Crazy!! When 15y.o. Monica went to open up her mom said something like "dont talk about that." Surely Sally heard her. Wth?! I think something's happening w/ the step dad. Maybe physical, verbal, or sexual, or a combination of abuses. Bc Sally asked if she gets along w/step dad, she said sometimes, mom said yes! Something was being swept under the rug there. Not to mention deep rooted issues bc mom flat out said her bio dad wanted nothing to do w/ her. & the little blonde favorite child calling her sister a b!tch ,yet mom had nothing to say to her.....🤨🤔

I totally agree! She was internally screaming for Sally to catch on but she dismissed it most likely because it wasn't the narrative of the show. The man and woman who stood up seemed genuinely concerned and seemed to know something was going on. That woman almost cried for her. She pushed her mom away after the pretended to care after telling her not to mention something. That girl is probably doing drugs to numb some type of pain. I'm guessing there's a good reason she'd rather be on the streets then be at home.

Her mom was also triangulating her daughters… always calling one the “angel” and the good one.. and then calling Monica the “bad one” the “wild one” etc… That alone causes trauma and issues in the house… and usually when someone is so comfortable triangulating their children by putting one on a pedestal like that then they usually do A LOT more behind the scenes. Seems like a gaslighting mom situation with abuse happening somewhere behind the scenes. Glad you were able to catch that!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of mom and the blonde daughter at all. Monica needs to be in a rehab that she can't just waltz out of, and the entire family needs therapy badly.

I mean there was a young girl that literally screamed for help without saying anything. You say, "How about no sex at all." You do realize that kids don't always listen to their parents, right? No matter how much they put their foot down, kids will disobey. So, if that was the case with one kid, why would you think it's right to not protect your child from harm? To me, it's important to keep your child safe. I guess that's less important than a mantra to you.

This show helps me understand how it was possible for my parents to be so stupid and immature around sex. They literally told me NOTHING about it at all… I learned everything the hard way because of them not telling me how to protect myself etc. I’m so glad times have changed for the most part.

I think it depends - I was 15 when I first had sex. It was with my bf at the time and we had a very strong and loving relationship. Even at 47 now, I still remember how strongly I felt things back then. In hindsight, it was probably a bit young to handle the all emotions that went with it but I don’t regret it.

My mother-in-law had 2 children in her teens. Her oldest daughter, my sister-in-law, was married at 18 to get out of the house and have some semblance of freedom and a dating life. The next oldest daughter was a teen mom and married at 17. The youngest is now 15, almost 16, and has began acting out and rebelling. I've been begging her to put her on birth control. I don't understand why mothers, especially those who were teen moms themselves, refuse to give their daughters the things they need to ensure they don't, at least, become pregnant. It's insanity! I just don't get it.
