Her mother is not self-aware because she doesn't realize what she does for her daughter in the conveninent store is completely embarrassing/humiliating.
Yeah, Ming completely embarrassed Meilin so much that the latter had a nightmare and turned into her new panda form. But Ming thinks her daughter's reaction to the latter's new red panda form is just Meilin menstrating for the first time.
True. But hey, Tyler ended up become friends with Mei and her friends once they found out he's a 4 townie. And Ming and Mei made up after Mei told her mom that she's changing and figuring out who she is.
@@trashboat4759 you can see in some parts in the movie, she was in joy when the red panda was gone after she relaxed, then she transformed again because she was happy Sorry if you had trouble reading this
I think I know why it's called turning red. Ok so we know that she can turn into a red panda with strong emotions. Especially mad emotions and sometimes when you feel very mad your face might turn "red" is this also why it's called turning red? I'm not sure it's just a theory
Well, it wasn't menstruation, but it was still some form of feminine puberty that has to do with something red. Just something that's exclusive to the women in the maternal side of Meilin's family.
9:56 What if the teacher was excusing her because she wanted to save her and everyone else from danger. He must’ve knew this was an unhealthy place for Mei. I’m still not sure. The pacing, voice acting and editing are really off at this scene. I know slowing it down can make it dragging but timing is everything. You don’t really notice all that until it’s done bad and here and and at the Daisy Mart scene, it’s very noticeable.
