It's just a sign convention, and the sign convention varies for different companies, countries, software programs, etc. So you have to be careful when looking at a bending moment diagram that you know the sign convention that was used to create it.

If you start drawing the diagram from the left when solving the 5th example, bending moment diagram will be different wouldn't it? Anyone knows why is that

It would be flipped if you did so. you wouldn’t want to start from the right, because oftentimes, you are solving for beam deflection (how much the beam moves under load). Example 5 has a fixed left end meaning deflection = 0 no matter what. This makes the math much much simpler by having v(0) = 0 (v is the variable for beam deflection). If you set the right end as x=0, and then have v(L)=0 (L being the length of the beam), your equations become full of unnecessary constants that you need to solve for. In the case of v(0) =0, many of those constants would equal 0 and disappear from the equations

The sign convention for shear is kinda difficult to explain without diagrams. Look up sign convention for internal shear. There are a lot of sites that explain it a lot better than I could.

it depends upon the sign convention, Sagging is taken as Positive ( from left clockwise and from right anticlockwise ) that's why bending moment is above the line.

You got the shear force diagram wrong for cantilever beam. There are no shear forces on free end, it should be a triangle not a rectangle.

No, As per sign convention,From RHS of the section, Vertical Downward Force is (+ve), i.e, Point Load From LHS of the section, Vertical Upward Force is (+ve),i.e, Vertical Reaction Force. In both the cases, SFD would be (+ve) By using equilibrium equations, Vertical Reaction Force(V) = Point Load(P) For SFD, Cut a section ×-×. There are two approach either LHS or RHS. As per Sign Convention, From LHS : SFx-x = +P [ upward +ve ] From RHS : SFx-x = +P [ downward +ve ] So we will get (+ve) SFD in both cases. Hope it helps !
