It is a good method that you described but this brain washing won't last forever well atleast in my own experience,after I brainwashed myself like this my mental health began to decline , getting over a addiction isn't some just stop doing it and you will be fine thing. It requires willpower, especially with muth Marna it took me atleast a year to break free from the chains . A more healthy approach would be to get back up after every failure and not stress about streaks. Addiction is the symptom not a cause so if you fail it's not just because of you yourself it's because of your environment and you need to fix that rather than brainwashing yourself into thinking your family is going to die because you jerked off to cartoons 💀💀
see this may sound wierd but thats how i stopped it for example if you watched porn today,then skip a day and watch the next day then increase the gap slowly ,, now try to hold your urge for a week ...then a month... we cant completely stop this addiction ,it takes time(in addition try to learn something or just make yourself busy in any way)
