@ghmmb It is recorded in 1280 x 1024, is it still not clear full screen on the highest quality? RU-vid may have still been processing it (it stays low res until it is completely processed).

@maikell45 SolidWorks has some very powerful sheet metal tools and we have many, many customers in the Sheet Metal industry. SolidWorks 2012 looks set to add some even more powerful sheet metal tools too. It is definitely the best choice if you need to do a lot of sheet metal and frameworks (not solely sheet metal).

Quick question from a newbie to sheet in solidworks. I intent to use alum plate / welded. The project would not use bends as shown in this demo. I just need the cut templates for individual pieces How to do this in solid works?

for example you want to cut extrude some portion some part of the sheet while it is flat. do not flatten the component and perform the extrude cut. just use the unfold option, perform the desired operation and fold it again using the "fold" option. :)

Is it the best? Depends, most 3D programs I've tried have pro's and con's. Can do 3D in Autocad and some of my most successful designs been done with it. As a precision sheet metal shop owner I have found Solidworks to be the easiest to get yourself started on 3D assembly.

Hi. Nice video. Very interesting. I would like to ask you an issue that I have to solve but I don't know how. I have to twist a copper bar in 90º. So the start of the bar is 0º and the end of it is 90º. Thanks a lot Ernesto Fraga Montevideo - Uruguay
