Thanks for replying to my comment! I'm teach a high school Product Innovation class and use Fusion 360. I started making tutorials for my students. Such a great program!
Was excellent... except ive never done this before and the speed at which you proceeded through was mach 10 to what I can do. Also the dashboard or screen layout and names have changed a lot since this tutorial was made. I think i can “fudge” my way through and I understand that fusion has changed a TON in recent years.. so.. thank you very much for the video... it still has some useful information
Probably way to late to be read but at some point, I wish ya'll would show how to import a dxf file for a Sheetmetal part and BEND the bends. I have great pain with the SKETCH and prefer to do my dxf file in autocad than spend weeks figuring out how to do a simple part in 360. Many thanks in advance.
Hello lets say I had a U-shaped profile, and i want to Cut it at 45 degrees just like with a saw, to join two of them later on after bending at 90 degrees How do i cut my bended profiles at 45 degrees, with what Tool do I use to do that or method in fusion ?
Great video if you already know how to do everything in the video and just need to know how to make a double outlet electrical box. However it is useless if you need step by step instructions.
Oh my....I really wish we could update all these old videos, but it's just not feasible. We keep them up because you can still learn the concepts, but the command mapping can be very different with the new UI. Hope this video helped and you were able to overcome that!
as for now, I can only somewhat work in AutoCAD, and Ive designed custom ITX PC case, where most of it will be one big bent aluminum sheet ... can I import my 2D/3D drawing into any other CAD software that can animate the bending process ? or can I at least import it into Fusion 360 so that I dont have to draw and bend it from scrach ? thanks
Thanks Joel! Brad is the mastermind behind most fo these tutorials we've been releasing. He was reading through he comments recently and was blown away by all the positivity. Thanks for adding to that.
At 6:37, when selected the faces to offset, a box pops up with two tabs (Depth/Parents) and two Faces in the list. How did you get that box to pop up? I am using the latest version of Fusion.
Fusion 360 sheet metal does not have this level of DFM at the moment. At the same rate, I'm not aware of any tool with THIS level of DFM. That said, get on IdeaStation and create a new request: forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation/idb-p/125
How do you apply corner treatments to sheet metal in fusion? Every tutorial i see on sheet metal has these large gaps where 2 corner bend, which I would never want to design a part in that way. Is there a way to close the corner and define the gap or just a fully closed corner that I just don't see? I use Solidedge right now and everything I draw uses a closed corner bend which is one of the reasons I haven't fully given Fusion 360 a chance in sheet metal cause I can't get past this one problem .
Hey Justin, did the other two videos in that series help? I'm pretty sure this one covers that topic: f360ap.autodesk.com/courses/sheet-metal/lessons/using-rules-in-sheet-metal
Fusion 360 provides an option for 2 bend corner relief, 3 bend, and general bends. Check this screenshot: www.dropbox.com/s/z8r5nnkd1tjonzx/bend%20relief.png?dl=0 And the help: help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-C6715DB0-D183-4CA8-BF7F-C9B84927D5BB
Not sure where you will get the flat drawing. Smartunfold.com has the tool to unfold the model inside AutoCAD. Here is the sample video. There are many videos from Smartunfold.com. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RbTIKeSkMyo.html
@@adskFusion well UI in my times was user interface and now kids think as an use ifyoucan thing. Its telling me thing and i cant change anything and things like which direction you want is connected to pray for it routine.
мда, не думал что даже в туториале будут делать через "костыль" (оффсет 0,001 чтобы табы не соединялись) почти час потратил пытаясь разобраться ( flange в режиме adjacent и т.д. -ничего не работало, а оказывается нужно через костыль
Let us know if this helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PifasCPjE2A.html I can also add a basic sketch geometry (circles, squares, lines) that is from the "Getting Started" content.
They must be using 3d sketching capabilities. Its covered in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eBNfDe6UJqw.html And here in the forum: forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/how-to-create-3d-sketch/td-p/5427491 :
