I think I've watched all of her videos. Some of them twice. Sometimes I put it on to help myself fall asleep, getting mesmerized by the wool falling off.
Lol. I absolutely lost it when you said you wondered just how you got to this point in life. Yours and your wifes personality and the way you present the process is just awesome! Can tell you love making the animals feel better and know how to keep them calm and as stress-free as possible. Always a pleasure to watch and learn more about the animals you work with.
Love watching your content. So relaxing, entertaining, and educational. Saw someone else's shearing video and the poor sheep had bloody nicks all over. Love how gentle you are.
@@pacificcoastpiper3949 Barber clippers are not designed to handle things like fleece, plus the lanolin would gum it up like no tomorrow. Best bet would probably be horse clippers. :)
Never seen sheep being sheared like this, except for that 80 pounds of wool guy, but seeing how smooth and relaxing the process was and how all the sheep have different personalities, this was really nice to watch! Also, my favorite has to be that chonky black sheep Potato
5:43 Tiny May Awww so sweet... glad she had you doing her haircut because I can see how big shears on a wee sheep might have been a dangerous mix. Thanks, again, for your love and care for all of them. ❤
I had a pet sheep from my freshman year of high school up until the beginning year of the pandemic (may she rest in peace, she was old by the time I got her, so it was to be expected and she lived a life full of love) so seeing this was nice.
I follow you on TT and seeing all of these reminds me why...your sense of humor with the commentary, your excellent skills, and your care of the animals. Great video!
Your talent and care for the animals is wonderful. I LOVE your sense of humor!! Cracks me up!! Would LOVE to have just one of the Black pelts. Gorgeous!
Watching your videos is like a happy pill. No matter my stress levels or cloudy mood, I get a smile and feel bliss after just a short time. Thank you guys for sharing all this sheep shearing love 🌞❤️🌞🐑
That's great, I am glad you found something that consistently gives you that dopamine hit. For me it's Studio Ghibli movies but whatever it is, everyone should have one.
Olivia, classy to creepy. I laughed so hard. Love, Love, Love your videos. I love that you have relationships with them and inform us in a sweet funny way of what type they are and what their wool will be used for. Color commenting is great. Good on you both. Thanks
I enjoy needle felting and have learned how the different texture wools effect working with them and the finished products and it always amazes me how soft my hands are after I’ve been working on something. I’m enjoying seeing the process of shearing the sheep as well and the llamas and alpacas and learning about the animals and their fibres from your videos. I’ve often felt uncomfortable watching animals especially sheep getting shorn as I’ve always felt the animals were treated unnecessarily rough and seeing the way you guys respect the animals and allow them to wiggle into what they feel is more comfortable and even seeing that any restraints are done kindly and I definitely understand the need for it for the safety of the animal as well as for yourselves. Prior to seeing your videos I’ve only seen sheep shorn and it will generally be an entire herd and while I know there’s a time crunch for the shearer’s it’s always looked unnecessarily rough and scary for the sheep with nicks all over the place so I really love to see how caring you guys are and it only takes a second or two to allow for the animal to be as comfortable as possibly and make the next time and after that to go better and better because you take those few seconds to be caring. Animals have as many fears and feelings as us and seeing that respected is wonderful. It’s kind of mesmerising to watch the shearing too and the commentary is enjoyable too, thank you for sharing your work.
Beautiful to watch! Thanks for filming and sharing it with us. As a handspinner, I drool a lot when I see those beautiful fleeces being peeled off. Awesome!
I love Shetland sheep, I lived on the main Island and they just roam freely, as do the Shetland ponies, it was great fun walking the mile to the local shop and being caught in a gang of sheep and ponies. I loved it. I love watching your videos
Your videos are just the best! It NEVER ceases to amaze me your knowledge of different types of sheep and the wool that is yield from each one. Awesome
I first saw your videos and tiktok, I was hooked! Oddly satisfying and calming to see you shear and be gentle with these animals. Thank you! More videos please :) No regrets on watching 10mins worth of sheep shearing 🐑😂❤️
Your videos relaxes me. I like how you care for the animals that you shear, and I like the fact that you enjoy your job. With all the bad things going on in this world your videos are a breath of fresh air.🐑
You are so much fun to watch sheer sheep and your commentary is excellent. The sheep look so happy with a little love-up at the end. I look forward to seeing all of your videos.
I have very much enjoyed all the stories that you two have put out there for us. Your way with the animals is wonderful. I am totally enamored with what you're doing. Bradford Milburn Arlington, Texas
I am very impressed the way how you work so fast ,seems a lot of work ! My arm and my back will be killing me but you lady it is amazing watching you.Your videos are so relaxing I love it!
Love this content. We shear upright on a stand (only because I'm an little old lady farrier & my neck is a wreck). I have to tell people (who come to watch) to get out of the way because our sheep RUN up the ramp onto the stand by themselves (no chutes or pushing) as soon as they see an opening for their turn. I only need help with one ram who considers shearing to be some sort of extreme petting and so leans into the shears. We're also a bit weird in the way that I herd. I use the full mom arm/finger and point with my eyes averted. If they see mom eyes AND "the point" sheep move pronto. To the comments below - a stern voice is as close to animal abuse as my wool gets. We don't eat any meat & certainly wouldn't sell family members to be eaten. If they're born here they die here of old age.
Здравствуйте. Не знаю вашего имени,но вижу что вы замечательная девушка! Вы профессионал своего дела! Так приятно видеть вас среди животных. Вы делаете столько добрых дел! Благодарю вас за видео.
💕 Never did I ever think I would be interested in sheep shearing. 💕 I have to say I’m addicted to your channel. 💕 You crack me up with your lil’ back stories. 💕 Lotta love going into your work. 💕 SHEEP SHEARING WHISPERER 💕
I adore your videos 💜 I learn so much! I'm all about the fiber & learning more about those luster sheep is currently where it's at for me. I realize the videos are sped up so, it makes it look easier than it is but, you & your wife do a heck of a job! She wrestled that big one like a world champ! What a great professional team. 🍀
I just love watching The Wolf come off those sheep and to see how beautiful the wool is. And you do a wonderful job with the animals. I really enjoy watching your videos
After watching your videos, I have such an appreciation for sheep and what they give to us with their wool. I also appreciate your comments and education!!
It's always an adventure to fall asleep watching one thing on RU-vid's auto loop and wake up at 2AM to sheep shearing, presented in a very entertaining way. After a couple of puffs on my pipe and I'm drifting off to the soft clatter of snipper clippers while counting sheep. Thanks
As usual, you are so funny!! I laughed out loud at the “body shaming!!” And always informative. The sheep were gorgeous! Do you have farm animals of your own?
Absolutely Erin-Thor! I’m a city girl in my sixties- truly fascinated with your talents, strength & and clever narration! I raised my kids on a farm years ( & years) ago- you make me miss it SO much! ❤️❤️
I don't know why but your videos are so satisfying n cute commentary with adorable sheeps. Best way to spend weekend. Sit in blanket watch sheep being shear 😋
That smallest sheep, May, was adorable. I thought she was a miniature. The smaller breeds really attractive my attention. Just like in Heidi goats, cats & dogs. Bichon Frees remind me of sheep, except instead of a bleat they bark & like to get in laps. Best idea with sheep & goats is the lawn mower affect. Some of the best kept yards all over the world are manicured by goats & sheep.
First off, I'm not a vegan but I understand their point of view. Vegans are not anti shearing for animals who are already born and require it. They are against the breading of more animals for meat, dairy and wool production because farming is inherently cruel. Animals are bred and then harvested for profit, and the decisions about their lives and quality of life are based on the bottom line. It's nice to look at fluffy sheep on boutique homesteads and believe that all animals live that way. It's the façade that the industry and RU-vid farmers are selling you because the conditions that most animals live in, especially in the stockyards, are ugly. This misdirected anger at vegans for pointing this out is fascinating however because they are not even part of the equation, they are bringing up uncomfortable facts that most of us want to ignore.
I’ve no idea how this was recommended to me and I thought what would I be doing by watching sheep being shorn………………. Oh how wrong I was!! I’m besotted with the channel. I can’t believe it only takes you 3 mins to sheer one of those animals!! Those longhorn think they’re called were just gorgeous. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
I have terrible anxiety and PTSD since a very traumatic event. Nothing has been able to curb it; I’ve had meds, therapy, the works. I randomly came across these vids and I instantly found comfort. I don’t know why it’s helped me, I’m just a random chick from London in my late 20s but hey, it’s worked. Just wanted to say thanks because I’ve worked through my issues now and I’m doing amazing, even bought a house 🙏🏾💕
Awsome sauce ladies. Great commentary, love the silt music too and wow there is some truly gorgeous wool under those critters, thanks so much for sharing what ur shoring.
Thanks for your channel and content. I really enjoy it and find it fascinating and educational. I appreciate your commentary and how you avoid any harsh language.
Amazing to watch both of you. Ever thought of checking on legal and union requirements for a working holiday in Australia? The difference in sheep and working in your profession might be interesting...
Lol, you always make me laugh when you describe them at the start, and I just want May! She is a teeny beaut'. And lastly you and your wife make a superb team, seeing how you both are as a team really reminds me of how my wife and I were. We were together just short of 7 years and only married 9 weeks when she passed. She was born with only half a heart, she got to 34 before it started to fail on her.
