I use sheet metal to create insulation blankets with hole patterns to wrap around tanks. It usually works fine but some times it will refuse to rip the revolution and I will get the exact same error message he is showing above me. It's baffling because I seem to be doing the exact same thing I do when the rip does work and I get the flat pattern I am looking for. I check to make sure the sheet metal default info. including the thickness is correct and that is not the problem.
