What gets me about these stories is how the male leads act beforehand. The crown prince knew beforehand that she was getting abused by the stepmother and referred to fl as a puppet so he chose not to help her. But now since she is taking up for herself he's interested in her now and trying to help? To me that instantly makes me feel iffy about a male lead because she deserved to be helped regardless. Don't only help when you start to have feelings for her. If you were a decent person you would've helped her when you saw she was in trouble.
The male lead, like most are written in these kinds of stories, is a walking red flag. Narcissistic, oddly clingy and creepy. He is constantly at the duchesses estate. Honey, you are the crown prince. Your job will be running the country. But nah, better wonder around with your girlfriend and get touchy touchy with the duchess at the first riding scene, after not be able to take a hint. And although the FL is characterized so far as to not take shit from people, she instantly budges and is submissive, but also constantly sighs, doesnt smile and with no fiber of her being show ANY sign of being comfortable. ??? Okay, im an hour into this. This piece of "art" is just throwing horny simps at the protagonist.

Girl villains are horribly copied and pasted. I like antagonist girls that are not jealous and that have redeemable qualities instead of trying to harm our protagonist/friend
