.
You do realize people over 40 also have mental disorders at the same rate but are undiagnosed at higher rates DUE TO STIGMA. Mental disorders are rarely used as excuses, at least successful ones, in most countries.
"She once asked me for my opinion on Jack the Ripper and that she thinks he was actually a woman and was therefore never caught". When she got caught 30 minutes later....she's cute.🥲
Just for future reference, if a woman is super willing to have sex with you as a stranger, and then recommends a shed in the woods where no one will know you are “having sex”…..its probably not what you think it is.
Anytime a dude asks to go hiking on the first few dates makes me super anxious and I usually cancel and don’t bother again. A woman would definitely not respond well to sex in a shed in the woods, but I can see why this dude was down. She’s got that Satan worshipping vibe and he thought he was playing in her kink.
He was a 40 year old man and if unto that surely could have paid for a safe experience- have to wonder why she is so cold 🥶- although doesn’t take much imagination?
Look, I get it, we've all wanted to lose ourselves in a night of passion with someone... but if you've never met them before and they're inviting you out to a shed in the woods... please don't do it.
Right? I'm sorry for the guy and his family of course however if you get invited to the woods by a stranger chances are you would get robbed, beaten or killed or all of it.
Women will NEVER understand how incredibly hard it is for men not to think with their dicks when they are extremely horny. I once slept with a woman so trashy that my attitude was, "I'll probably get AIDS from this, even with a condom. Oh well." Not QUITE as suicidal, but...
Would be interesting to ask her would she still be thrilled and fascinated by those serial killers the last minutes of her life being strangled by any of them.
