Even after losing all his memories he still ruthless and cruel. It’s his nature! And the fact that the writer even had the nerve to make it seems like she still had some type of love in her heart for him was just absurd!!!

No matter how many times i've watched this , i always cry soo much . Even the Guard in tears shows how he knows how bad Li Chengyi is .The actress did such a great job showcasing despair and pain . her screaming cries hurt soo much . Li Chengyin was really a monster , she deserved soo much better.

He’s so toxic towards her.. The FL was so pure, innocent and optimistic but he traumatized her by taking away everyone she cared for. He took away her family, her teacher/friend, and specially the love she had for “Gu XiaoWu”. He became a monster in her eyes and that’s what makes it so hard for her to forgive him..

Even in death Gu Jian still smiles up to Xiaofeng trying to reassure her that this is what he wanted and that she is in no way to blame. He protected Adu because she is precious to Xiaofeng 😭😭😭 while I also sympathize with Li Chengyin's inner turmoil with having to kill for political reasons this is one death he cannot justify. His jealousy is so immense he killed Gu Jian for purely selfish reasons.

Love isn't giving pain and see your lover in misery. He never actually loved her ....it was his biggest mistake to think that he could win her but she left him in the end.

Gu Jian still look very handsome with a smile of dying. Peng Xiao Ran deserved her best actress award for her great 👍 performance in this drama…

I think I cried the most in this scene. So sad. So sad. The cruelty and jealousy at max level. Even to the end, GJ still only thought of XF and sacrificed himself to protect Adu because he didn’t want XF to be alone. XF and GJ had one last chance to express their affection as she put on the hairpin before he died and how XF held his hand .... oh, my heart.

To be honest this movie taught us a great lesson, first, never trust too much because of love! At first, she was the young innocent princess who just wants to live with an average man (Her teacher to be precise) but the table turned even her teacher wasn't fully part of the plan, He changed just for her. He did everything he could to take her away. He would have been a perfect husband. He understands her the most. Li Chengyi is so ruthless. You guys are just saying he is jealous, he has been ruthless from the beginning that he could kill her grandfather with his own sword, like what the fu****? How bold is he, a mesmerizing clap for him, if he lost his memory and is still like this with a killer instinct, honestly he is a beast and doesn't deserve her forgiveness nor her love neither her body!. How dare he hurt her once more!? What a Toxic man! Oh no if you haven't watched the whole movie please do not be biased! He is a monster! His character is shallow, even after loosing his memory the next thing that can come to his mind just because he is jealous is to kill! Kill! Kill! Must he kill! if he was given a chance to kill A'du maybe he might. But then kudos to the entire crew❤ they brought out the real characters, emotions and music.

Li chengyin kinda break xiaofeng over and over in here. Those two were like her only companions from xi state in plain central, and now xiaofeng had to see them killed in front of her eyes like her grandfather and danchi people. As much as I love xiaofeng and li chengyin to be together, they can't after all he had done to her family members, people, and friends

She is a great actress. She brought out her character's grief like a master. I felt the pain and grief.👏🏽👏🏽

To be honest I just wish she left the prince and went to live happily with the one who tried to give her happiness. The prince would be alone forever that is what he deserves.. This is not love

For all of the romantics out there... this is not love! LCY was a different kind of cruel even before this, but this was the arrow in her heart! GJ was the only one who truly loved her..

It’s been about 2 years since this drama aired and watching this scene again still amazes me! Unpopular opinion but I really wanted her to be with Gu Jian, their chemistry is 💯! When I saw episode 1 of their first scene together (when she fell off the horse and he had to save her and then gave her piggy back ride on the way home) I thought he would be the main lead because their chemistry was just that good. Sure, I agree that they both did her terribly wrong but honestly Gu Jian truly loved her for her, not because she’s a princess or because of power struggle. He loves her because she’s Xiao Feng. I like that the flash back shows that.

To me this remains as one of my favorite Chinese dramas..the emotional strain and break it gave me made me want to look for a good Chinese drama to soothe my torn heart and that's when I landed the untamed. It introduced me to Chinese dramas but for sure I ended up in a rollercoaster of all emotions. I've never seen a cruel character like Li Chengyin in all of my watching of Chinese dramas... His methods of loving someone rank first in the villain billboard charts of cruelty. In the first episodes I rooted for him but the twist came and OMG I began having a love-hate relationship with him since in the first place he was manipulated but later on he just decided to be a villain of his own making. Damn!! For anyone with a soft heart and mentality don't watch this...it will make you addicted only to kill your heart in one blow. Though that was the perfect ending.

I hope she loved GJ even a little bit. He tried to make her watch. How cruel. If he really loved her he would have let her choose to follow her lover. The irony is that he was the one she loved all along and his cruelty damaged her love for him.

I cried soooo much. My heart can't take it. I got headache due to over crying. Just this clip. I didn't even know the whole story.

First of all, apart from XF, I’d hate to be General Pei Zhao. Like man knows everything. He does. But he can only stand there and watch his friend die and XF go through this trauma all over again part 3 like I would’ve spilled everything to LCY like stop my guy plssss. Look at him, there’s tears on his face when GJ’s one way ticket is stamped by LCY telling the guards to keep shooting. Second of all, is LCY stupid or pretending to be stupid??? He knows she loved him as LCY when they got married the final time around but he can’t pick up her hints at all. Every time he’s asked whether she loves Gu Xiaowu, she’s always looked at him - like really looked at his face, letting her eyes roam around with so much sadness over his features - and said yes. She keeps saying Gu Xiaowu has long since died. And she called GJ, GJ and teacher. She hasn’t called GJ GX ever since she got her memory back. Before that, she and everyone else only knew him as an assassin. Like bruh what’s not clicking??? Plssss. He’s a smart ass at picking up everything else apart from XF’s hints. Third of all, is LCY ok?? Is he not scared that she’ll go ✨insane✨ because he deadass held her in place to watch GJ die. Like lover or not, if I got forced to watch anyone die, I’d lose my shit, let alone someone I actually know. And finally, whatever it is that XF is eating, I want some of it because her brain is mighty strong. How has she not lost her mind is the real question. As soon as she got her memory back is the point at which I’d go off the deep end and go crazy lmao. Sorry but how tf am I having an entanglement with the same evil dude not once, not twice but three whole times??? 💀💀

It truly confuses me why people think this a romance; in fact that people can actually look at everything Li Chengyi has done to Xiaofeng and shrug it off as his 'pretending to hate her to protect her' is...kinda disgusting. 'Even when they didn't remember each other they found each other and fell in love, that's so beautiful!' Nope, even when they didn't remember their past, Li Chengyi chose to be a monster to reach his own ends, even if it meant destroying everything Xiaofeng loves and cherishes in process. Hell at least when they were younger he was just too much of a narcissist to think how his actions would negatively affect her and probably thought that their 'love' would conquer anything...like him using her to get into a position to more easily destroy her country and kill her grandfather...in front of her. Cause that's something you can just get over with the power of 'love'. This time he just didn't care at *ALL* , there was no 'we're all the hero's in our own stories and the villains in someone elses' delusions here; he *murdered* Gu Jian out of jealousy and spite even with Xiaofeng screaming, crying and begging him to stop. *That* is why Li Chengyi is a monster, because he only 'cares' when it suits his purposes and fits in with his internal narrative of 'being cruel to protect his true love' when in reality he is ruthless and cold and only loves the idea of being Xiaofengs secret protector loving her in secret, and telling himself that if she knew everything *he* did for *her* she'd love him back. In reality she sees all that pain he's inflicted on her and I don't think there is any amount of 'love' that could make her feel ok with it. So no; I like this drama, but is most definitely *NOT* a romance other than showing how to spot signs of a toxic relationship. I mean "Hate is better than treating me like nothing" if someone says that to you after killing someone they know you love (romantic or otherwise) then they should *NEVER* be see as a romantic partner because that is truly...there are no words for how disgusting and wrong that is.
