I am getting so urinated off by people rating about how her voice has aged and how her accent has changed. She's gotten older, and she's spent more time in America than Scotland. It's not 1981 anymore. It's Two Thousand and Twenty-flipping-Four! Never give up! Never surrender!
She is a fake. She's done everything possible to do away with her Scottish accent. You don't lose your native accent just because you move to a different country.
I know this wont even be acknowledge, but I fell in love with this lady when she was starting her career on tv. I am so sorry for the way this industry has treated you through the years and wish you a happy and peaceful life, God bless you my Scottish Princess xx
A lot of negative people here. I saw her yeaterday live and she sound Great. She looks beautiful. This is not her best performance. This song was the worse live. The other songs she did great. Thank God she did not retired because it was a great concert. I ❤ Shenna Easton
@@JorgeLuis-zf9fv I went to her concert in Playa Blanca and she sounded fantastic, her husband was there too and told us that Sheena is planning to record new material next year.
Sorry, but that is NOT a "much stronger" voice than she had in her prime. If this were Ann Wilson I might agree with you since she's got recent performances that are pretty unbelievable, but this is not a strong sounding performance from Sheena.
With that said, she looks great and the people on here making comments because she looks different at 65 than she did at 30 they need to get a clue. Unfortunately Sheena is not immortal and ages just like the rest of us do, but I'd challenge anyone making rude comments to show pictures of themselves then and now -- I bet Sheena looks much better in the 'now' than the commenters.
I’m 59 now and she was on top when I was young so people the pipes don’t last forever even my old heavy metal rock singers are starting to fade or completely gone 🥲..But heck still better than some of the bs going on today and she’s not wearing a diaper like Madonna .
She's in her sixties, she's been singing all her life - I hate to say it, but it is kind of reasonable that she'd have that. But even so she still makes it
May not be as "crisp" as the classic but that was damn good especially considering the age difference from when she sung the song originally. Very impressive
@@richhajdu8150 one time she said the train was significantly delayed causing her husband to be at work from 11-7, this caused difficulty with the audience hearing the new words!
I've just watched the original documentary detailing her rise to fame. Her voice was stupendous, and her rendition of this for the Bond film was glorious. Listening to this current performance is devastating. Her voice is wrecked. She's singing off her voice, and her intonation is gruesome. This is one of the problems of having a natural voice - sone singers don't know how to protect it, and assume it'll always be there. Even Shirley Bassey lost her voice mid-career and needed the help of an opera singer to get it back on track. Bassey still does the vocal exercises taught to her by that singer. Easton's voice here is coarse and uncontrolled. Too much booze, or too much singing? Tragic.
duh! coz it changes when you living in America… the US accent eventually kicks in especially after so many years!! even with my South African accent changes the more you mingle and live with Americans… duh!!!
I think that Any singer should respect his history when he or she was able to perform perfect on stage after all these years he or she must never show this weak performance like that ...just Keep the good Image Not the ugly one
What does that comment even mean? She looks great! She is over 60 and still beautiful. Her range is lower but she doesn’t try to screech her way through songs like so many older singers do. Jon Bon Jovi and Steven Tyler blew out their vocal cords trying to reach high notes like they did in their 20s and 30s.
Just leave the past in the past as it’s no good to rekindle something that you Once had. Grow old gracefully with the fact that you were a successful singer back then.
I can't sing. I wanted to be a singer. I trained to be a singer. But I just can't. But I did work with people in the industry for years, and I always warned them that vocal chords aren't like other instruments, they can't just be replaced by going down to the store and buying new ones, so you'd better take very good care of the entire body. 😁
If she can a voice coach to help with her vocal range, she might be able to make improvements of her voice, she's only 64, Susana Hoff, and Belinda Carlisle are old as her and they can still sing great.
Emathetic awareness.... She has been heavy for a while...she could loose it all in less than six months... And get help for the hirendus vocal fluttering.... But does not... 😊
So I watched this a second time and I think part of the problem is that she’s overpowered by the band. On top of that, the acoustics sound like she’s in a cave. When sung in the studio, this song is a timeless classic. In the right setting I’d bet she can still do it like she used to.
Geez!!! give Sheena a break!! she is still dynamic and only what matters here are her true fans who appreciated her then and is still appreciating her now. So what if she’s not as perfect as when she was younger? omg!! she comes across with a mature style and her humorous nature and still has appeal with her audience. We loved her this past weekend in Louisiana!!! Thank you Sheena for visiting us down South ❤️🙏
Shock of shock, she doesn’t look or sound exactly like she did 40 years ago. So what? I don’t ‘t either. I saw her 40 years ago, and she sounded like the record, and she was beautiful, but I couldn’t understand her because of her accent. Here she funny and has more of an American accent than a Scottish one. The audience seems to be having a good time, and that’s what’s most important
The sound here is not professionally recorded, it’s way out of balance, we can’t hear what the audience can hear. I’ve heard Sheena sing fairly recently on stage in London and she still has a very powerful voice, maturer, darker but definitely impressive.
If you're trying to suggest that what we heard on this video is somehow different than what the audience heard (as if she magically sounded great to the audience) then let me throw in a giant bridge in San Francisco to sell to someone. Thanks!
I am a Sound Engineer myself with 50 years of experience in audio, studio music recording etc... This is a terrible sound mix. 1. What you are hearing is the room mix, not a mix for video, 2. She doesn't have at least a limiter or compressor to compensate the lows. 3. Keyboards are extremely high! and the list goes on. but lest just enjoy this marvelous woman with her voice intact at this age. Your job as a sound engineer with a diva like this is TO LOWER THE BAND SO WE CAN HEAR HER!
@@tracytobias9367 I did too. This isn't great but no one who was popular at 30 singing notes as high as Sheena did sounds as good when they are 60+. The human voice gets lower by nature and songs like this and You Could Have Been With Me just aren't going to sound the same. Sheena doesn't owe anyone an explanation or an apology, and she seems like a really cool lady who is having fun.
