Or at least a voltage tester at minimum. Obviously we didn't see everything Josh did (because of editing), but as an electrician, I'd want to know there was no power running into the shed before I smacked it with a hammer. That certainly would do the trick for cutting the power, but knowing (from personal experience) how alot of these things are hacked together by homeowners, I'd not be surprised to find it tied INTO a circuit, rather than being on it's own, which is part of the proper way to install it. For all we know, someone could have tied it into a circuit that had a fridge or freezer on it. If the home owner came home and found that circuit tripped and food ruined, they might(?) have a claim. If the circuit were tested and found to be hot (ie with power), there are easy ways to unhook it without tripping the circuit. I've always known Josh to be respectful of people's property for the most part (even in less desirable circumstances), so without his comment or the rest of the video, anything is just conjecture on my part...

I think America has a bigger problem of over-extending ourselves financially! Shed repo's are just 1 symptom of the REAL problem, sadly.

The Amish (doesn't matter Man, Woman or probably even young kids) can run circles around most of the rest of us when it comes to practical, survival and work skills! The comforts, luxuries and labor saving devices we enjoy have their benefits for sure, but they soften a lot more than just our workload, if you catch my drift!
