I’m so glad his Mom finally saw his POV and that she really saw through an unbiased lens what Kathy is really like and realized that there’s a reason why the things she wanted for her son didn’t happen. It also takes a big person to realize that she was selfish and meddlesome and she played a role in her son divorcing the love of his life. We all know Lala is a great wife, friend, daughter in law, daughter, sister in law, and employee. She’s a selfless person and because of that, she got hurt in the process because the one man who was supposed to be there to love her, protect her and support her, didn’t come through for her. He didn’t fight for her enough to stand up to his to his mother and that conniving Kathy. She still managed to help him out and managed to pick up the pieces of her heart. What I don’t like about modern Cdramas is that there’s too many cheating storylines which leads a lot of international viewers to assume if it’s normal in Chinese culture? I’m inclined to know as well just to clear up any stereotypes. Any Chinese nationalities out there who can shed some light and educate us?

I'm glad Kathy scolded the mom and her meddling. Someone had to say it. Now she knows how Kathy is. No offense, but didn't anyone ask for another pregnancy test/b scan. What's the timeline on all this. If she was pregnant, she should be showing by now. C'mon, at this point, she should be wearing maternity clothes, not form fitting clothes.
Can they not tell from her emerging viper personality that Kathy is likely to be lying!!!!, he has ZERO knowledge/memory that he slept with her ( we all know he didn’t and it’s not his child), do due diligence and demand proof it’s your baby, she’s a greedy snake. Fortunately he does stick to his guns and make it clear to Kathy that he has zero feelings for her and he won’t marry her but will take responsibility for the child( at this point he thinks it’s his), he tells her he still loves La La. She is obviously not happy and ends up clearing off coming back much later after her son is born. She then does tell him that the baby isn’t his. This stupid mother still wants to treat him as her “ grandson” !!!!, give me a break, Kathy broke up a marraige, lied about a baby , tried to take their home and was absolutely vile to La la. Plus La la was pregnant with the ex husbands child which she sadly looses!!!
@kaydarley2124 as long as he didn't marry Kathy or give her anything but a goodbye, I can live happily enough. There's enough of those sad, short dramas that I've lowered my standards but NOT by bottom line.
So it turns out kathys baby is not the husbands which is why he kept saying he didn't know how she got pregnant cuz he didn't actually do anything with her. She lied all along and, sadly, everyone chose to believe her. The biggest mistake the husband made was not wanting to hurt poor kathy by making her do a pregnancy and paternity test. That was very sad that he cared more about kathy's feeling than his own wife. What a coward! At the same time it was kinda hard to stomach how Lala basically just laid down and let everyone walk all over her. Not sure why she got married in the first place if she was just going to give up her husband to that b--------!
The biggest mistake the husband made is being a mommy boy. He is a spineless, wimpy excuse of a man and the wife should go down on her knees and thank - whoever she believes in - that she got rid of that useless guy! What woman in her right mind would want a man like that? Who can neither stand up to his mommy nor to any other woman that wants him - nope, not me!
Right!!! I would've forced him to wait until after the baby was born, a DNA test, and then scheduled parent visits if it was his and make sure that my husband is never alone with her. Since we found the baby wasn't his I would've said up front that we would sue her.
Soooo...Kathy intentionally got him drunk, intentionally took him back to her place, intentionally forced him to have sex when he was too blotto to give consent - she sexually assaulted him!, and didn't use any protection so she got pregnant. But she just sails away after doing all that? She should be charged. She was integral to destroying his marriage so LaLa lost everything devastatingly, didn't have any support from the father when she was pregnant...but Kathy doesn't have to take responsibility for any of that. She gets away with all that. And the only consequence is that she doesn't get to get married? Naw man. I need more retribution for bad guys in my escapism.
Well, all that was only possible, because the ML is so unbelievably weak. Had he set any boundaries, with his mother and this brat, none of that would have happened. But that guy is mommys little boy, has no backbone and is so used to lick his mommys feet, that he let all of that happen. The spoiled brat could have been dealt with in a few minutes and a grown up, normal man would have done just that but this one.... Oh, by the way, nothing happened between them, it is not his baby
It is too late old mean woman. You already help destroy your son’s life. If I am Lala, I will never get back with the cheater and his mom. Better live your life as a single woman than to live a life full of stress living with your MIL.

He didn’t touch Kathy nor sleep with her, it’s not his baby she lied to split up him and his wife and to try and force him to marry her!!!,she’s a vicious scheming bit#h, fortunately despite him thinking he’s the father at this point he won’t be forced into marrying her, he has no feelings for her. His ex wife is pregnant but choose not to tell him it’s his baby because this viper told her she was pregnant with his child, so he thinks she’s pregnant with the other man’s child ( they got together after her divorce and he knows he is not the baby’s father but wants to bring the baby up with La la).
So, you trap a married and got pregnant but you do not want to be like your mom. Did your mom trap a married man as well? I hope the scumbag will not marry the vile woman. Karma for mother and son. She cannot bully the vile shameless woman like she did to Lala.
I guess I'm not into these types of dramas where there are Mama's boys/men. I mean, for god's sake, he is 40 years old and still needs moms approval. I know in this clip he told his mother he didn't love Kathy, but why did he divorce his wife in the first place.
There are a lot of dramas out there (mostly chinese) with those mommys boys....with those weak, spineless men.....there was a time, when I was wondering, if this is the "new ideal type of men" in china....?
His mom never once listened to him. At the divorce he told her not to come but what did she do call Kathy right away. She even went to Lala's work to tell her to stay away from him.
@juliew8612 Yes, but don't you think a 40 year old would tell his mother to mind her own business unless, of course, he's a Mama's boy. It doesn't seem to matter though whether they are a Mother, girlfriend or wife they always show women in such a poor light. It gets a bit much.
@@judymonument6429 I agree! He should have just worked on his communication with his wife even after the divorce. I thought and felt sad about the way women are always treated in these dramas even when the men are blatantly wrong physically and morally it's the women who looses all the time.
WOW, the 40 years old son is allowed to make a decision....on his own.....well, that is a bit early, isn´t it??? She should at least guide him until she dies! HOW is he supposed to suddenly make his own decisions? Such a cruel mother, to just abandon her poor baby soooo soon and demanding, that he decides for his own who to marry? But hey, how happy he is, that he is allowed his own opinion on that matter! Maybe, now he can decide at what time to go to bed, when to brush his teeth and maybe, but just maybe, he is allowed to dress himself from now on....idiotic drama!
