Girl sounds like that unpainted workbench is an issue for people. So many suggestions to paint it. All the beauty, organization and super good ideas and they focus on what THEY feel is lacking. Aren’t people just lovely. It’s a beautiful She Shed…Excellent job.
Agree! And I actually quite love the juxtaposition of the pretty pink with the utilitarian/warehouse style of the table top! The acrylic makes it look stylish and purposeful too and I love it!
@@weceestyle i am looking for that in mine as soon as I do better with selling online this year...we have a window unit which was free :) and a space heater which was meant inside the house but does better our in the shed...we only have a couple months of cold...so not too bad for sure. It is the air and high humidity I need to work on with so much stuff in ours like clothing and craft stuff...
OMG you are an answer to prayer for this very unorganized crafter and online seller but not for long lol. I have a bigger shed but still a mess. Covid totally messed up our life...and I still struggle from long term effects but trying to pull out of it. You have some great ideas here...will be back...thanks for showing your she shed...one day mine will look that great lol!
I’m looking forward to you sharing an update with me regarding your shed 👀 I hate to read that Covid messed up your life, but I hope you’re able to pull yourself out of it healthily and soon ❤️ Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Shed is beautiful 😍 I’m loving everything you’ve done. I have a 12x24 She Shed and I go out to it everyday 😂 your sewing machines are nice! I do crafting in mines whenever I’m not just relaxing.
That is so sweet! Thank you so much 😊 And yes! I find any chance I can to go out there just to relax lol So glad you can relate and 12x24!? I would love that much space!
SmartSheShed....YOU NEED TO DO SMARTSHESHEDS across America....I love your smart innovation and solidly wise choice of equipment and furniture....YOU ARE KINDA SHORT ON SPACE FOR MY PRIZED SMALL PIECES OF FABRIC THAT I CAN'T TOSS OUT JUST YET! trust me....we all love you and want you to design OUR smartsheshed!
I love it, you just help me make up my mind I’m getting one the same size, I was looking at one last week, thank you so much! I actually have one of those heat/air conditioner and was going to get rid of it but now I’m putting it up because it’s going in my shed and I have a remote to it and I have a different brand.
Your shed is lovely, I bet you are really enjoying it! I need to get motivated to clean out my extra room. In my previous house, I had a dedicated room, and it was wonderful to leave a project and be able to return to it without having to get everything back out.
A sheshed for sewing. So cool. You did really nice with it but your table top needs to be painted or covered with contact paper or vinyl. That untreated wood takes away from your look.
Hi! I really admire your space. I have desired a she-she’d/sewing room of my own. My home is crowded and I can’t designate a room for myself so this is an inspiring video.
You are very smart to establish this sanctuary as a priority for you, especially as a young mother. Peace, creativity, joy, privacy - all critical elements of mental health, making you a better wife and mother, and being more productive with your time. You are wise beyond your years.
Love your She Shed ❤. I had a beautiful empty picture frame on the wall for a long time. I named it “Pure Potentiality.” It is now populated with a painting for which I bartered a handwoven dish towel. ☺️ Craft On, Sister❣️
Looks great. I'm a quilter so I would just add a comfortable level cutting area and design boards. If a seamstress, I would add a padded dress mannequin
So beautiful! Sewing machine, books... paradise 🥰. I love books, sewing and knitting and I just knew there was not going to be yarn in there. I hope you have many blissful days there.
@@weceestyle I just looked that up - that sounds so interesting... like a serious version of the movie True Lies. I'm a Stephen King fan and have not read much in years. I just started reading The Outsider and have a couple more in that series lined up. Once done, I'm going to re-read some of my favorites like It, Needful Things, Pet Sematary, the works. I love his books - they might not be for everyone, but I've been a fan since I was 14.
Great studio space!!! Sis think about switching to a "mini split" unit that can be mounted high up on the wall over the door or maybe on the wall above where the current hv/ac unit is. They also come with a remote and can heat and cool you small space and probably for the same price as the floor unit. If you do that you can add a wall mount fold down/out table that you can us to cut and layout your fabrics then fold it away when not in use. Great job!!! You can plant your outdoor plants in grow bags and pots to acclimate them then transfer to in-ground especially as you figure out the soil issues. Also having them in containers allows you to move them inside or into a greenhouse or your garage when the weather is really cold.
Yes, many people have mentioned a mini split in the comments so I’m going to do some research and check it out. I thought about engineering an extension to my workbench to cut, but I currently use the floor and I have no problem with that. The floor provides me with more space than any table can so idk 🤷🏾♀️ I think putting my plants for outside the shed in containers is genius!! Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions! ❤️
I love it. Wish I had a separate creative space but I live in an apartment. Enjoy it in good health. A coat of paint would work for the table top but it’s fine as is too.
Wow, this is beautiful, well done!! We just renovated a shed ourselves, and it's a lot of work!! 😅 So kudos to you, and I wish you lots comfy and creative energy in your space!! Much love 💖😊
Oh wow! Pink and gold are one of my favourite combinations - imho, it feels like a French lady’s studio space…..classy and elegant. Your decor items absolutely emphasize that vibe for me. The only thing I worry about for you is that fluorescent light. They often cause terrible headaches, so please be careful with that. BTW, that little pink cart is super cute! Hugs from the Canadian Arctic❣️🇨🇦
Your space is dope! Absolutely love it. Also the organization under your desk is so neat. Im such a visual person I would probably sew up a lil curtain to cover the bottom for even more sleekness. Either way it looks great!
On the workbench consider the old fashion laminate counters… I completely blanked out when looking for mine and thought of it AFTER I had replaced it. It would have been much more cost effective and they really do make higher quality beautiful ones these days!
Love your She Shed, I have a 12 x 16 and I put 12,000 BTU mini split in my shed and it is wonderful and it’s on the wall up high so you get your floor space back and there is no noise because the condenser is outside very quiet
That is awesome! I’ll definitely have to look into that. Now, are the mini splits in connection to your HVAC for your home, or is this something that can be plugged in?
This is a lovely and inviting space. I also love pink and your space has such an inviting glow. Have you looked into a mini split? I have no idea of the cost but they seem to be very popular for tiny houses and workshops. RU-vid just recommended your channel and it looks like you are doing all the things I love. Sewing, gardening and crafting. I’m subscribed.🌸
I’m scratching my head right now because I remember this video from a few years ago when you first redid the shed I subscribed to your channel then and I’ve been wondering where did go and I just came across this video today and things was like dejavu. I know I’m not imagining this. Did you start your channel all over again?? Either way I’m glad you’re back ❤️😊
Love your sewing she shed! Do you have any problems with mice? I live in Michigan so hubby would definitely have to put heat in mine, since I sew mainly in the winters. Yours looks lovely!
Thank you! No, I’ve never had any problems with mice or any other critters. Yes, you’ll definitely need heat in yours. The space heater works wonderfully in mine during the winter, but our winters are milder than yours in Michigan I’m sure.
I believe you would love a mini split for heat and air. It quiet and no wiring shows. It’s off the floor. Your work bench works well for you. Just paint and decorate it. You will love it if you expand your outdoor space as well.
A Mini split is a great idea, but if that can’t be done in the near future would you consider moving your bench to that corner when renovating it? This way the ac unit could be under the bench and out of the way. I know this takes your reading nook away from the window, but maybe worth considering. I am envious, I am happy for you and your creative journey!
I have a little she shed space in my home. My room is just as big as your shed. I have very little room for laying out fabric and cutting. But its cozy. I will take your suggestion, got to get things up off the floor.
I would just paint the work table a dark charcoal grey, under the plexiglass. In terms of the deck I would keep the ramp you have but just pull it out. Build a new larger deck and add the ramp to the front
Your shed is almost identical to mine. I use mine for my sewing room also. One piece of advice I’ll give you is to get a small air conditioner. I’m in Southern California and my shed heats up in the summer!
Suggestions pink paint for your work station put acrylic on top or even dollar store has peel and stick wallpaper sheets 18×11 nice patterns and for heat and air, a split air system prices vary by size of room
My first machine, and the machine that introduced me to sewing, is mechanical. After using it for two years, I upgraded to a computerized machine with a couple features that I really wanted like the easier threading and automatic thread cutter. I kept the mechanical machine because it’s heavy duty and works with thicker fabric and more layers better than the Quantum Stylist.
I would love a she-shed one day. I sew in my dining room right now and want my own space. I also live in the piedmont area near Lewisville. I understand the weather issues. I would like a mini-split for my shed when I get one someday.
Hey!! We’re only about 35 mins apart! Happy to have you here 🥰 Someone mentioned a mini split so I’m going to research that. Wishing you a dedicated space for your sewing but until then, Happy Sewing! ❤️
That would’ve been great footage, but I didn’t have a RU-vid channel then 🫤 Any work or upgrades that I do now will certainly be documented though. Thanks for watching! 😊
