Mounting a dive computer with a single continuous bungee is risky. This method lacks redundancy, which is critical for underwater life support gear. If that loop fails, you could lose your computer, compromising safety and dive data. I strongly recommend using two independent loops for reliability. It's essential to prioritize gear security to prevent loss and ensure a safe dive.
If your own computer is absolute necessary for the dive - diving solo, at the edge of the ndl or do planned deco dives - have two computers. Thats real redundancy. It doesn‘t help you, if the second bungee holds the single computer that has failed.
I'll tell you my humble opinion. If I need redundancy I use two computers (or digital depth gauge), because one can break at any time for various reasons. I agree with @TauchEin. My dives are not "very pushed" and I'm always with my buddy. I'm not afraid of losing the computer because the elastic is coated with nylon and in any case if it gets ruined, I notice it immediately. One thing I really appreciate about this system is that I can put it on, with one hand quickly. On a boat, under the sun or when you're in a hurry, you've solved the "problem" on your own.
