Question! If your bike charges your battery, what prevents it from killing the lithium battery? I know the answer, but wouldn’t that also do the same for a wall charger😉

As for the bag auto lock, HD can flash the BCM / ECM to disable that feature. Then you can remove the harness. Maybe the fairing xchange can do that, too.

I admit you were correct selecting the black heat shields. With the body having the black flames it really looks super cool. So far I liked the 131 flhtk most with the red hard candy whatever the name of that paint was but the flaming eagle takes pole position easily. Great job, thanks for sharing 👍🤙🎉💯❤️

Not sure what install costs, I think he will only have the white/white version for a bit. The combo light comes out in May I think. I don’t think the install costs much at all.

Well Mrs. Monkey told me to "Do It" so my first Harley, a 2022 Road Glide Special was purchased. I blame you all !!! Enjoying the bike so far. My only complaint is the M8 throttle response. I'll be working on that when the warranty expires. Your CVO looks great.

I live in PA it’s winter now I was thinking about getting that lithium battery but someone told me they suck in cold weather states is that true or do you know if that’s a true statement I emailed advanblack no response yet. Lithium does badly in crazy low temps I am told. I am not sure what the ranges are, but I think they just don't kick in in like sub zero temps.

Bc free/sponsor lol. The Advan battery looks like a cheap Chinese knockoff battery. Just judging by the quality if those red/black cables compared to the thick, all black oem sae quick connect cable screams Chinese junk. Wouldn't trust it in my bike. Lifepo battery sure, not a cheap knockoff lithium Ion

I wasn't a fan of their first battery but this one is different. No little screen on top, etc. The charger is cheap, yes, but they just throw it in so no one uses the wrong charger. The battery came with proper brass hardware, etc. its not cheap. I've got news for you, all lithium batteries come from China, and there are only about two manufacturers so...

I like the black handles on the saddlebag lids. My bike is gunship grey with black finish so my rails and everything is black but of course they put chrome handles on the saddlebag lids from the factory. At some point I’ll get the black handles.

Your Bike really turned out awesome! I thought a lock Smith could key your barrel lock to match the key on your fob. I got the same problem but haven't dove into it yet. Quick question, I got my advanblack razor yesterday and it is great. I love it. Would I look like a complete dork rocking my suicide choppers sissy bar with my razor tour pack at Datona? Looks good to me and I can still get in the tour pack somewhat, but you're the trend setter. ( in other words ask Mrs. Monky ) Hope to meet ya in Datona if my mother's well enough for me to make it.

Hey monkey, love your videos. Quick question, you mentioned that you could use the factory tender pigtail which connects to P&A fuse able to charge the lithium battery, so no actual tender needs to be installed onto the battery. Does this allow you to charge it to 100%? ( using lithium charger of course ) Picking my up next week

I believe it does? But it's just a trickle, so if the battery is really low it might not get the job done.

I have changed bags an take out the locks and took them to a locksmith with the key u would use! Never had a problem,and it is cheaper than buying from Harley! I have done this for years!

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo) are the stable batteries, that are not as energy-dense as Lithium Ion, but they make great starting batteries. LiFePo batteries do not experience the thermal runaway -aka Bursting into the Flames of Hell - that Lithium Ion does. New RV batteries are LiFePo, so as not to burn down your RV. Electric cars use Lithium Ion because they need all the energy density they can get for range. No way I’d put a Lithium Ion in a bike, or be comfortable with one in my garage.

In my opinion, AdvanBlack just remarkets Chinese stuff for a crazy markup. Yes, they may paint some things but the plastic isn't great. The battery is more of the same it appears. You can tell by how cheap the pigtail wiring is etc. Your stock is a nice, thick, all black cable. The ones that came with the battery are a cheap, crap red/black wire you expect to get on temu or something. Again, just my opinion

I noticed that about Advanblack early on. Is why they tout “paint matching” more than the quality of the bags but as they have evolved the quality has increased. But hey! They color match !

@NuclearNug I feel like we aren't compatible and I invite you to watch someone else. I hate people that just shit on everything. The work that the Advan team puts into everything astounds me, and with zero knowledge you spout hate. Yes, the charger is cheap, I said so in the video. They throw it in there so no one tries to charge the battery with a regular battery charger. The body parts are as heavy made as stock, and the paint is done in-house. Some parts are farmed out because that's what customers want, but their core business is painted body panels. That's their business.

Is the bike set up for a lithium battery? It's a higher voltage than an AGM battery and it may not change properly without adjusting the voltage regulator.
