Great idea. One suggestion, since it's in the bathroom where there's moisture, maybe put some little stick on feet so you won't end up with a rust stain on your counter or next time spray it with clear before using. Dollar Tree pans are terrible about rusting, or the ones I've bought have been anyway. Happy Crafting 🙂
This is an amazing idea and trying to think about making it for crafting and/or stationary supplies. Agree with you Pamela about DT pans rusting, because I've had bad luck as well.
Great idea!! instead of using mirrors you could put pictures or, a whatever decorative picture of flowers, do a small mosiac etc, etc that you liked to match your bathroom, or bedroom.
You are so clever, thanks for sharing this - I've never seen anything like it before. Gotta tell you too... I ❤ Hometalk! Having said that, your tutorial is, by far, the easiest to follow, perfect timing (pace-wise), and YOU are so very personable! You have found your calling!! Totally going to do this! I am a Jewelry designer and I own Oh Goddess O for 4 years and I have a lot of stuff! So this will help me with my events and organizing my studio! Thank you Beautiful! 💜 so classy!
Great idea but once you start adding costs, it's an expensive piece. Especially that top piece from Amazon for the brushes. Cheaper to buy a pre-made item.
Exactly what I was thinking! This one was over $30! $8 mirrors + $12 drawers + $2 pans + $1 or $2 marbles and the glues, the top organizer(s) and your time, really starts adding up!
Yeah, using her statement as to the cost of brush holder, it should come in just shy of $32. Not to mention, every time you have to move it, you stand a chance of losing your marbles... literally, then figuratively...
I love these little drawers! I built a box around mine with some craft wood and painted the drawers with a chalk paint to make them look a little cleaner and it worked great! Also with those drawers, sometimes if you flip the drawer part (the part that pulls out) they open and close a bit easier. I noticed how they come out of the package they sometimes grab on the guide
I like the suggestion for the rubber shelf/drawer liner. That would prevent the organizer from moving around on counter, falling off and spilling the gems.
You can use a rubbermaid like turnstill for dining table condiments as the base. I think i saw them this week at Dollar Tree. They are round and the size of a pie pan - much quieter, and you wouldn't have to worry with rust on the vanity top.
Didn’t realize you put mirrors on the sides until you showed it. Pretty slick. I thought you were just going to get a lazy susan and sit it on one, which I guess if you don’t make it 3 organizers wide you could do. But with these dimensions I guess you would need it elevated. Of course I’m going to do one cheaper and not make it at all since I don’t wear makeup. But it could have plenty of other uses! Art supplies, holding small odds and ends if you have a shop setup, office supplies. Thanks for sharing!
Would subscribe to this channel if all tutorials gave how tos like this particular tutorial. Would have like to see more detail in the walmart totorial.
Omg 😳 I love this! What a FABULOUS IDEA! So pretty and affordable! If u tried to buy somewhere it’d be probs 150- 200 dollars! I love the way it’s all together ! My daughter has some she bought and not at dollar tree that line the whole top of her counter top. I like 👍 urs all in one spot and spins!!!! Kudos and thank you!
Love this. I plan on using paint for metal on the cake pans. I use a set of pans in my pantry and they work great. I very much like how you don’t show every little step of the same thing you show how to do the first part.
I agree. The money spent to do this little project you could go to any store that sells makeup, etc. and buy a makeup caddy for the same price or a even cheaper.
Agreed. 12 drawers, 8 mirrors, 2 pie pans, and 1 or 2 bags of marbles ➡️ 23 or 24 items, times $1.25 equals $28.75 or $30, before tax. Assuming one already has a glue gun, glue sticks, E6000, tape, paints, brushes, and a utility knife, and doesn't have to buy them to do this project; if so, that's another $12 to $15. Oh, and the makeup brush holder on top, that didn't come from Dollar Tree, so another $5 to $10 (maybe Five Below has them?). 💲💰💲💰💲😬
