This song has helped me so much recently it actually blows my mind how much power a song can carry just by making the air wiggle in just the right way to make the little musical receptors in your brain be like "yeah, this feels good". Fuckin wild.
Their sound has a certain atmosphere it creates which is incomparable to other indie bands. It's just soooo.. chill and... just right where it need to be
I heard you named your band after Mount Joy in Valley Forge National Park. Did you know that Mount Joy is a sacred site? It has a white quartz seat on it that you can sit on that is all about Shakti energy. Divine mother in hinduism. I was led to go their on the 4th of July 2014 on a very windy day that was the remnants of Hurricane Arthur, There are two Mounts in that area. The other is Mount Misery and they are divided my Valley Creek. I was led to go to Mount Misery also and after I went to both Mounts I learned how to be balanced in my life. Mount Joy energized and cleansed my chakra system, and Mount Misery was more about teaching me about balance. If the continental army and militia had not spent an entire winter and most of a spring there, there would be no united states.Mylife has completely changed for the better now that I have explored this area and allowed it to teach me, and energize, clean and balance my chakra system, I go there from time to time now just to keep my chakra system that way.I am trying to raise the awareness of the importance of going to places like these on the earth, but especially this one. It's the most powerful white quartz energy vortex on the north american continent and maybe the planet! Mount Joy and Mount Misery were named by William Penn. Mount Misery was named after he got lost with two other men and spent a miserable night night fumbling and bumbling around on what was later named Mount Misery . And Mount Joy was named for the Joy they felt the next morning when they climbed to the top of what was later called Mount Joy, and saw the campfire smoke rising from the main exploration party campfires down along the schuylkill river. There were wolves, mountain lions, bears, Indians etc back then and he and his two men got separated from the main exploration party and were in serious trouble if they didn't find them again.Anyway, Mount Joy is a very special place and the two mounts with opposite energies so close together separated by Valley Creek is a rare natural landscape and energetic phenomena. I was wondering f you would be interested in helping to raise awareness of this area. I think you guys should all go there if you haven't gone there together yet.By the way how di you come to name your band after the Mount?
“Those sheep are rolling in the ʰʰʰᵐᴹmud again” tickles my brain in a way I can’t describe. This is amazing. Truly great work. Discovered this song yesterday and had it on repeat since, and I can tell I’m going to love listening to more.
I feel like a fuckin hipster-discoverer when I'm listening your second song ;) I love what you do, and currently I've just broke my big rule - I never comment on yt videos. Goooood luck man :)))
me and my dad will just drive around in his truck, roll down all the windows, crank sheep up and just drive around singing until we can barley catch our breath
Kids get high in the basement sometimes And tell themselves not to watch the screens It's the blood that haunts me, I can't fall asleep Cause it's ruthless, and don't tell me you're ruthless too When there is blood on the streets of Baltimore Kids are getting ready for a long war Maybe I was born in the wrong skin But those sheep are rolling in the mud again Ohhh it haunts me now, tell me it haunts you too You cut it up, you cut it up Still the red white and the blue You cut it up, you cut it up Still the red white and the blue Wasted, in the tangles of time And my baby, is she the only one left when it's dire? She said a change is gonna come, but it's all on us Cause it's ruthless now and don't tell me you'te ruthless too When there is blood on the streets of Baltimore Kids are getting ready for a long war Maybe I was born in the wrong skin But those sheep are rolling in the mud again Ohhh it haunts me now, tell me it haunts you too You cut it up, you cut it up But it's still the red white and the blue You cut it up, you cut it up But it's still the red white and the blue When there is blood on the streets of Baltimore Kids are getting ready for a long war Maybe I was born in the wrong skin But those sheep are rolling in the mud again Ohhh it haunts me now, tell me it haunts you too Ohhh it haunts me 'cause freedom was paid in blood You cut it up, you cut it up But it's still the red white and the blue You cut it up, you cut it up Still the red white and the blue
