There is nothing that a herd animal hates and fears more than being alone. It's impossible for us to imagine the stress those lonely years put on Fiona. Now she relishes all the love and attention being showered on her by so many people. No sheep can be said to enjoy the process of being sheared, but if they're old enough to know what the before and after feels like, they come to terms with it. If they are kindly treated, they will will even walk up to watch their friends being done.
Loved the video style and how lovely, after watching Fiona’s dramatic rescue, to see her get her first proper shear. She has a special spot in my heart for sure.

Oh my goodness. I left living on my grandpa's farm in 1969. He had a small herd of sheep, probably 40-50. I loved being in the sheep barn on shearing day. It doesn't look like the process has changed much since then. Thanks for the memories.

She has got so used to being on her own, she can wander around, pick out her spot to relax/sleep/chew her cud and be by herself( whilst keeping an eye on things!), or she can look for company from one of the farmers to give a sneeky treat or head scratch!
