@@diannainkorea I think you will love mini twists! it's a style that can last for 2-3 weeks( I seen some go longer than that but for me, 3 weeks is awesome!) or maybe up do twists! if you want hair off the neck! Natural hairstyles will look beautiful on you!
Henry's fake tattoo prank was cute. It's so nice to see you and your brother's family gather to dine at a Korean restaurant. Im from Florida and my daughter hair was just like yours until stylist messed her hair up with a heat press and hair is just now getting back to being nice and thick. You didn't have a lot of split ends. You just need the ReVair. Thats it. You got your hair long on your own with the help of God. Don’t let her school you!!
This is exactly what u was thinking her hair is very healthy she had little to ko damage just needed a deep conditioning to add moisture to her hair... the stylist is quite knowledgeable and i am glad she didnt getvthe the unnecessary cut

I agree. She just needed a trim, and NOT all that cut. I always pick a stylist by how they do their own hair. You could tell by her own kitchen what her level was. You just needed a hot comb press due to your texture. My daughter wears her hair natural and I just did hers for graduation and it's in the middle of her back.
Thankfully it's summer..hair grows fast around this time- The cut didn't seem too much but definitely needs a better job- her hair isn't really silked pressed(wished the results was better) but kinda good news because that means her hair won't get damaged from the heat. Kinda want to see Diana in mini twists! she will look amazing in those! it's a beautiful protective style
I grew up with my momma pressing my hair until i was 15. I never let them cut that much off. Her hair is natural. She cut too much. DIANA YOU STILL LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!!
P.S. I style hair too and she was right about the split ends (to a degree) buT the problem with some hair shops is she was toO "scissor happy"-you don't have to chop that much at one time. Instead, it can be cut more frequently in smaller inches like every 4 weeks and deeP conditioned from root to tip instead, though she did make it look lovely!!! 😍
I agree!! Not to be negative but I wouldn't want know one like that who never was taught to take care of their hair cutting mine. And it's not true when she said women weren't taught to take care of their hair maybe she wasn't but me as a black woman was taught to take care of myself and hair
Diana once your ends are healthy slightly cutting your ends is every six months. If you cut as often as she says you are not going to retain hair lenth

Diana don’t let them cut all your hair off but learn how to maintain it yourself helps a lot… it’s not hard to one section at a time… don’t forget wrap your hair at night and used a silk scarf 🧣 you hair is so beautiful thick!

@@mozartbabeAlso it bothered me the way she was combing it, when she was detangling it before the blow out. I sometimes side eye hair stylists whose own hair isn't done properly. If I was a hairstylist and I hadn't properly done my hair I would wear a decoratively wrapped silk scarf or a hat or something.

She didn’t have to cut her hair like that. I used to think the same thing about my hair but then I realized that the ends are just older, so they need to be heat trained more. That’s why they look so frizzy.
I hate how some stylists get too scissor happy, that's happened to me a few times. Sometimes it even seems like jealousy because if the hair has grown bra strap length or longer it doesn't need to be cut to shoulder length even if split ends are present. Some young stylist did that to me before. I was so mad.
I'm sorry girl but she played you. That is not a silk press. It was definitely not straightened all the way. She probably cut more then needed because of that. As a black woman to another black woman; not every black woman knows how to do hair. And this is a prime example. I'm not hating but look up a actual silk press and you'll see that you've been played.
her hair was really split though… we can see in her videos she normally doesn’t have much time for her hair, she probably hasn’t been able to give it as much tlc as she would like. when your hair is split it doesn’t straighten silky. it may seem unbelievable but i went through the same thing; when i neglected my hair and didn’t keep up with my trims my hair wouldn’t silk out and frizzed super easily. but now that i did a mini big chop my hair retains straightness and shine. she just has to keep up and her hair will flourish! it was already long she’ll do great!

Hi Dianna, I wear my hair natural and I trim my own hair every 6 to eight weeks , or just have a professional do it and just keep watching your hair for split ends, and your hair will grow out healthier by keeping it trimmed. I ❤ your hair it's beautiful 🥰 and TY for sharing

Henry was right there with you to witness the process. He was amazed. The silk press was very nice. With the split ends cut, your hair will grow even faster. That flat iron was not the right kind for her hair type, and she cut off wayyy too much length. Stylist should have used a ceramic instead of titanium iron, and better hair products to tame the frizz. I’m happy Diana was happy with her hair though😊
Where did you find this hair stylist? She is clueless! Please don't ever go back to her Diana. You have such beautiful and healthy hair. She unnecessarily cut too much hair (and with one chop straight across), and she applied too much heat to each section and still left your hair super "Puffy". Hope you and your family are enjoying this time together.
I agree! Her hair was just fine. Those weren’t dead ends. She just has natural Afro hair. 🤦🏽♀️ She just needed a relaxer/perm first, to make it properly straight. This was not silk press… it was just straightening hair.

Her hair is very full and healthy. I have hair like hers. If she wants to keep in straighter than that she is going to have to heat train it every three weeks. She needs to begin with a pressing comb. Even the best flat iron will not heat train the hair the first three times. I got my hair pressed with a straightening comb from age 5-19. So my natural hair was heat trained. Now getting that natural curl back after heat training may take a while but it will snap back. The roots do not forget their original texture.
