*SHE'S THE MAN* left us howling (First time watching reaction) 

I feel like this flick is the type of stuff that Netflix originals should be. They have that charm about them where everyone's ok with looking goofy. All the Netflix stuff you see now has younger people just trying to look cool or just barely acting. Seems like everyone who worked on this movie knows what tone they're going for.

I had the "wait, is that the actress from AIRPLANE!?" moment at the beginning, glad you guys finally caught up to it, lol! It was driving me crazy.

Ok i've never seen this film, but it looks really fun!!! Also the actor playing their coach, is Vinnie Jones. Who WAS a professional English football player for years. Before getting into acting, his first role was Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. (He was known as the bad boy of Football and was quite a vicious player haha)

Such a great reaction. This movie is so entertaining. The shower scene where Channing Tatum slaps the guy with the towel actually hit the guy in the eye and that was a real reaction from him. Amanda Byrnes looked so much like a boy with the wig and side burns that it led to massive depression. She also fought for Channing Tatum to get the role of Duke which he credits her for jumpstarting his career. Technically they would have to either forfeit or she couldn’t play in the game due to she’s not enrolled in the school or on the team roster.

I had to watch this in English class and the only thing I could think of was “holy shit this is the most violently 2006 movie I’ve ever seen”

When my daughter was a teenager, we'd watch this movie over and over, and quote it whenever possible. I still find it hilarious, even though you have to suspend belief at times. Julie Haggerty, the mom, is terribly underrated as a comedic actress. Im so impressed that you remember her as Elaine, from Airplane. P.S. She (Amanda Bynes ) took on a Southern accent because the story takes place somewhere in the South.

I loved Amanda Bynes so much! She was such a talented and funny actress. I hope that she has found peace and happiness.

The Coach is played by a man known as Vinnie Johnes... Vinnie was a professional footballer player who was one of the FASTEST red card holders in history because someone insulted his family and before the whistle blew he ran at the guy and flying kicked him at under 5 seconds. He then went into acting after his football career and became a famous Englishman actor... He now plays badass Englishman characters. I suggest checking out Mean Machine... If you've ever seen the longest yard, that's a parody of mean machine. I won't spoil it, but be prepared for violence and vinnie being a nutter.

So can we just agree that Amanda in the boy-guise looks like a mash-up of Zac Efron and Ellen DeGeneres?

My niece made me watch this movie and I really wasn't interested in seeing it, but am so glad I did. I loved it!

The coach is Vinnie Jones - previously a soccer player, his first movie was Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - which is a brilliant movie (also Guy Ritchies first movie). Well worth the watch.

You guys thinking of doing the 1996 movie version of 'Twelfth Night' - the play that inspired this movie? It's got a young Helena Bonham Carter in it from before she started doing creepier roles, Ben Kingsley has a pretty good singing voice in it as well.

I just rewatched this movie and realized how amazing Amanda Bynes was. She's does both cute and goofy so naturally.

This movie's plot reminds me of a similar premise in "Just One of the Guys" from the 80's, where a young woman pretends to be a guy for equal treatment for a writing contest and a summer internship at a newspaper. The movie is way more interesting than it sounds tbh.
