As a reader of romance book and wattpad, there is nothing wrong about it. There is nothing wrongabout reading and imagining you are the heroine because it was your own choice. It's not being crazy or losing our mind, it's simply having an imagination and diving in fantasy. Some of yoy can't understand because you can't see what we see. Some even say we might get pregnant early because we are readung such things, but we don't. Imagining things while reading is not distinguishing reality from fantasy. We just simply want to escape reality. You don't know how those books help others from their problems. You don't know how contented we are just by having fictional characters as husband. I can spend 24 hours straight in weekends reading but it was never a problem because I never forget my school works if I ever have. I admit I also stay in my room after school, but I make sure to finish my homeworks and such before reading. Her, reading, is not the problem. The problem is she is already disturbing someone without her knowing and she is already forgetting her grades. And her literally implying fantasy in the reality. She really can't distinguish fantasy from reality. She should know not everything is real and some books are based from an author's imagination. Not everything you read can happen in real life. She just need to balance her time. Nothing is wrong with reading such books. The bad thing is we forget what is more important thanour wants.

There's nothing wrong with reading mangas or webtoons, I'm not saying that to justify my hobby. It's good to have a hobby, and when I read webtoons, I feel like I'm interacting with various kinds of people that I cannot do in real life. Don't say this applies to reading books or comics only. Even when people watch movies, they feel like they are inside the story. Only people with great sense can invest themselves so much into it. It's not forgetting reality and fantasy. You're just enjoying. What the girl did wrong here is not reading comics, rather she is causing annoyance towards other people. Stop making it about the hobby. People can be obsessed pretty much with anything and ruin others' life. It's not about the hobby. I can relate to this girl 100000% I read romance comics and novels. I love romance movies/cartoons. Eventhough the scenes can be really cheesy, but when you read THAT much of romance stuffs, you can actually predict what's gonna happen next. The usual scenes are 1. The female lead character dropped her book/papers or she slipped on the stairs. This girl can be a nerd or someone who's not popular at school. Then, the male lead character, who happens to be the most popular gut at school, or, a guy who's a gangster, will catch her. 2. The fever/cold scene. Ah, other than the scene that the girl described, we can look at it in another angle too. Like, the female lead character fainted. The guy carries her to the infirmary room. Out of nowhere, he kisses her. Because he likes her since forever. 3. Festival/fireworks scene. So, the girl confessed and they started to go out. At the festival, the girl wears a kimono and when the guy sees her, there will be this bubbles/sparkle effects thingy the author puts. the guy will blush and takes her hands. It's not wrong to read or fantasize yourself as the female lead character but what's wrong here is asking your sister to read out the cheesy scenes that you hated so much and not having dinner with your family.

Being a kdrama and anime fan, there are boundary between reality and fantasy. This girl need to be awaken from her imagination no matter what. There are some cases where teenagers not being able to distinguish between reality and fantasy. For example, a male teenager who is a hardcore of game imagine himself as the character. To make it worse, the character is a highly trained soldier. He got trouble in school and tried to run away. He jump off from second floor and as the result his bones are broken. He said that he was able to do it just like the game. Another case is a female adolescent who is just like this girl. She is so into the fictional novel to the point she feel like she is the female character. She start to stalk a teenage boy from her school, thinking that he is the one that should be with her. But, the boy reject her, saying he doesn't have any feeling to her. This is the beginning of her obsessions. It become worse when she sneak into his bedroom and stole his items like book, shirt and others. She was arrested for broke in and stealing. Her parents were given some suggestions to take their daughter for some treatment for her mental and emotion, and they agree for it. Losing sense of reality can be quite dangerous. The way I see her; easily irritated, ignore her family. She's already shows some signs of delusional symptoms. This girl really need some professional help.
