There was a case like this in…Michigan, I think. The guy was on the hook for like $20K in back support for a child (by then an adult) that had been proven by DNA testing not to be his. He didn’t have the money, the judge knew all the facts and was STILL prepared to lock him up anyway. The story made the local news. An attorney (FTR, a woman) saw the story, took his case pro bono and got him off the hook. It really sounded like the mother had delivered the child without the father being present and, later on, simply named the best of three candidates as the father when circumstances compelled her to do so and this guy went from 0 to 20,000 in an instant. The state would have collected some coins off that twenty bands . What’s most disturbing is that the judge was willing to knowingly ruin a man’s life in the process. “Best interests of the child” means some guy goes to frickin’ prison for something he didn’t do and “they” wonder why men are bailing out of the workforce, going MGTOW or catching flights.🤦🏾‍♂️

Ah, so the laws in the USA are the same as here in New Zealand. Here the Judge will caution you not to communicate with the other party. If you do it again, you get a final warning. Third time you are removed for Contempt of Court, and can be held in the cells for as long as the Judge says.

I have heard of cases where a father had the child, usually more mature than an infant, tested without the mother' knowledge. Usually by that time, the man's name was on the child's birth certificate as the father and, for one reason or another, the man was suspicious as to the child's parentage. If my understanding is correct, a man cannot, or it is illegal to, request a paternity test in France.

That was tried in one of the countries over seas not sure what one maybe Nova Scotia or the Netherlands. Anyway completely backfired like 65% weren’t the father the program was shit down very quickly.

I do know that statistically of the DNA tests that were done over 30% of them came back as not the father.
