It's never occurred to her that children develop their muscles and burn calories by walking, running, and playing, not sitting in a stroller eating everything that isn't nailed down.
I’m 42 and yeah I’m overweight and have ms, fibromyalgia, neuropathy and other issues and I refuse to use a cane, let alone a walker or wheelchair till I absolutely have too. She should walk more to lose weight. Or just not leave the house lmao
@@maryjane4432my partner has MS and Kennedys disease. They refuse to use the walker their doctor demands and only use the cane if I demand it myself. My point is that truly independent non-lazy ppl don’t want to have to use these things…. She reminds me of Homer Simpson’s attitude toward it all. Ugh
Just what we need, more lazy people complaining they should have higher priority over someone who has genuine needs. Next she'll be expecting ramps everywhere, because "we shouldn't have to use stairs." Why not just hand out disabled parking badges as well, because it must be difficult walking so far from the store to get to their car. I'm not going to treat obesity like it's a disability. I mean, it seems like this is the start of more to come. "I need a disabled toilet more." "I need the priority seat on public transport more!" "I need those mobility scooter shopping carts more!"
Using a wheelchair and you're not hurt/suffering makes no sense. As an obese person suffering with a neurological disorder where my pain receptors don't turn off, I still walk miles a day and work in a non climate controlled warehouse. Hurt people, disabled people and children need strollers, not lazy people.
I think she should use a wheelchair to preserve what is left of her knees and do water exercise instead. Still, her beeing fat is the real problem here
There's a Samoan guy livin in New Zealand who is recording his weight loss on his RU-vid channel 'Uce Gang'. He's a big boy and he's great motivation. Funnily enough, he's never used being overweight as an excuse to be in a wheelchair. His progress is brilliant and he's a laugh too. This angry obese woman needs to take a leaf from his book. She's just lazy and looking for excuses instead of being honest with herself.
Ok, I'm done. I am classified as disabled. I have a handicap parking permit. I can't walk long distances without stopping to rest and catch my breath. Do you know what I don't have? A wheelchair. Whether at Walmart with the motorized carts or at the airport, I never use a wheelchair. Why? Because there is always someone who needs it more! I go to airports early so I can take my time getting to the gate. In Walmart, I walk slowly and rest when I need to. But do you want to guess who DOES use these in airports and shopping centers? Yup, fat people. Sorry, but, "I'm disabled because I won't put down the bacon wrapped donut" is not a disability...
I am disabled too due to a heart defect. I too, have a HC tag, AND I'm a fat guy, I couldn't use a damn wheelchair without feeling like an ass! People like this are pathetic. Maybe she needs a "go fund me" to build her the perfect stroller for a 500 lb person.
I hope you use a wheel chair or motorized carts when you need to. It seems that the people who need wheelchairs/motorized scooters, or even those golf carts at the airport most don't use them because they care about someone who needs it more. You are thoughtful and kind.
@@terryb9750 Take care of your heart and use a wheelchair or motorized scooter so you don't over exert yourself. Your heart health is important. You are just another thoughtful and kind human.
As someone who was morbidly obese, it took one gastric bypass and a shitload of ups and downs in life to maintain my current weight. 325 lbs to 174 lbs currently. Bitching, moaning, whining and griping will not melt the physical pounds away. They’ll melt away temporarily as far as the emotions go. Don’t like yourself, do something about it! TikTok isn’t going to help.
Wow that's amazing! Good for you! I've been thinking about gastric bypass myself. My highest weight was 240lbs but I'm 5'3 so it's not exactly an ideal BMI. I'm currently down to 205 with Ozempic but I've hit a plateau at the moment and haven't been able to get it down any further. How was bypass for you? I'm just curious to hear from someone whos actually gotten the procedure done. I'm only 21, but I'm diabetic which makes the whole weight thing more serious and urgent.
I'll admit it. I'm fat. Not as fat as I used to be... I've lost 40 pounds in the past 8 months. But I'm fat because of my choices. Why is that anyone else's fault but mine! I'm going for another 30! With no strollers. 😂
@@beeinthehive Just pointing something out I see here in the proletariat paradise, People's Republic of California daily, Homeless Losers with wheelchairs they stole playing handicapped begging. I'm a few minutes north of Tijuana, Mexico.
@@funfact8660 California is far from a proletariats paradise. It's just another capitalist nightmare. It is about to have the world's 4th largest economy and it could fixe many of the problems, like homelessness, which capitalism has created but chooses not to do so. It goes straight back to the wealthy, just like all other plutocracies. There are no leftists holding office or in control there. It's just another capitalist dystopia. It sounds like you don't know, so I'll just inform you that liberals and democrats are centrists and capitalists who are nearly as bad as conservatives. The economy is far worse in conservative states... So is the murder rates and domestic terrorist mass shootings and crime in general... By FAR. You're going by what you see with your own eyes and not facts. I suggest you do some research before you troll. Try harder.
Who's saying she can't have a wheelchair? If you want a wheelchair, buy a wheelchair. Parent's buy the strollers for their kids. It's not given to them. If you are talking about getting a free wheelchair from your insurance that's a different story. You need a qualifying condition.
Your bones are not underdeveloped.... You're just fat. People need to realize there's a line between body positivity and obesity. Body positivity is for people who have little to no confidence, they're healthy (for their age and height, or you have an illnesss that causes u to gain weight no matter what you do for a diet)) but curvy or chubby and obese is you not caring and eating far too much while not exercising.
I have no idea where she's getting the idea that mobility devices are being withheld from the obese. I had a relative who was heavily overweight (not sure how), and she used a power chair. But we're Canadian, so maybe it's easier in some countries than others.
Same. My uncle had a wheelchair, due to obesity and amputation due to diabetes, but I'm finnish and don't have the US healthcare issues.. maybe she's just pissed, bc her doctor refused to give her a wheelchair and told her to walk and lose weight..
@@petty334 Indeed, it should be a protected class under the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 but it is not. The only state to list consider weight based discrimination as a protected class is Michigan. I think more will get on board for that. Even though nearly 40% of American adults are considered obese, I think having weight considered a disability will be hard to achieve. First, there is such judgement that goes along with it and secondly, the insurance industry, private and public, will fight because they know it will be very costly. BTW, seven states now include Hair Discrimination as a protected class under their State's civil rights laws. I think we have a better chance of achieving that than the obesity issue. I don't agree with this woman's opinion that overweight people need stroller like devices, but if one has a condition that makes it hard to walk, get yourself a disability placard, and get a scooter and seek help for your condition.
😂 you can just tell that this B was whining to her Dr, pushing for a wheelchair recommendation, and the Dr shut her down, so she went to the internet for support🤣
Oh! the sins of sloth and gluttony is rife here with this one. They really should take South Park's Chef's advice "And run around the block a few times".
I am so happy I am finally losing weight. I have hypothyroidism disease and it will make you gain weight. I used to be 110lb and because of the disease undetected I gain so much weight. I still eat the same things and walk everyday (can't run or my hip will pop out. Not fixable. Seen 5 different doctors).
I have the same problem, my health problems reaulted in weight gain...so I bought a mobility walker so I could still walk and get exercise...I did not just give up and just get a wheelchair!! She just sounds lazy!!
So this is why I have so much trouble getting a wheelchair at the airport.. there's a difference between not being able to walk long distances and choosing to not walk because it's easier for you to be pushed in a wheelchair. Unreal 🤬
My guess is she tried to get her doctor to ok a wheelchair so insurance would pay for it & he said no because she still was mobile. Actually...probably both tbh 🙄
I have a lot of back and hip issues, I’m 21 and have a really hard time walking some days. I have my lifelong injuries and pain from when I did sports. Being overweight is not a disability. Would I like to be pushed around in a stroller? Hell yea, but as someone who spends $200 on physical therapy every month an additional $40 a month for a pool membership (a form of pt) and can’t get out of bed some days do to pain I would never expect this. Being fat is not a disability
Honestly, I really hope this isn't going to pick up traction. The fact they want to take away from people who have needs, just because they can't be bothered to walk is ridiculous. From the sound of it she wants to be treated the same as those who have disabilities, but she also wants to take from people who have disabilities. There's a reason overweight people have never been treated like they're disabled, there's too many of them and making them a priority pushes out people who genuinely have needs. I'd rather not give her the satisfaction to think she can get more out of complaining online, because she'll never stop until everything is how she wants it. If all of her supporters do the same and they're listened to, then they'll likely take priority over someone who has needs. I don't want that for anyone, but the internet has managed to get a lot out of complaining lately. I hope someone who has the power to say no to this also has the backbone to say no, instead of being swayed by public outcry.
Me too.. I’ve had a bunch of surgeries. My back is the worst. I’ve been dealing with it since I was 21. I was walking in a crosswalk and hit by a drunk driver. Speaking from experience, DO NOT GET HOOKED ON PAIN MEDS! Please!! It ruined my life. I was doing PT and acupuncture. I was doing pool therapy. I went down every avenue. I was always in pain and I just wanted to feel good. I was prescribed pain meds. They were amazing. I could finally do stuff and I was happy. But your tolerance goes up and up. I ended up buying meds from sketchy people off Craigslist and going downhill. You have a fresh start I wish I had. I’m sending you so much love 💕 things will be ok.
@@Findpepperbridge I’m 21 actually haha, my issues started when I was around 16 though. I’ve only just gotten pain meds literally like two weeks ago. I’ve taken maybe two so far. It’s not a big one, essentially just a little stronger than otc meds but not super heavy
The fact that she’s comparing something that’s out of a persons control, to a lifestyle choice, really tells you everything you need to know about her.
This is crazy. I agree with those in the comment section: if she wants a scooter, she should buy one (and not on the taxpayer’s dime). Her argument about why toddlers use strollers is 🗑️ so she needs to go take a walk and forget about it.
I am disabled in which I have multiple chronic illnesses where I can not walk very long distances or stand for a very long period of time without becoming physically ill and in pain. With that said, something’s she said I agree with but then she takes them in batshit wild direction which had me like girl hUH?? Because my condition is “invisible” (aka it looks like nothings wrong with me on the outside) I can tell you the “who can use a scooter/wheelchair” thing is real. I *only ever* use the scooters (hell even a handicapped parking space) on really bad days, however I have one too many stories of people approaching me getting out of my car or getting on a scooter with the thought that I don’t need it and it’s exhausting. She’s wrong about there not being a “wheelchair/scooter shortage”, most places have like 3-5 scooters for public use so yea *unless you really need it* you shouldn’t use them (which sucks and stores *do* need to accommodate more of them but that’s a whole other topic).
When I was younger my daughters always "yelled" at me to use a scooter & when I did I always made sure my cane was visible because I was afraid people would think I was just lazy. Now, being 60, I don't worry anymore.
Exactly. Ambulatory wheelchair users get a lot of grief; accused of faking or being lazy. I am a wheelchair user due to MS. I can stand, and whenever I'm in public and move my legs or stand, I get "the look" from somebody. But I do have a problem with referring to obesity as a disability. Once I started using a wheelchair my weight started creeping up. I IMMEDIATELY started reducing my calories and looked on RU-vid for exercises I could do from my chair. Being seated is no excuse for obesity.
I work at a Walmart and while we do have like a dozen or more scooters, most of them are [sadly] used by kids being lazy, or people who are, like her, just fat and lazy. . . Really fucking annoying as my mom had to use them due to being paralyzed from a stroke and a lot of times, they weren't available.
Who's going to push her stroller?? And if she's talking wheelchair, does she know how much upper body strength it takes to wheel yourself around ALL the time? I say, give her a wheelchair! Not a motorized one, force her to use it ALL the time and see how long it takes before she's complaining!! LEGS ARE A BLESSING!
They do make wheelchairs that are only made to be pushed. Who believes she'd get 1 that she had to wheel around when she could get 1 where she sat back & did nothing? No hands...shocking 😂
My mom had a stroke and lost the use of the left side of her body , my mom would give anything to be able to walk on her own and have her independence. So this woman talking about using strollers and wheelchairs because she is obese……is an insult for people who Have to use them .
As an overweight woman these people are insulting to people like me I have a health condition that causes me to gain weight, please don't offer advice I'm vegan for decades, but anyhow she is the reason why we get stereotyped as being lazy and glutons, she is demanding society change for her, listen lady society doesn't owe you anything, you owe it to yourself to make a change it you don't you will get worse and worse , I walk hours every week and do chores at home to burn calories ,no reason to be like this entitled.
my uncle is permanently blind AND paralyzed because of a horrible bike accident that almost cost him his life. he is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life and for this person to say that is absolutely disgusting and insulting.
I was obese most of my life. While some people may be ok being on the larger side, I was not happy. Shopping for clothes was always an unpleasant "adventure," not to mention my lack of stamina. I didn't make excuses for myself - I just ate everything and anything - I didn't take care of myself. Several years ago I started eating better and exercising (no surgery). I've kept the weight off for about 12 years now - I am so much happier! I wonder if some of these folks just don't want to put in the work. Yes, it's hard, but it can be done. These so-called "fat activists" make me scratch my head. If people choose to be obese when they can do something about it (I understand some people do have medical conditions that make this incredibly difficult), that's on them but don't blame the world for not complying to the "obese" lifestyle. If deep down you're unhappy, do something about it. And I don't mean start riding in a stroller or wheelchair.
As someone with stage 3 COPD this person makes me sick. I had to wait for over an hour and a half in my car waiting on an Elec. cart so I could do my shopping, that cost me $88.00 in oxygen. I'll let you guess what type of person got off to one I got. All I needed was a loaf of bread and to pick up my Meds., so the bread cost me $89.50 and the Meds were covered by my Ins.. It happens all the time. I see young people on them, fat people, lazy people, whole family's.
My husband who is ex military and now works with young people often comes home saying that he fears for the future of the human race....this video sums it up🫣🫣🫣
Being overweight or obese is not a disability it's a CHOICE. 99% of the time obesity is due to overeating, lack of exercise, and poor self care. I know that's an unpopular opinion because overweight and obese people want to blame everyone and everything but themselves for their predicament, but it's the painful truth. I know that eating "clean", choosing fruits over cake, veggies over fast food, exercise over sitting on the couch, etc. is tough - especially for an obese individual. I'm a bit overweight myself, and yes, it sucks - but I hold myself accountable. I know that I'm lazy, have a poor diet, and make poor decisions. I don't have any medical conditions preventing me from losing weight, and that's the case for the majority as well. It's completely possible for me to get to a healthy BMI if I simply make some life changes and put in some hard work to reverse the damage I've already done. I understand that we shouldn't shame individuals for their weight because we don't know their medical history, but when they act like this, it's pretty hard not to judge. And in the same sense, overweight people need to stop shaming "thin people" as if they're just born that way. The majority of the slim people put in the work to achieve their physique. They're not dining on Burger King every night and sitting around all day. Sure, some people do have a high metabolism and can consume thousands of calories a day and not put on a pound, but that is not the majority. Fat people need to stop blaming the world for their weight and start taking responsibility for themselves.
First, she clearly doesn't understand what the word "stroller" means. Second, she compares obese people like her (who have a choice about being obese) to children who only temporarily need a stroller through no fault of their own. If you follow her "logic", obese people are basically children which then means society would need to curtail their ability to make certain choices for themselves. Therefore, they should be forced to eat properly and be prevented from doing what grown adults do (e.g. driving a car, getting married, having a child, opening a bank account, voting etc.). I'm all for it!
Yes! She even says something to the point of, "Children have underdeveloped muscles." And you don't! Maybe they have atrophied because of lack of use, but those are wildly different things. One just came strutting out of their mother's womb, and the other has made a series of decisions over a period of time that has repercussions. Children have many privileges that adults do not have, but it's not free...the cost is their lack of ability to make decisions for themselves. If I was able to choose, I'd pick the responsibility of a 2 year old, the body and freedom of my 24 year old self, the stability of a married upper class woman headed into retirement, and the wisdom of an elderly person, who has watched the world change for almost 100 years. We don't get to pick the highlights of each group and demand them because THOSE people have them, so I should too, while refusing to acknowledge the trade offs that come with those privileges.
Ive heard stories about people with ACTUAL disabilities getting harrassed by able bodied people who assume they dont need the wheelchair bc the disabled person didnt "look" disabled or maybe they walked for a short distance without the chair, and sometimes that kind of harassment or even self-consciousness can keep people from using the resources they actually need. That being said, though there are obese people out there who could benefit from wheelchairs or scooters, i think conflating obesity with disability is dangerous and ignorant considering the fact that if you are SO overweight you cannot walk for short distances without issue then the problem is your weight, not the accesibility of wheelchairs/scooters.
No, you just need to control what and how much you eat and get more physical activity! This whole "plus size" thing is WAY out of control. There's a difference between plus sized and morbidly obese. People need to learn the difference. Plus size still exercises and learn portion control.
I've had 6 back surgeries. Walking can be painful but a wheelchair is out of the question. She's lazy & will never lose weight if she gets a wheelchair. My husband is an amputee waiting for his prosthetic, he hates being in a wheelchair.
It's amazing to me how she can lecture the internet as an expert on fat/disability issues while being completely clueless. Her point boils down to "somebody push me I'm tired and don't judge me either."

She might feel differently when HER “stroller”doesn’t quite get her close enough to the 100 lb packages of fudge wrapped in bacon rolled in a sugar and maple syrup mixture BUT that walking unaccompanied, small, FAST little toddler can zip right in there and grab the last bag! 😂
I am insanely fat- let’s just say 10% genetics, 10% poor habits of childhood, and 180% my lack of personal responsibility. It’s something that I’m working on, and there are ups and downs- successes and failures. Takes a lot of time, motivation; a lot of services- therapy, meds, nutrition and exercise/re-education. But holy f***ing hell. I see these fatphobia, fat-pride cringey clips and it’s both discouraging and motivating at the same time. I would be ASHAMED- reasonably so!- to ever even consider needing or using a stroller. I can’t stand the mobility scooter for weight issues, etc. type of thinking but I NEVER thought I’d hear worse ideas. I am disgusted that there are people like this. Issues of obesity and services related to them need improvement, but no one is ultimately at fault for my/our sizes except me/us. I can’t stand people who turn the obesity epidemic into a joke like this. Give some consideration to the real crises at hand, stop ignoring research, and take some damn responsibility! No dignity istg.. 😠
Imagine if she used the money she is spending on crappy food on a stroller instead, or take the time to learn to build one. Not that she should do either but jesus christ what a time to be alive.
I have type 2 diabetes and because of it I have bad circulation to my feet. After 15 to 20 minutes of walking my feet are screaming for a break but i just keep on going. I know that somewhere in my future i may need a stroller if i live that long, but not until I absolutely have to. I'm Irish so we believe in suffering.
I wish I would see a grown woman in a stroller and there is nothing wrong with them and go find something to do and stop 🛑 making an excuse and you don’t have the right to compare yourself to someone that is disabled
Here we have the difference...those who need a wheelchair do everything they can to stay out of it; those who don't need one do everything they can to get into one.
Yeah, I’m disabled and this sickens me! Crazy. She can, too, walk better, just means taking baby steps. I was in a wheelchair for a big chunk of my life but I still had to try and *wanted* and needed to -I do PT, start w baby steps and build up. Eventually I got a mobility-service dog who has saved my life -I’m not in a wheelchair because of him getting me stronger around the house (I was practically bedbound despite my very, very best efforts), then short walks, then longer walks. Ever sick in the hosp? Yeah, even then, they have you get up and walk often, despite how you’re feeling. In order to not get too weak to fight off all the infections I get from my PI, I have to push myself too hard. I have to push too hard to get anything done. So this lady….she COULD try. That would be a start. Determination. Even w/ my mobility-service dog, it’s not a walk in the park, and I have to walk so many steps and then lean on him via one of his tasks, he breaks my falls and prevents others; when my vision whites out abt to faint he knows how to render aid to me with two other tasks and one can keep me from truly passing out (from another condition of mine), so far (have had him since 2019). It is so not easy yet it’s so rewarding and important. And it’s def a challenge. I’m accepting of folks who are a bit large or have some condition that makes them large, but obesity like this (I guess wanting to be rolled from dinner table to dinner table), to this extent? Hellllllll no. Sympathetic but if she’s perfectly healthy aside from her weight, she’s wasting a fully-functioning body others dream of. Sorry, a rant, not wanting to sound harsh but this makes me sick and 🤯. What a waste. Thx for a great video, as always!
But she has a car there… so she can drive to wherever she needs to go anyway. But hey if she really wants a wheel chair there is nothing stopping her from buying one so why is she ranting ?!
I think she should have a stroller as well as a bed time and a monitored diet. The problem with her argument is that a wheelchair is going to enable her to not get any excessive. It's like giving an alcoholic a free pass to drink without consequences. Asinine
Just remember to be the best at yourself you have to work on yourself. Most people that have this type of behavior have low self esteem and want to embarrass themselves on social media. Most of this is the women who's acting like this.
