Celine was going through a lot at the time! This performance was not long before her husband and brother passed.

In September 2015, Celine Dion announced that her husband, Angélil, had cancer that had progressed, and he had only 'months to live.' This made it difficult for her to sing, affecting her voice however, she performed remarkably well.

Why she sing Noël? She sing that on her Christmas album Theses are the special times. It’s a reminder of the French version of that song « Minuit chrétien ».

You've probably seen this one, "Céline Dion O Holy Night from the 1998 "These are Special Times" I remember watching this on tv as a kid when it aired, and being absolutely mesmerized. To this day I think it's the best version ever made.

I'd like that a vocalist help me with some analysis of that emblematic voice of Celine. She seems to never make the effort that some singers (not all of them) put to hit any kind note, high or low, it doesn't matter to her. She is one of the best of the best singer of all time singer.

I believe that was a hard Christmas for Celine… her husband died beginning January 2016. I agree with you on she being tired - probably sad too. You need to do more Celine!!! By the way, this video has a reverb and piano that were not part of the original show, probably added by who upload this version. Merry Christmas!

Her husband and manager Rene Angelil was dying of cancer this was dying of cancer at home and it was the last Christmas she had with him he died January 2016 not even a month after she sang this lovely Christmas song that I think she delivered with so much passion and love that's what important❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢

Love your reaction and analysis! ONE OK ROCK, Japanese band, has a phenomenal vocalist, Taka, he covered *HELLO and Easy On Me - Adelle, he can sing it in original key* check them out!! I guarantee you'll be surprised by his unique voice!! Also check their original *Take What You Want - LIVE Tokyo Dome 2018!* their LIVE performances are always top tier. I'd really appreciate it!
