Angela taught me how to play this song on her tutorial video, it was my first attempt at an open tuning song. Anytime I play this song for anyone they are impressed , she is an excellent teacher. As she taught it and as it is on the studio album is actually open E . It sounds like she tuned down to open D to accommodate vocals . I love the vocals on this version , the young lady who is singing does a really excellent soulful version in my opinion. Angela is an excellent teacher and before my introduction to her channel , I would have never attempted this song, you can play it in standard tuning, but it is nowhere as beautiful as the wonderful open E tuning. I also learned how to play wild horses from her tutorial as well , once again, a beautiful open tuning song. If you are a guitar player that only plays in standard or e-flat , you are seriously missing out on a new dimension of guitar playing.
