Ofili has proven to be a strong medal contender and she keeps breaking records. She also has a close running style of Allyson Felix, running the 100m, 200m and 400m. Amazing athlete to watch.
@@AugustineOfeh absolutely! I’m so proud of this beautiful young athlete and running with Aleia and Brisco is gonna fix her start tons. I can’t wait to see how she does over the next two or three years…I think she will be on another level next year.
I know why athletes are killing it this year!!! It's because Total Running Productions is making track and field badass! Guarantee, all these athletes watch this channel.
I ran track when I was a kid and I jogged and ran some across my life but never was interested in Daily track and field stories. I'm so hooked on this page I can't wait for updates. Perfectly done
I want to predict a 21.8 range time for the ncaa in the 200 and 10.8 in the 100 . For worlds I would love her to focus on the 200 as she has run a lot compared to the pros .
My sprinting Prodigy finally getting the recognition she deserves. More record times to come. I reckon its just the beginning for her as she is just 19. My favourite to win the NCAA 100m and 200m
@@litgamer6205 HATER. You just have to bring in something negative in order to reduce the accomplishments of these athletes. For your information, they are tested for PEDs. However, if you have any information on the contrary, please present it.
@@litgamer6205 hmm! You mean that the Nigerian athletes use drugs? People, can this guy be sued for defamation of character or something similar. Then, he/she will be forced to provide proof or be convicted.
@@naturalblockade3412 Honestly I'm not, I love the Nigerian athletes, I just think we have to keep an open mind as to all these athletes popping up its VERY suspicious and we all know how corrupt Nigeria is I don't think it's a stretch to assume the same of their PED testing 🤔😃
Nigeria have got themselves a handy group of young sprinters for the next decade in Favour Ofili, Grace Nwokocha, Rosemary Chukwuma, Patience Omovoh & Tobi Amusan for the women; and Udodi Onwuzurike, Alaba Akintola, Favour Ashe, Raymond Ekevwo, Godson Oghenebrume, Enoch Adegoke, Usheoritse Itsekiri & Divine Oduduru for the men. Hopefully a bunch of them don't end up running for the likes of Bahrain or Qatar in the next 3-5 years like Naser, Odiong & Ogunode as a result of terrible & incompetent Nigerian Sports Administration.
You have the best track channel. Always informative and always giving everyone their props. Never being biased letting the sprinter speak instead of making a sprinter great just because they are popular. I got mad respect and love for you.
By making every performance groundbreaking and other worldly, I feel like I'm losing sense of what's truly impressive and what just good or very good... I know this is a good way to get more views and to put the spotlight on those performances, but I don't completely agree with the approach Cheers
Now that Ofili has been recognized, let’s give Julien Alfred some attention. She has been consistently fast in the 100. People are discounting her wind aided times last week, but on May 13, she ran 10.81 with 1.7 wind which is the 3rd fastest wind legal time for women in NCAA history. Alfred should be favored in the 100.
Hard to tell about Worlds. Cambrea Sturgis broke 10.80 last year in NCAA finals, but her hectic racing schedule hurt her chances at the Olympics. NCAA athletes have more demanding racing schedules than the pros.
Agreed. Guys like Laird and Boling were also gassed out by the time the Olympic trials were being held. I feel like the NCAA needs to shorten the season
@@TheHuskyK9 if you take their best times for the season, where would they have placed? I believe Laird would have been okay for the 200, but I don't remember what his time was for the 100.
so happy to see Kenya at the top and in contention in the sprints... we're so used to middle and distance running that this is so novel and refreshing that it's captured a nation's imagination... hope it brings through other sprinters
10. 70 , 21. 88 ncaa finals, 10.65 , 21.75 world championship finals. Favor is the next Big track starr after Elaine and Shelly. Get it Ofili God got you.
10.70? 10.65? You cannot be serious. 😂 Bro I hate when y'all get delusional just bcz a person is running well. Do you know how hard it is to run 10.70?? Much less sub 10.7? Jeez at least be realistic 🤦🏿♂️
@@albertmaraj she's like fred curly, just started running 100m , she's getting faster every final she's in, she has yet to pop the big 1 in the right conditions. Us sprinters know this . Just watch .
Everyone is talking about Ofili and Steiner as though they will take top spots in 100 and 200. I am a Steiner fan but I think Julien Alfred will win the 100.
Don't forget Julien Alfred, Melissa Jefferson and Abby Steiner - and I think there is a couple of other girls in NCAA under 11.00 also. It will almost be a World Championship worthy final at NCAA... I personaly think Jefferson will win, she seems to be wise enough to save the best for the final. As she did in the indoors 60m.
I think Ofili would be the favorite in the 200 but in the 100 it's gonna be a battle with Alfred and Jefferson in there along with Steiner. It's gonna be bananas. I got Alfred in the 100 meters.
Nigerian women not only have a very high IQ, they are some of the strongest women on the planet. I think we’re going to see more Nigerian names dominate track and field as well as other sports 🔥
At a buffet, I personally sneak corn into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 boiled corn ears in my jacket pockets. It is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corn thinking they were part of the buffet.
Hi Total Running Productions, love your work and the content you put out. Just wanted to check if you have a system for determining what is “significant” wind? Here you say a 1.2m/s headwind is significant, but in other videos when adjusting wind aided runs you’ve called a 1.2m/s tailwind “slight”.
I don't see NCAA athletes having any major impact at the World Champs. After such a long and arduous season, very few, if any, of them will be a factor.
Athing Mu was a good exception last year, but I think she was so good she didn't had to go really maximum as most have to win at NCAA, so she had a little saved for the Olympics.
It's the new track technology surfaces. For example, the Tokyo designer, Andrea Vallauri, says the new surface enhances performance by 1-2%. Obviously, not many surfaces have been upgraded to that level but just upgrading past surfaces to the next notch or two down will make the difference we are seeing. Heck, my alma mater DIII track is being upgraded after twenty years. That'll make a big difference in track records being broken.
She's making the women's collegiate sprints exciting. There are a few women who will push her, but I'm definitely team Ofili. Good luck at NCAAs Favour!
Reece Prescod just beat Yohan Blake in the Golden Spike Meet in a time of 9.93 into a headwind of -1.2m/s. If you convert the wind he would've equalled Linford Christie's NR of 9.87. He's back ladies and gentlemen.
Looks like it's going to be a great year for sprinting! I wonder if Abby Steiner could improve her times by sorting out her arm movements? At the moment they are very side-to-side; which is not ideal. If she could change that to a more front-to-back motion she should be able to gain a little... so long as it doesn't mess up the rest of her mechanics!
The reason sprinters are running faster is because of the spikes they're now wearing, largely the Nike Air Zoom Maxfly. These spikes can give profound improvements.
With so many super time by so many different athletes it does make one wonder if shoe technology is the deciding factor, the key variable. Like the swimsuit era in the late 1990’s, early 2000’s changed the sport until they reversed the rules!
Abby will get into the .80's in the 200 and win that event, let's just say 21:82 for the 200 title. In the 100 it'll take a sub 11:00 to win that, Abby has a good chance if she can get an all time best start, otherwise that title will go to Favour or that girl from the western regional who I believe ran in the 10:80's! Abby has it in her but she needs that incredible start in the 100!
Thank you for all your vids! Can I ask a favor? Pls slow down with the "dropped an absolute bomb" on every video and use of double negative with "negative headwind", since headwind by definition means wind against the runner (technically, it's a negative "tailwind"). A negative headwind would mean a tailwind. Peace.
Don't get your hopes up for a video on the 100m. Sometimes TRP hypes a race and never follows up, especially when the results are lackluster. I signed for Peacock premium for 4.99/mo to watch the whole Prefontaine track meet. You can watch it on demand there if interested. The Bowerman mile was a more interesting race compared to the 100m.
Ofili definitely my favorite Collegiate athlete right now and I see her winning NCAA'S 100m...👍🔥🔥 200m will be much tighter with Abby Blazing too... but I believe both these incredible Sprinters have the best chance at 1st and 2nd in the 200m. I know there is a couple real fast females in the West who've dropped crazy fast wind-aided 100m times and I'm sure they'll be fighting for 1st too, but I believe Ofili is gonna take it in the 100m. 🔥🔥
She will definitely take the 100 and the 200 ncaa championship but the world championship she will go only to the finals in 100 and 200 but to take medal 🏅 she will need to go under 9:80 in the 100 and 21.90 in the 200 and she is not there I think she need to focus in the 400 because 50.70 in the relay’s it is remarkable and if she will focus on the 400 she can get a medal
@@simonsnow9865 Ofili will not win the 100. Alfred has run consistently faster times and is peaking now. I agree that Ofili or Steiner wins the 200, and I'm hoping it is Abby. Go USA!
Favour Ofili looks like she is super human in every race that doesn't include Abby Steiner, and Steiner looks like she's on the precipice of finishing a step ahead rather than behind. I am looking forward to these ladies doing Battle for years to come, exciting, and oh yeah, She'carri.
It's hard that they split up her and her brother that he went to Tennessee and not LSU.. paper Ashley I guess he's the 100 m champ.. they are from Nigeria.. I believe their names mean asked for a favor,.
Sprinters need time to come to a stop after crossing the finish line so why have photographers and officials standing just past the line is absolutely ridiculous from the organisers. Poor planning and little safety considerations.
