As Christians, we definitely need to change our mindsets about wealth. God promised that he came for us to have life more abundant! Not just money but also our health our well-being and in relationships. If all of us Christians are in debt or surviving, how are we going to help? How are we going to send out missionaries? How are we going to support missionaries? How are we going to help church plants? We can't depend on the government! How disarmed the government will be when christians rise up and take their place!
I'm so pleased that I stayed to the end. I like that she is not set to be a millionaire or something like that. She just wants to do God's will. Kudos on her journey and the book.

Me and her have a similar story. I’m 45. Even down to the 2018 break up. I’m so happy for her. It’s so true that it’s not just about the debt. It’s the whole person. I’m saying this as a therapist.
came here from the Dave Ramzi show, and I love this. I can see in this deep conversation how . As a woman, I can identify with her in so many ways. I also need the security of emergency found. I took some of the savings and payed a very High interest loan, and at the same time pays off small debts, pays cash, Planning a budget Every week, I know where my money is going, and for what.

I love this for this reason. Sometimes in life we can feel like we're losing because we haven't achieved somethin by a certain age but it just a number and it's possible with faith and the effort to get out of debt
Debt free is great! I understand it, not saying to go deep in debt either, we also don’t want to minimize the importance of the relationships that are built when one goes to college on campus both from a professional and personal perspective.
I can definitely relate to her about making sure she had at least $20K. This too makes me feel safe. $1000-$5000 is nothing for an emergency fund living in a city like NYC. Not feeling relief after paying off debt made me look over my shoulders like I was waiting for it to come back. Very uncomfortable
I’m like her as in I’m “Dave-ish”. I know myself & know that I absolutely cannot have only 1K in my emergency fund so I’m simultaneously contributing a little to my emergency fund monthly, getting the match on my 401K, and I’m paying off huge chunks of debt monthly. This way may take me 6 months to a year longer to be debt free but it works for me. We don’t have to follow any one plan to a T but instead create a plan for ourselves from the foundations of others. I’m using the snowball method to attack debt from smallest to largest. At some point I may switch to the avalanche method, whatever works for me!
Another necessary episode! Talk about focus, consistency, and not allowing distractions to get her off track! I’m a nurse on my debt free journey too. Definitely taking notes to get this accomplished ahead of my timeframe!

Excellent!!! These principles can also be applied to weight loss...look at what is "eating" you work/stress/finances. Write down goals...evaluate portions & eliminate unhealthy processed foods.

That's the problem with a lot if women, too concern about looks, going out, partying You got plenty of times for ALL that, but first try to get rid of your debt and establish a plan for living a better life, a debt FREE life, a life with less stress, etc She's doing great
I feel the same way about my student loans😭 I went to a private law school and paid a hefty price. Can’t wait to put that “human” down. It does feel like carrying someone on your neck for real.

This is the part about paying off my debt that makes me sick. By the time i pay it all off and say, i paid off $100k in debt, i think, wait i could gave had 100k saved instead😭. All of my debt is in student loans, btw. That's the part that messes me up...that's the part that makes me hesitant.

This lady is a lot like me except I went to college off and on between 18-22. I finally got my ish together at 31 and toughed out that last year. My BS degree came in the mail 12 months later a few weeks before Christmas. My health has declined over the years, so I’ve had to draw Disability here and there While racking up debt. My ultimate goal is to be over and done with government assistance For Good. This means filing in a different tax bracket by April 1, 2024. I’m brainstorming everyday like a madwoman and overexerting myself trying to get this business off the ground YET AGAIN. This time I have better guidance. But I’m just as determined as Kira. I’ve failed and fallen ENOUGH. Totally sick of the rat race and there is NO going back to a W-2 job. It’s strategy and execution at this point. Also like this lady, I’m 45 and unmarried with no kids. BUT a man is thee last thing on my mind and God knows the last thing I want is children. That’s never happening either. Lol I’m business focused and that’s all I want. Just to feel accomplished and not like a Total failure for once. Hell, I’ll be 50 in 4 years. I don’t want being somebody’s bed wench to be my crowning achievement. I want to walk in my REAL purpose. Survival mode is a bi*#% You’re right, Anthony. That’s all many of us know. I take meds for anxiety disorder. So yeah, getting off this hamster wheel and one day FINALLY thriving is where I’m hyper focused at right now. Some Boaz delusion would be nothing but a distraction. It’s crunch time. I’m more focused than ever right now. And begging God almost daily to keep me sane. Therapy is my maintenance tool. I swear I’m claiming a testimony.

As a Christian I cringe when Christians say such and such is “hard” ..decision making is not “hard” when we seek the LIFE CREATOR..we will not and don’t want to seek GOD because he may not say what we want to hear…NOTE TO SELF…what GOD says will be right and tight when we do what he says….make a decision ..be a doer of the word not just a hearer
