Ancient melody. In the 1600s someone wrote it down the way Turlough O'Carolan played it on his harp. Way back then, Turlough said it was an old melody that told how the fairies of a big hill, Sheebeg, fought with the fairies of a small hill, Sheemore. They were in fierce disagreement about where to bury the remains of their warrior-king and hero, Finn McCool. Cool name!
