Yes it’s a good point. But the reality is after listening to countless experiences like these, over time people forgot their supernatural experiences no matter type. The reality is so different from our everyday experiences that they are overshadowed by ordinary life, pain, suffering and temptations. Interesting how people eventually grow and the experience becomes more and more meaningful

I think she did it because we all heard the qoute in life ''it will be ok'' so she wanted to make sure if there is more to hear than just that, cus in her first NDE god said those words. so she have got a different perspective of her reality in the second NDE.

I have no idea the horror and pain she endured. The idea we have a "job" that can be harshly imposed bothers me. The moral I take away is that God reminded her to lean on him and his understanding. Perhaps, things would have been different otherwise.

Sometimes it isn't the depression that causes thoughts of suicide. I used to go into psychotic states where I believed I HAD to reinact the story of Abraham and Isaac. And I basically was split in two. I believed the "baby" me had to be killed by the "adult" me to prove to God that I would obey him. (The "baby was "Hope:... the name I gave her because I was abandoned when I was three months old.) I no longer resort to this story line because my mental illness is under control. I just want to let others know it's not always a selfish act when someone tries to take their own life.

I agree. This is one reasons that I want to bring God's love into this world. To affirm love is a high calling, probably the highest.

I think your on to something with your comment, you've obviously given it a lot of thought. As for "attachment to their old body." If we've had it for a while, 50, 60 or 70 years, like a favourite suit, it's showing some wear. Maybe a few buttons missing, frayed sleeves, holes in the pockets. Not much to be welcomed back to. Compared to the 'new' spirit body we now have where all faculties are functioning including those 'missing' or damaged whilst on earth. When I'm through with this life, It'll be "thanks for the memories' to the body, I'm moving on. 👍

Attachment can conceal you from the truth and understanding.

Been thinking about that. Nothing is free. We get hung up (in America, anyway) on the whole notion of things being free. Freedom this, freedom that. The word freedom (free-dom) literally means the "domain (or kingDOM) of that which is free." Dom as in domination, or domesticated animal. We are essentially ruled by an idea that things are supposed to be free. That we are free. That life is free. etc., etc., etc. But nothing is free. Freedom is the thing that's basically an illusion. We do have will, and as you point out there is a bit of a degree of freedom about it. But there's no free lunch. Or freedom. We can decide whether to open door A or door B, or just sit in the hallway waiting for something to happen. But there are consequences for any action. We can have anything on the menu, but we have to pay the bill (and don't forget to tip your waiter) before we go. I don't think our will is an illusion, but I do think we get tied up with the concept of "free" will. As if we're free to do anything anytime anywhere, and its all okay. In other words, without consequences. AND its our birthright just because we were born into a human body. And I think all of that is not quite on the mark. Another aspect worth pointing out here is that such discussions and experiences often treat us and God as though such things are separate, and sometimes at odds with each other. Again, I believe that's not a useful or edifying way to think about it.

@@anthonypanneton923I concur that the dualistic separation that many NDE depict set up an unnecessary complication or conflict which hinders our understanding of suffering, life, “free” will, and divine plans/will. I have to remind myself, despite my hope to access a philosophical understanding of God’s choice of words and actions, most NDEs are immediately and profoundly about the individual person having the experience - first and foremost, then its message and its tailoring. I think you underscore an essential point about freedom and its interpretation in the US to mean sovereignty or absolute power on what occurs in someone’s “personal” life or just plain old life. It is not. There’s no free lunch. In the classical meaning of freedom, it refers to be free of bondage, or illness. Like the bondage of sin, attachment, obsession, revenge, vendettas, or debt, freedom meant to be forgiven or released from these things. Today’s term of freedom means doing what I want to do (and doing it with the consequences that I WANT to have). I think the elevated or mature view of freedom involves consciousness. What are the things, environments, or people whom pull me away from the present, namely the unfolding of now and my awareness of it? I seek freedom from those things. I seek the freedom to choose and hopefully attain those things that support and cultivate my consciousness, my awareness of the present, of now, of who I am. Basically, I want to be free from (any and all) fear that undermines my consciousness. I want to affirm love and the connections my consciousness can be with others and the eternal God. As you stated prior, seeing oneself and God at odds or competing wills is a disservice and not really helpful. I agree.

@@EcstaticTemporality Yes, I agree with all of that. Free to strive. Free to endeavor to grow in love and awareness. Free to strive to support the ongoing evolution of consciousness in our species. Free to oppose and/or avoid that which tends to keep us stuck in the muck of illusion and selfishness and misplaced self-righteousness.

In my experiences there is definitely free will. The thing is there are certain things that are not allowed. For example, in one of the experiences I had I was shown how much hatred the devil had for me. I was shocked because I felt the solid hate and that he would do anything to destroy me. I also felt that I had guardians protecting me so I could be safe. I've seen a few things like that. There is free will, but sometimes something is enforced. We agreed to this before we came here (at least that is how I interpreted part of an experience I had. I know everyone might interpret things differently). Even though a part of me might feel different now I think if and when we remember everything we will 100% agree that we want to do the jobs we came here to do. (Another example. a child allowed to play in the yard suddenly runs into the road. The parent will run after to grab that child and take him back to safety. We are being protected and helped to complete the jobs we agreed to come here to do.)

@@c88485 Agreed. I think at this point we're basically arguing over the definition of what precisely is meant by the term free will. And I think we're all putting forward some variant of the idea that it is NOT free in an absolute or unlimited sense. We have free will within certain limiting boundaries. And some people might argue that such an arrangement isn't really free.

Six years ago I retired from a job that I was at for almost 32 years. I used to joke that I was going to play that song "Take this job and shove it" on endless loop on my last day. I didn't, out of respect for those who were left behind..lol. I want to go home also myself. I have a good life yet the strain sometimes drives me crazy and hearing these beautiful experiences gets me excited to go home. We just have to hang in there, evidently we have more to do!

@@josepv 32 years is a long time. I think the longest I ever stayed at one job was 7 years. I did a lot of jumping from employer to employer and eventually to just being an independent contractor. It seemed like the only way to get ahead at the time.

I don’t think you’ll find if you’re good or evil by looking inward but by looking outward- what are your actions? What would the people who know you say about you? That’s a much less egoistic way to judge.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the “God doesn’t give us more than we can handle “ saying just isn’t true. Human torture is an every day thing here on earth. 💔 it’s just wrong.

I would think many people would have similar thoughts. For myself, God gives us a life, 'what we take on' in that life is our choice before we are born. Some souls eager to progress can take on too much & then succumb to the pressures of that choice. This, like many other considerations in life, is a big subject.

I am also not liking the background music, because it distracts the focus on the words we are hearing. Literally it distracts our brain from focusing on words we are hearing and makes it difficult to remember directly what words we heard specifically vs generally.

It seemed to be more distracting and too loud in this narration.
