marami pang video lectures akong iuupload.RCD, STEEL, PRESTRESS, TOS, FOUNDATION, for structural engineering. Pati Strength of Materials, Statics, iinclude ko even Bridge Design. ALso Design SOftwares will include for high level of information
Good evening Sir. @30:14 We have the ff spacings: S=175mm , S=d/2=250mm, and S=600mm. We choose minimum S=175mm, for the critical region. @44:33 We used d/2=250mm to locate the "extended" end-location of the critical region. May I ask, why d/2? Is it because it is the 2nd least value of spacing we've calculated? Likewise, we used S=600mm at midspan (next video in playlist), because it is the 3rd least value of spacing we obtained?
Simple answer would be it is the boundary before the largest possible spacing before no necessity for stirrups :) it should be dependent on the situation of the problem where d/2 is not the critical spacing then it should be the next possible spacing available. Otherwise it should be 300mm or 600mm dependent on qualifications of Vc requirement
Yes may mga iuupload pa ako. Unti unti ko muna gawin since busy sa checking ng exam papers and currwntly involved sa design projects. Sa july magupload ulit ako. Kasama torsion. I will conplete RCD topics with special topics like seismic design and detailings. More to come pa po :)
@@iangalicia8264 hehehe i want to answer your queation but i think i already discussed it in the last part. Also i will include a vid lecture tegarding seismic design and detailings in my future vid lectures :) hope you watch my future videos and it will be included
sir bakit po ΦVc is nasa pagitan po ng Vu and 168.514 Kn @ 54:50 in which 168.514 kn > ΦVc ? Thank you sir for this video marami po akong natutunan. More videos to come pa po.
Yes i noticed it just today. I will make an errata. I forgot to conduct that the limitation of x should be 2 where it exceeds 2. Thanks. I will upload an errata about that.
As mentioned in 20:15 the spacing has the selection between d/2 and 600 or d/4 or 300 dependent on the comparison value of Vu and phiVc and 0.5phiVc. To understand the case phiVs will only be negative if Vu is less than phiVc. The equation of Vs=Avfytd/s will be used if Vs is positive, otherwise cant be used. Bote that we have three criterions to look, 1) d/2 or d/4, 2) 600 or 300, 3) Avfytd/Vs if Vs is positive otherwise not applicable. Cheers
@@nioroskyengineeringonline8968 but sir, diba kailangan natin yung value Vs para icompare sa Vrqd=(0.33 (sqrt(fc'))(bw)(d)) para malaman if criterion 1 or 2 gamitin? so if negative ang Vs automatically d/2 or 600 gamitin sir kasi less than Vreq yung Vs?
@@ildefonsodeloria1956 note that Vs is the web reinf shear force and cannot be negative since it is a part of the system. So meaning Vs0 then concrete is not enough to carry shear then stirrups will play a big role to investigate further for torsion of course, that will make use of the spacing as a function of the web reinf shear, Av*fyt*d/Vs as the third criterion to check for the least along with d/2 and 600 or the half of each based on vc requirement. Hope it explains clearly now. Cheers
Ahhhh i see, I get the part where criterion 3 is excluded because Vs is negative, and that leaves us with the first 2 criterions. But, how can we determine which of the 2 criterions we will be using po? Choose the smallest one?
hi since it wat noticed that the answer both simplified and detailed are most likely thesame. i think i have explained that within the video lecture and shown the use of simplified and detailed that has the same answer. also it was mentioned that the sue of detailed is for "from the doubt" basis specially if the axial compression and tension forces is to be analyzed for shear :) cheers
hi. that is wu as calculated in 5:36 Note that the stated equation is jsut taken from moment equation generated from the beam loading :) use your core concept in strength of materials to find the moment in the point in question by using either moment equation or moment diagram :) cheers
@@nioroskyengineeringonline8968 Sir during my design, the value of x is less than the effective depth which is I think not correct. During solving for x, I came with the formula of 200.728 = 236.06 - 81.4(x). Dimensions of my beam is 400mm x 600mm 5 - 25mm dia. at tension bars effective depth of 502.5mm, cc i used is 75mm (underground) LL = 46.17KN/m DL = 6.27 KN/m U = 81.4KN/m Span length of 5.8m f'c = 28Mpa fy = 415Mpa fyt = 275 Mpa Could you help me sir? thank you po and God bless
@@donleonardo8874 for you to be able to completely understand the process as discussed, draw the shear diagram then trace the locatuon of phiVc, and 0.5phiVc. Check my discussion on the relevance of knowong those points where spacing of stirrups will vary.
if your question refers to when x is now less than d after a series of check for spacings of stirrups, i think it was already discussed. check the part 2 of this video lecture :) check my playlists
Ang nilalaman ng yt channel na ginagawa ko is more on principle of computations with principles of analysis. I think much better sa ASEP yt channel nyo po siya ivoice oit para in the future maisama siya sa future design codes natin :) cheers.
Hello po sir, ano po yung table na ginamean nyo po sa frst stirrup distance ng beam? In NSCP 2015 po sana sir. Maraming salamat sir at marami din akong natutunan sa part 1 sir. God bless
@@triciajeneching3662 if your basis is for seismic detailing, the minimum is 50 mm. Dont forget make sure whenever you are doing an actual design it should follow seismic detailings under zone 4.
