Elfkrystal teehee. Emotional support sheep. XD. My borb has one. His name is banana (blahnahbah) his support borb is The Baby Chicken . They are both parakeets. But the banana is blind as hell. So it’s more of a seeing eye borb. XD.
It does make sense though. Sheep are herd animals. A sheep by itself in the wild is predator chow. Like cattle. They don't like to be the first down a chute, but will gladly follow the cow in front of them.
Yes! I'm over here shouting, "prosthetics "!!!! We have so many options to help animals. Often, reaching out for help means things are hand made for the needs of an animal. I'm so happy Chris knew about this! Always ask!!!! Don't give up! You'd be amazed with the things people will do to help animals. (USA)
Just wanted to add that all we can do is give every living creature the chance to thrive. Sometimes we are successful. Sometimes we are not. Prosthetics need fitted, readjusted over time; sometimes reconfigured-even for people. Bodies change. There isn't a fixed science for any of this for any living creature or being. Its trial and error. There are people so willing to help too! I've seen where even college kids or engineers will make prosthetics or wheel carts....for free if you can only pay for the supplies. Just keep doing your best. Ask. Reach out. Research. I find all of this so exciting, especially when I see how happy the creatures are! I apologize that my comments to Tim came across in a way I did not intend. I think Tim is pure at heart. I think he's fabulous! I meant only to ask him to not let himself get lost if the show were to ever lose it's way trying to get higher ratings/views. I was looking way down the road comparing to shows that have come and gone. I hope all of you who have read my comments understand me as I would like to be. I'm not the best with words, grammar, and mechanics. I PROMISE I'm a VERY loving and supportive person. I am not aware of criticizing. But, see how my first comment to Tim sounded as if I was. I guess I am just not so good with words. Please forgive me. Blessed new year 2020 all!
lol the auto-captions keep saying that the sheep doesn’t have any “boobs” instead of hooves! 😭😂 had a good laugh at that, haha. so happy the sheep got the help she needed as well as all of the other animals in this episode, i love the show so much! 💕
I understand what Charity is going through. I was born with a left foot deformity called Equines Farris Contracture (Horse Hoof Syndrome) where the tendons in my foot were so badly contracted that my whole foot curled. I had to wear a brace up until the age I was 12 until I had corrective surgery. I remember so many times as I got older having to get leg braces because I kept breaking them as I got stronger. I've been through quite a few castings myself. Charity is such a trooper. Good girl! Looking stylish with those boots!
I can not believe how fast Charity accepted and got used to her new feet!!!! How amazing is it to have a sheep with prosthetic hooves and a awesome quality of life now?!?!?!? Thanks everyone for everything you do!!!!❤️❤️❤️
That is the cutest puppy, so glad they found him a forever home! And...well done with Charity! What an incredible difference those will make in her life! You could see she was so much happier!
I've never seen a parvo puppy put down, in my mom's clinic theres a room dedicated to parvo puppies. So it was a shock to hear her say that. Granted it was s stray but
LizzytheRockerMC it probably depends where you live maybe they’re obligated by law to put them down you don’t know that, also it’s a stray and IVs are expensive so they’ll try to do everything they can’t without it
We may be pretty silly in the US, but it makes me happy that some of the silliness is able to help now and again. I love this show so much! I've always hoped to visit Australia one day.
Abby Is Watching It's always nice to know that when silly people in Australia need something they don't make themselves, they can rely on silly people in the US to deliver the goods. Love from Melbourne, Australia 🐑
Oh the sigh of relief I let out when Lisa said the virus was negative! From the tone of her voice before and the way it was edited, I was almost certain it would be positive 😭 I'm so glad it wasn't
I love that Miss Charity had her pal, Timmy, for support. Timmy made all the difference in getting her going on her new hooves. This is truly amazing and precious. ❤❤❤
It's a nail-biter to watch Tim and Jason catch those gators. That takes remarkable courage. Tim seems like such an easygoing guy, but he's made of absolute steel. Congrats to little Charity on her new walking hooves. It's been a little over a year and a half since she got them, and I hope she's still going strong.
Today I watched Chairty the Lamb get prosthetic feet, I'm an amputee myself and I was crying the whole time watching her get her feet. Also Dr. Brown you rock!
Charity is flippin' adorable. and has shoes that are more expensive than all of mine put together. 😅 I'm so stoked for her, so happy to see a solution!
I truly love watching Bondi Vet. While I often get teary eyed at the Small Animal Hospital, I have come to enjoy Tim's segments the most. At first I thought this guy is crazy a la Steve Irwin but as I progressed in viewing (only about 3 weeks ago) my respect for Tim and all of the conservationists is off the charts. Keep up the great work!!!
My dog used to ADORE going to the vet!! They had these special treats that he couldn't get enough of!! He would literally PULL me through the door...right up to the front desk, where he would stand upon his hind legs, plop his front legs on the counter, and then bark until they gave him treats!!! I miss my big, silly Linus dog!! He passed away at 16yrs of age after a long, healthy, happy life...
Amazing how fast the lamb learned to walk with her prosthetics. I have had to wear something similar and it hurt!! I hope there’ll be regular skin checks and adjustments made for this sweet lamb. I love your channel by the way!
@@rosaliewalford8020 I would bet the butcher shop that would get that side of beef would be scratching their heads, wondering what they had just unloaded. "Hey boss, what's up with this side of beef? It's missing a leg" "Yer got it on a discount". Sad, but true, that a farmer wouldn't bother trying to keep it around or alive. Time being money and all.
with the severe arthritis they usually develop because of it, for good reason cruel as it sounds, at that point it's usually kinder to the cows quality of life to send them to slaughter
Watching this from the start, I kept thinking...why not make prosthetic hooves? We do that for legs. So I'm glad that's the direction they went. And I'm glad Charity took to them well and seemed happy by the end.
The best part of this epsode is the Charity the sheep....and the fact she has an undocked tail. natural, long sheep tail, like tails are meant to be, she and Jimmy are living an amazing life
I love that Dr.Chris never goes immediately to putting an animal down due to some physical abnormality an animal is born with! Chris always thinks of ways to fix the animal's problem with a prosthetic even if he has to build it himself like he did with the little pig with no trotters!
I was so happy to see Charity walking on her new hooves that I got tears in my eyes. I was also very happy to see the little puppy in a wonderful new home environment. 😊✌👍
I don't think it was a genetics issue, since it only hit the hooves, ewe might've gotten into some plants she shouldn't have(cyclops cow and corn lilies spring to mind) which messed up Charity's development
@@prcervi : I don't know those plants - am going to look them up as here in the states , including Europe , we don't have those plants that can cause such harm . Thanks !
I might've messed up some context in my first reply, i think Charity's mom might've gotten into some plants she shouldn't have, thus making the oddball that is Charity(unborn creatures can be pretty sensitive to toxins)
@@prcervi : No problem ! That makes sense in every way . Do you have Sudan Grass where you're from ? It can cause all kinds of problems for cattle , sheep , goats , horses if eaten in the wrong time of the year . My father turned his cattle out on lt & we were very careful with it . Used correctly , a great forage , if not = deadly .
Yes water mostly I see and theres another channel ive seen where they undermine the bank to create a cave and the handlers have to get em out cause there undermining the bank and destroying the habitat. Intresting creatures who clearly have endured.
Wow amazing how Charity was born without hooves. Prosthetics have come along way. So amazing how they can fit an animal with anything. To see Charity able to walk was so sweet and exciting. Those crops are powerful little beasts. This show is really fun to watch. Dr Chris and everyone is just amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🐶❤🐱❤🐏❤🐊🐊🐊❤🐊🐊🐊❤🐊🐊
My oh my❣❣❣ I can't believe people would dump a little pup just like that and for Lisa & her team to get it going OMG😍😍😍 Happy home for lil Jesse aww- such loving family💕 Chris, I was about to cry in despair to see that Charity might not have a chance AND Suddenly, you're my no, no you're their hero -May God continue to Bless you & your teammates- much love to you all💕💕
I LOVE how much they kept saying “a life worth living” with charity. Working at a rescue… I see SO MANY CASES of people trying to “fix” their animals, yeah sure it works… but are they comfortable? Would you want to live this life? I LOVE the life worth living emphasis
Charity is an absolute angel and a brave one at that! Thanks to Chris and his awesome imagination and forming contacts to keep these sweethearts going♥️
@@sovereignspirit7640 They had to remove them because it was going to collapse on them. I understand your position. They are working to save and repopulate animals. They want them to gave natural environments
Look at Charity!!!! She looks wonderful. Her friend helped her a lot. She'll get more as she grows but she'll do great. Keep going girl. You are doing it. Bless all those involved in helping her to have a good life. And look at Jessie. He's just a cutie still and he's grown. But he still has his doggie buddy. Bless them all.
@@tootz1950 flystrike is an issue where animal(here sheep) feces get caught in the hair/wool by the animal's rectum, flies lay their eggs in the feces, maggots grow and then proceed to basically eat the unfortunate animal from the inside out. This is a miserable and generally fatal condition, sheep normally get their (fluffy woolly) tails docked so this has a much lower chance of happening. Precaution if you choose to google it, there may pop up photos of the effects(it's super gross...).
@@prcervi I was wondering why their tails were so long! Didn't know that's their natural length. Very cute looking, so I'm sorry to hear it can cause problems.
Omg I wish I had that pup so bad!!!! I need little dogs do to being disabled and easily being knocked over. It’s so hard in my area of the US to find a small dog. We have 1 from the rescue now and we adore her!!!! It’s my first ever rescue dog adoption!!!!! I also have an almost 14 year old yorkie female with cancer 💔😢 I have to say how much I love this show!!!!! The Vet’s are absolutely wonderful and I can tell they truly love what they do!!!!! All of the staff is awesome and the rescue groups are so wonderful!!!! The communities are very lucky to have you all!!! You all make a huge difference in these animals lives!!!! God Bless each and every one of you that work with these wonderful animals!!!!❤️🙏🏼✝️❤️🥰
I find it incredibly ironic that I see more of alligators on an Australian Vet Show than I do my local Animal Planet Zoo Shows! Next instead of Salt Water Crocodiles I'll be seeing the American Crocodiles on this show. Also really awesome with the prosthetics!
Just amazing. Everyone who touched Charity has such a love of the animals that they will do anything to fix them and make a life worth living. God Bless you.
Seeing Dr. Chris in a shirt that isn’t a shade of blue or completely blue made me pause the video and take a breathe. It’s been so long since I’ve seen this episode when it aired. 😊😆🎄
Great and rewarding video by Dr. Chris Brown and all the others in the video, who really care for the well being of all animals.Thank you so very much!
I am a farmer. If either PETA or the RSPCA saw this sheep on my farm they would put me out of business for both neglect and causing pain and cruelty. FYI Dorpers have many genetic problems and I have seen about ten lambs born without hooves.
PETA is a Death Cult. The founder (her name eludes me at the moment) wrote an autobiography, and many of the statements she makes in the book are disturbing. I genuinely believe that she is a Narcissistic Sociopath. In almost every chapter of the book, she alludes to her desire to completely eliminate all domestic animals and (eventually) the complete, planned extinction of the human race. FURTHERMORE, unknown by most people, she provided real and fiscal support to domestic terrorists responsible for multiple bombings here in the United States. She is a frightening individual.
I`m so happy, lamb is happy, new hooves owner🤩. She can live now normally life🐑, with her friends. Dr. Chris is clever, expert vet. Little dog have wonderful home💕💕👨👩👧👦.
Dr Lisa, you dear lady are a ROCK star. Wish we had a ewe 😁 in our area. And I absolutely love Tim, and Dr Andrew. Dr Chris is ok too! Good job EVERYONE
