She's more than a singer. She's a performer. I always feel like I get wrapped up in the song with her. She makes me feel it... and yeah, doing this at the age of 15 is just nuts.

Great analysis again, always happy to see one of your videos about Diana. Since you mentioned her range limits, around that time late 15 early 16 her voice darkened a lot because of puberty, she lost most of her range but with hard work and dedication she gained it all back and then she even went ahead in to some crazy high territories. Nowadays Diana has said that the highest she can go on chest voice is a D5 and the highest note she sustained on her duet video with Brandon Stone singing her song "The day you..." is a D6 ! I invite you to listen and analyze that next since i think you have already heard plenty of her low mid register, it is time for you to experience her high register too, the video is easy enough to find on her main channel, it is one of her latest videos and it has almost 2 mil views, you will not have copyright problems with it. Thanks for more analysis of Diana. I eagerly watch as soon as you appear in my feed. Diana works hard and is always releasing new things. What's more she works across a wide spectrum of styles. One of the last things she has released is a live video of her singing a requiem at an award ceremony. What really stands out there is her ability to inject into her performance completely honest and believable emotion which her audience immediately empathicaly responds to. The song is Quiet Outpost and it is on her Diana Ankudinova Life yt channel.

Hi Peter, always look forward to your reactions to Diana. You asked for more music from her I recommend, Mabe i Mabe You, it is in a small venue and you can really hear her voice. She was 16 at the time
She's lightened her voice as she's grown, and learned to sing with less of that dark tone while increasing her upper range. My favorite of her younger performances is Rechenka, where she displays her full witchy otherworldliness and storytelling. Also, she does a very simple performance of a folk song usually translated as The Ornery Horses which is emotionally powerful.
It’s so crazy I just watched a different version of her human video yesterday and came over to your channel to see if you had reacted to it and saw you were premiering next day!! My favorite video of hers is can’t help falling in love I watch it on her page all the time I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it! My second favorite is it’s not even evening yet and you’ve reacted to that one too! She’s just amazing!

The queen of low notes, even here at only 15 years old. I think she was already on her way to the stature she achieved. And I agree, there’s a near bass-like quality to her voice, in my opinion, at least in some feminine variation. I learned to sing in falsetto by emulating a female vocalist. But when I was young I had a much higher voice, so much that I don’t think I could’ve sung along to Diana well enough, had she been around. But she’s here right now without a doubt.
This was my first video I ever heard of Diana and I was instantly shocked that a 15 yr old girl could sound like this.. was hooked and been following for about 5 years now..
It’s so easy to focus on the uniqueness of her voice and treat like a gimmick but it doesn’t take long to appreciate her vocal talent and her performance capabilities. She draws you into another world. That what I love about performers like Diana, Hua Chen Yu, Dimash, and Zhou Shen. They so much more than the wow factor of their unique tone or vocal ranges. Even when they perform simpler songs without the acrobatics they can still draw you in. I would love to see you react to Zhou Shen. Such an amazing singer who does not get enough attention from western reactors. His latest song the original soundtrack for the Chinese movie Decoded is stunning. He just performed it live at the TMEA music awards. You don’t know what you are missing.

At fifteen her body and voice are changing almost weekly... This track is the heaviest example of the deep swallowed sound and the most limited point of her singing range.. From shortly after this she begins working on opening Up her range and tone colour.. and shes still expanding virtually every posting.. you need to try Dune or the recent Duet she does with her singer producer friend.🇬🇧🧙🏻♂️
Another great reaction and analysis. Not sure if you were aware, but Diana's vocal range spans almost four octaves; approximately from G2 to D6 as of 2023. By the way, I just came across your cover of "Enemy," and I am quite impressed. I had no idea you were that talented. I loved the performance; much respect.

She didn't use any polyphonic techniques here. What is making her voice sound so different here is 1. the covered sound by closing some of her vocal tract and raising the larynx and 2. using overtones (overtones can sound similar to polyphonic singing but there are different things). And of course her vocal tone/timbre is just really unique itself which adds to it.
