Shook ain't even the word for the reaction I experienced. I took down a long term style...GURRRL! It filled a plastic grocery bag...Chile! Momma was about to go into cardiac arrest(lol). My gf who always did my braid down had to explain to me EXACTLY what you just said. I still freak out a little tho.

"Shooketh" shedding just occurred yesterday during my wash day. Hadn't washed my hair in almost 2weeks and the first wash absolutely had me about to get weak in the knees like SWV! LOL! but this video just helped to clarify allot. Thanks sis! 🖤
Thank God for you because when I tell you I was shook on wash day!,..😩🤧..my two strand twist only last for 10 days or so because I sweat so much & this last set were minis…they detangle easily but as soon as I washed and conditioned my hair, it was just coming out..I paused your video to see if it was shedding or breakage, but it looked like a combo of both🤷🏾♂️..I used AP loc & twist gel and wild growth oil on the scalp every 3 days or when needed and again by two weeks, my head hurts, is super greasy and needs to be washed..ion know what happened, but that scared me🤦🏾♂️
Hello 👋🏾! So sorry you went through a hair scare! A combo of both can definitely happen. Something similar happened to me when I kept a style in for 2 months. I had both shedding and breakage galore.
I had a braided ponytail for two weeks and got a handful and I’m like from a ponytail!!!!!! I do take biotin and vitamin e but I was so hurt they were long strands too like from the root
Great Video! You explained the breakage/shedding facts WELL. I know for me I have noticed an increase in shedding during the fall and winter months. I experience shedding when my hair needs more moisture (especially if the water is hard😫). I used to experience breakage when I was putting too much heat on my hair like you described, but these days I rarely put heat on my hair. Keep these videos coming lady!! ☺️☺️👏🏽👏🏽
